Dishwasher waitlist

I bought a new higher quality Kitchen Aid dishwasher in the fall of 2014. The machine was used approximately 35 times to the spring of 2016 when it failed to drain, as it turns out the pump failed. I thought it might have lasted longer but oh well, the problem was when the machine was diagnosed and the parts ordered. The service call was in mid- April and it was to take approximately 2-3 weeks . Four weeks later I called and was given a new order number as something had happened to the other one , Three weeks more , another call and hmm give us time..... Finally after 9 weeks a part was found and the machine fixed. The service man Shane was great, the service and order desk not so great. I run a company with 200 employees serving a large range of customers with hundreds of product and know problems can happen but this was just poor service . We have had this companies products in several of our warehouses in several provinces but .............. oh well ........

When we had problems, they fixed it.

Purchased an LG fridge with the promise that it has an ice maker. We received the fridge two weeks later with NO ice maker. They apologized and said they'll order one right away and schedule a time for installation. Two more weeks later, still no ice maker. Phone calls aren't returned and emails aren't answered. The fridge I paid for is not what I received. I will amend this review if the situation changes.
UPDATE1: Apparently LG has shipping issues and won't be getting the ice maker until the end of May. Highly suspicious.
UPDATE2: I will call you, Patricia. Thanks for stepping up.
UPDATE3: Had a very nice chat with Patricia. I trust now that the situation is being handled. There is a back-order on the parts and this should be resolved soon. I will come back with a final update once this is all over.
FINAL UPDATE: When we purchased our fridge and were given this weird story of parts shortage at LG and combine that with the reviews here, I wasn't feeling very good. However, Trail Appliances were very responsive and very reasonable to accomodate the situation. I was at first sceptical of the story, but it ended up being true. We got our ice maker installed this week at no cost as initially promised. And when we showed a lower price somewhere else for the same fridge, they gave us a refund for the difference. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. And kudos to Patricia for reaching out. Most online reviews are from people with a problem, but this one is different. The end experience is a very positive one and when things went sideways, Trail Appliances made sure to do right by us. We dealt with the Calgary North-East store. We are very satisfied with our purchase and our experience.

Poor product - Poor service

Customer service at Trail Appliances was terrible, even appalling. Do not refund full sales price of new Kitchen Aid range even though it's defective. Only give 80% on returns. General manager would not return call.

Service and sales

Please do not use Trail Appliances, I built a house last year and had the worse salesman ever and this is after spending 26k in appliances. My principle residence was built with Stepper Homes who used Trail as their appliance rep, I just called service to ask if there was warranty which they said there wasn't, that I understand, what I don't is being told that my 1 year old in the background is annoying. I get it, it would annoy me as well being in service industry but maybe being polite would help. So after dealing with them on two houses and being disappointed both times I would never recommend them, please use anybody else.

Bosch Dishwasher

Just recently bought a new Bosch dishwasher from Trail Appliances and so disappointed with their customer service. Staff did not seem knowledgeable at all about product and when I brought the dishwasher home, turns out I needed to buy extra parts including an ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY KIT! I don't understand why a dishwasher wouldn't come with all parts and even if it doesn't why isn't it disclosed to begin with??? On top of that, they carry the dishwasher but apparently not the parts that are needed to make the dishwasher work - to order these necessary parts will now take additional hunting and a lot more days - WOW - just amazed by this experience overall.

LG Canada

Why are you stocking and recommending LG products when LG will not sell functional parts to Canadians? If I lived in the US I could have fixed my washing machine leak in a jiffy with a $16 part but in Canada I have to call for service which is $85 just to have them ring my bell. Canadians are certainly capable of fixing many of the things that go wrong with their appliances and this condescending treatment is insulting and unfair. As long as you are selling LG to unsuspecting fools like myself LG Canada will get away with this. Either discontinue selling their product or ask them to supply functional parts to Canadians. As long as you supply their products you are part of the problem.

service

The manager at the Vancouver store, Warren, was unable to provide customer service as he "chose" not to. His attitude and arrogance was not what a person in his position should have been trained for. Walking away from Trail Appliances. There are plenty of other places to go.

Disappointing Customer Service!

I called in to get assistance on servicing my water softener that they previously installed. The customer service person on the phone (Rosty) was not helpful at all as he didn't offer any technical insights. Anyway, I did book the service call and the technician arrived at my home only to say that I wasted my time and money as no service was needed! I tried to follow-up with Customer Service and I didn't get a call back! I WOULDN'T USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR SERVICE! WILL NOT RECOMMEND!

New home. New appliances

First time home buyer and first time dealing with Trail Appliances. I purchased my appliances (range, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher) from the west location in Edmonton. Customer service has been nothing short of phenomenal. Sales staff, Devon and Emily have been so helpful since day 1. Quick reply to emails as well as extremely knowledgeable when it came to specs as well as features for different models for each appliance. When I wasn't sure of what I wanted, I'd always ask for recommendations. It's easy to push you to buy the most expensive ones but that was never the case with them. Prices were always negotiable and even after putting down a deposit, I've continued to receive amazing customer service. Thanks for everything. Highly recommended.

Heads up Trail appliances are ALWAYS right and customer means NOTHING, once they have your money you are toast. Very disappointing especially in this economy you think they'd treat customers with just a bit of rescept
