The worst place ever. I wish i could 've read the reviews b4 i called this place. I had the technician coming to my house on April 14 and without doing crap he charged me $487.46 and that's just half of the charge until he comes back to my house to repair the fridge. He told me the part should arrive in 7 days well that didn't happen. I contacted the company twice cuz they couldn't get information on my order cuz they had some technical issues with the computer system... To make the story short today is may 3rd and still i haven't got my fridge fix. I feel like I've been ripped off by this people

I trusted their professional website which listed the brands they service and the person on the phone seemed competent. I had no reason to think this company was not legitimate. After they came so repair both my gas oven and microwave, I was shocked by the cost, especially for the oven where it was $80 just to show up and $30 per 10 minutes afterwards. Less than 3 months later, the oven was broken again (exact same problem as before). This is when I found out that it was only a 30 day warranty for both parts and service. I called Jenn Air directly only to find out that this company is not certified to do Jenn Air repairs even though it says so on their website. A certified technician then came and confirmed that the part they had used had broken and melted in one area (so probably wasn't the right brand to use to begin with) they had also used a screw to install it that wasn't heat safe and it melted and was stuck. I paid to have the same part replaced again it was $130 less with a 90 day warranty. This confirmed I had been overcharged for both labour and the part (by $40). Don't use this company. They overcharge for both service and the parts and the work is not done properly with a terrible warranty. Call the manufacturer first to make sure you are working with someone who is certified to do repairs on your appliance.

These people are completely unethical. They charge $80 for their repairman to simply show up. What they do not tell you is that the "diagnosis" is then charged separately as labour. We paid $335 for the guy to go into basement and fiddle around with our washer for a very short period of time (15 minutes at most). The repair guy was rude and intimidating from the get go. He told us the motor was dead and was mad that we asked questions to reassure ourselves that the motor was really dead. He got mad when we asked why he could not determine the motor was dead before all the "servicing." The washer was not repaired. To top it all off, he kept saying, "It could be a lot worse, you know." We were not sure what to make of that. I emailed the company protesting both, his behaviour and the charges. They wrote back saying that the guy had "serviced" various things before finding out that the washer motor was broken. Do not use their services

Trusted their website and didn't check homestars or other review sites. I have indicated 1 star as the repair was done and machine was fixed.
Confused them with another company I had used when I was looking up their contact information.
Was informed that there would be an 80$ service fee but not told of charges that would be occurring to discover the "source of the problem".
Also wasn't told that they only accept debt card or pre-authorized credit card.
Called regarding dryer not heating.
Before looking at machine, service tech quickly listed off the services he would have to perform in order to find the problem and that they would come to approximately 300.oo. I misunderstood that to be the estimated quote. He indicated that there would be a warranty for those services. Bottom line, in and out in under 30 min, (including 10 min of discussion of additional charges and waiting for acceptable payment), for the problem I had suspected which was the heating element. Additional 200$ worth of charges. 30 day warranty on element. I called later to verify what I was being charged for and asked if there is a similar problem in 31 days would I be charged again for similar exploration and was told that each problem is different so yes. Was given no explanation why they don't take a usual credit card.
Although the tech was pleasant and competent their charges are outrageous and a we know we have been played for fools.
Their customer service rep did their best to placate me but never offered to refer me to someone in a position to negotiate the charges.
I have filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario and recommend adding your voice there to build a case for them to follow up.They advised me the only way at this time to seek compensation is through Small Claims Court.

Charge $80.00 but wave the charge if you agree to more labour costs. Assured that problem could be fixed. Could not fix problem and misdiagnosed replacement of compressor. Garbage service

They quoted $80 for a service call to look at my dryer, the repair man said he could fix it for $400. I paid and he left. The next day my dryer did not work and I contacted the company they stated that they do not guarantee the work and were rude and horrible to deal with. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I wish I had read these other reviews- they wanted over $700 to repair a dishwasher when the cost by a certified repairman came to $250. Tried to inflate the cost of the parts and totally dishonest when I called them out. Repairman loved to talk and talk and ask too many inappropriate questions. He also damaged my cabinet and floor.

Appliance Repairman came out to repair my dishwasher, which was refilling with water well after it drained completely. The technician said it needed a part which he did not have, and would be back in a few days to install it. I paid a huge fee of $600. for this. He returned over a week later following my repeated calls, and installed the part. The dishwasher is still doing the same thing. The company agreed to send him out again, but four days from now, just prior to the weekend, with the proviso that I may need to pay for an additional part. They are horrible. The part was over priced as was the service. I wish I had read the reviews. This has been a very expensive way to find out how important that is. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE !!

The hook is the 80 dollar initial service/inspection with a money back guarantee. They were appliancerepairguys for me and have claimed to have gone out of business now (late 2017), and can't refund me anything as they are now working under appliancerepairman. Broken wallet and still broken microwave. Had to follow up with the actual manufacturer of my appliance and discovered that appliance repair man had even provided the wrong part numbers - not even the same make!! Do NOT use this company if you value your hard earned dollar.
