Run! Don’t do it!

I am so disappointed with the service I received. The technician first cam to my house smelling of body odour ! Next, he asks for our WIFI password? so he could run a diagnostic test on the machine. He said that he needed to reset the safety system and that all would be fine. He tried to run a cycle and was impatient for it to finish so he guaranteed that it would work otherwise he would come back. Apparently now I need a new board? Why reset a machine for $290 if a board is needed??? I called and the receptionist said they will not send a new technician out because we need a new board! I do not understand why I was charged $290 to reset a system that you know is not going to work! This is deceptive!

Couldn't diagnose the problem correctly

The technitian came by and looked at the washing machine which was not draining. He told my wife that the pump had failed and has caused the contorl board to fail too, and that we need to buy a new washing machine. I took it apart watching youtube videos over the weekend and it ended up finding the filter was clogged (sse picture). I called up the company and they said they will not refund me for the $140 the visit cost me

The appliance pros

I have a maytag washing machine that is 3 years old. A repair man from The Appliance Pros from Mississauga came. He was knowledgeable, honest great advice and answered all of our questions. He was excellent with my senior parents. I would highly recommend this company to all people. The repair guy was amazing the only thing I do don't know his name. Thank and be safe out there.

Terrible service

My experience with this company has been consistent with the people on this review board. Terrible service. They tried to charge us 280 dollars only for finding the problem. They didn't explain the charge to us properly. We only thought we had to pay 80 dollars for a consultation. do not call these guys for any service, they will try to charge you way more than needed and won't provide a proper explanation.

Please consider this letter before you even call to this company.

Please consider this letter before you even call to this company.
My experience;
We made an appointment with this company, the person on the phone said that we have to pay $ 80 for a FULL diagnosis, or they can discount it if we sign a contract, we agreed on this and they gave us a time frame; the next day from 10 AM to 1 PM to find out what is the problem with our Bosch 500 series dryer. The next day we waited around 12:30 and called them again to find out why no one had appeared, receptionist told us that they made a time correction; from 2 PM to 5 PM (nobody warned us about any changes).
The repair man (he is just over twenty) appeared at about 2 pm, his diagnosis was; turn the dryer ON and after a couple of minutes turned back off, after which he noted that the heating element of the dryer is faulty and it needs to be replaced. In fact, I've known this before, even I've called them, but the difference now is, I have to pay $80 for it a few minutes of "diagnosis" or accept their terms and pay full price.
Discount 80, Labor costs 280, parts 486.24, and the total cost CAN 775.45 including tax.
They refused to make any adjustments to the price after we discovered that the spare part for this device costs only 112.87 US dollars, and we decided to terminate the contract, they stated that they will charge us labor cost (280) in accordance with the policy, even they did not do any labor.

Microwave "repair"

Service call (which with any other company means diagnosing a problem) cost me $80 for malfunctioning microwave. Once there, the tech told me he needed to open everything up and really dive in to figure out the problem. And that this would cost an additional $200. I agreed and after he "serviced" the main board and safety system, he gave me a quote for $601 ON TOP of the $280+HST ($316.40) to repair a $200 machine.

It's interesting that this same sequence of events happens with each and every customer. They prey on people and basically rob you as best they can. Under no circumstances should you hire this company. Also google them... a class action suit against them is in the works.

Dishwasher

I I spent $500 to diagnose the problem and nothing was fixed. They wanted an extra $1000 for parts and do a high pressure sales job. I went out and purchased a new appliance for less money.

WAY OVER PRICING POOR WORK

Say the cost for service is 80.00, then they get here don't even look and say $280.00 to look. Then they install the part after I asked everything is ok before they install cause I don't want to spend more money. Tech says yes then a day after I go to use its banging. Another tech comes out and says I need a pully system. there goes more money. Over a week I asked to speak to a manger and was told "during this time they are working from home". When the tech came to install the pully they also changed the NEW part that was installed and when asked why they did that, the teach said "don't worry". All this over pricing for horrible work. They tried to tel me the art cost 240.00 and they were giving me a deal but when I looked online the same part is only 30 bucks. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND OVER PRICING STAY AWAY!!!!!

Pandemic profiteers

In these trying times, it's a shame that there are disreputable companies hard at work, such as the loathsome company, appliance repairman.ca

A $458 repair, and two days later the fridge at our apartment failed again! AND... they take no responsibility for misdiagnosing the problem on a very old fridge that an experienced repair person, I realize in hind sight, would have recommended be simply replaced.

This repair guy exploited my mid pandemic anxiety and strongly advised that old refrigerators are worth repairing, but now their repair quote is another $1300.00. I told them to forget it, and bought a new fridge for $800.

I urge no one to use these despicable profiteers.
