LEATHER COUCH

No one is returning my calls about the delivery of the couch I purchased so I thought I would try this. I was in the store on December 5, was told by the salesman I would have a couch by the following week, and as of today I am still couchless. I have been given false information since that date basically every time I talk to someone at the store. I was told 3 times in December I was going to have a couch, and all times they called and had changed their mind because they had given the couch to someone else instead. Finally I had asked if I could cancel and the salesman said he would do what he could to help me out but that if nothing was satisfactory to me I could definitely cancel my order. So, I started looking for a couch elsewhere and found the same couch at Bad Boy - Kitchener and was told they could have it to me by Christmas Eve so I was then very happy. But Bad Boy in London told me I could NOT cancel with them after telling me I could. At this point I was very frustrated because I was just being given the run around and feeling like my service did not matter. On December 21 I called Bad Boy London and they told me they had great news and that they had got me a couch and it would be her on Christmas Eve. I was so relieved to have it by the Christmas holidays I decided to just leave it at that.....until December 23 they called to say they had made a mistake and that it actually wouldn't come until January 7. Needless to say I was very disappointed and I didn't even receive an apology...I was basically made to feel like it was my fault because they had put the wrong address on the delivery paperwork. My company coming over for the holidays had to sit on lawn chairs and it was humiliating, but I explained to them all what had happened and they agreed that I wasn't being treated fairly.

I tried and tried to work out some agreement with the manager and he too made me feel like I did not matter at all. Basically, they had my money so the rest seemed to be no concern to them. I have never done business with a company who did nothing to try and make me happy. When I spoke to the manager the kept telling me that he found it "very hard to believe his salesman would tell me I could cancel" and after about the third time of hearing that I wanted to cry. Why would I make this up? I just wanted the couch I was promised and he made me feel like a piece of garbage.

Finally, on January 7 my couch arrived, and it was the wrong one! I am so tired of this. It has been a non-stop stress and I have received no support from Bad Boy to make it feel like this is even worth it. When I called to say the wrong couch came the manager made it sound like it was my fault because I got the one that was in the computer. Even though I have a copy of the bill at home that clearly states Java "Brown" on it. It's very hurtful to be blamed for something that would have been clear to him had he looked at the actual invoice. Once again, I was made to feel like I was in the wrong and did not receive any apology at all. I am not sure how the manager thinks I could have been blamed for entering the wrong couch into their system as I am not an employee there, but according to him there was nothing he could do.

He did offer to talk to my salesman about the situation and get back to me last Friday. I have not yet heard back from him....yet again. I called Tuesday and Thursday and asked him again to call me to sort this out and still no reply.

I feel bad having to complain because I wanted to work this out. I have just never been treated so poorly by a respectable business and the fact that I keep being made to feel like this is my fault has truly made this a very disheartening experience. I now regret the day I walked into Bad Boy and chose to trust the salesman with my money and my good faith.

Whirlpool Washer

My girlfriend and I purchased a brand new whirlpool washer and a dryer...AND a Fridge over the holidays. We spent very close to $5,000.00 at Badboy, what a horrible horrible mistake will never repeat and plan to tell everyone we know about. We had two significant issues after the products arrived at our place one much worse than the other. The washing machine they sold us for roughly $1,000.00 never washed anything. Whirlpool model # WTW8500DC0 supposedly a state of the art high efficiency machine so the salesman said. Well after every load of clothes, even on the deep water cycle we pulled out articles of clothing that clearly had never been touched by water. We called Badboy thinking they just got $5000.00 in revenue from us and they will surely come to the rescue. They never even a returned a simple phone call, the General manager (Paul) assisted the sales person (Steve) during our initial visit so we figured he would remember us and would be there to help...not a chance, I am writing this review nearly 1 month after we noticed the issue and no one involved with the sale at Badboy has bothered to call us back. We tried Whirlpool they sent a technician who saw with his own eyes the clothing come out after a full cycle still dry yet the report he filed was "machine operating as normal, no repair required" Essentially whirlpool has poorly engineered it's products and they don't care about their customers as well. We are not giving up, we will be posting a video of the machine operating, or failing to, on Youtube, and we are still considering small claims court although that is a lot to go through..we may just end up buying a used machine somewhere as we have no money left to replace this one with a new one...But I sincerely ask anyone out there to beware Lastman's Badboy ....do not fall victim to a "good deal" saving a hundred dollars on a machine is not worth it in the end, please go somewhere where they are professional. Also we did purchase their "solid Gold" extended warranty not that that made any difference. The other issue we had was the fridge arrived missing parts, we had to get Samsung to ship a part. it took hours on the phone on hold and they had to ship us the item twice because they got it wrong the first time...of course no one at Badboy offered to assist us.

furniture

We spent thousands on new furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. for our living room and family room. The first delivery was a sofa, love seat, and chair for the family room. We were told by the sales rep. Andrew at the Mississauga store that the backs just had be slid in. Wrong...in about 15 pieces and all of it was defective missing parts that the factory should have installed. The manager Tina suggested this set. I can't imagine what the stuff that they don't recommend is like. Their customer service dept. is unreal!
The rudest people I've ever dealt with. After being on hold for about 30 mins each call. My wife has taken to dealing with the matter at the store level. They said they have to have a furniture tech...what ever that is.......come to our home to look at the pile of boards and cushions. We have 2 more sofas being delivered later this week. Hopefully this set for our living room will be better but I'm not holding my breath.
We used to buy most of out appliances and furniture from Bad Boy but after this experience and lack of professionalism from both the store and customer service I highly doubt I would be back.
Bad boy states they have the lowest prices but what they forget to add is that it's because of cheaply made (no QC) products and lack of training for their floor and support staff.

BE AWARE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BAD BOY REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY. THEY MAKE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT WHICH STATES THAT PRIOR TO RECEIVING ANY PRODUCTS.

sofa set

This company totally makes me sick! I had to deal with a customer service representative named Renza. She is the most unprofessional person I've ever had to deal with in my life and to think she's a supervisor. She gave me a credit and all of a sudden she takes it back. Then she had the nerve to call me and be rude and call me names. This lady needs to be fired immediately! Because of her, I'm out of $1070! Bad boy robbed me and I guarantee they won't hear the last of me.

Leather Furniture

We purchased a leather sofa, loveseat and armchair in late spring of 2011, together with the extended warranty on Bad Boy's recommendation at a total cost of $2,700. Not the most expensive furniture out there but certainly not the cheapest. Twice within weeks they delivered the wrong suite, but finally the correct one arrived. Earlier this year the material between the cushions started to split so we contacted the extended warranty company. They sent out a technician to inspect the furniture. We were later told this was not covered under the extended warranty as the material between the cushions was not leather but vinyl. When I complained, we were told we should have read the small print. We contacted Lastman's customer service and was told initially that they would maybe repair the furniture and pay 50% of the cost and we would have to pay the other 50% but they asked that we send additional pictures to them. After a day or so we received a phone call from customer service and were told that the material used between the cushions was no longer available. It was obvious from the pictures that this furniture could not be repaired as the material had practically disintegrated at this point. I should also add that the furniture is basically used by myself and my retired husband. We do not have any young children or pets living at the house. Customer service told us, as they valued us as a customer, they would offer either a refund of our extended warranty or an in store credit of $250! This is disgraceful customer service. Why on earth would they think we would buy more furniture from them when our first purchase was of such poor quality. We now have the cushions covered with a blanket as the foam is totally exposed and very embarrassing when we have visitors. I can only hope, that by way of people reading the reviews, they will think twice before purchasing from this company.

Kitchen appliances

I bought kitchen appliances from Bad Boy in Jun 2014 to be delivered for my house in Nov 2014. The very next day I found that screws for the refrigerator are missing and there are scratches on the stove and Fridge door. I informed the service department the very next day and its been more than 5 weeks but no response or resolution to my request. They didn't even bothered to call me back to understand my problem. I went to the store and found out that sales man I dealt with has left and now start the blame game between sales and service department. I don't care who is at fault but I need my queries to be addressed immediately. very bad experience so far

Sofa, chair and coffee table

Boyfriend and I picked out new couch, chair and coffee table some time in November. Bad Boy only delivers to our area once a month and we had just missed the delivery date so we had to wait a month. Fine. Except they all us a day before DD telling us our stuff is on back order and won't be delivered for ANOTHER MONTH. we had already got rid of our old stuff to the dump and could not go a month without furniture. Unacceptable. So they tell us to come down (50 minute drive which we had already made to pick our original stuff) and pick out new stuff that would be in stock and could be delivered the following day. So we drive back to barrie and have to settle for furniture that we didn't like as much as our original choice because it was all that was in stock at the time. The couch and chair arrive the next day but the coffee table was still on back order for another month. We decide after a few more weeks of waiting that we no longer want coffee table. Make the call to Bad Boy and customer service tells us that we can only have store credit. This is ridiculous Bad Boy. Get your crap together. And if you can't satisfy the customer, offer more than store credit. What if I don't want to order from your crappy store again? Now I'm being forced to?

bedroom

Well its been 7 months and still no furniture fixed yet ! They are giving me the run around ! I am sleeping on a twisted mattress box spring and my son is sleeping on a broken bed and the dressers still not fixed ! The lady from Toronto calls but that's has far has it goes ! Bda boy there's nooooobody worst in customer service than you ! DONT BUY FROM BAD BOY ! It a bad mistake ! They will do anything to get you to buy but when some problem arise they will turn the other cheek ! If god is watching over you he knows what kind of people you are , and you are a bunch of bad people ! The next step is the lawyer and soon its been 7MONTHS ALREADY AND THINGS STILL ARE RESOLVED! THE SERVICE DEPT SHOULD BE ALL FIRED ! Please Mr lastman help me !

Fridge and stove purchase

London location. The salesman was nice however specifically told us delivery would be $55 then charged $65. Waited over a week for delivery of 2 appliances. The salesman kept saying how he used to work for leons and how much better bad boy was, but we totally regret not going to leons. In the past when we have had deliveries done, packaging is taken away and handles are installed etc. these delivery guys couldn't leave fast enough. The worst part is they HID the packaging beside our house where we wouldn't see it right away, didn't ask where to put it and we got a warning from the housing association because of their negligence in leaving it randomly half hidden beside our house. They didn't offer to attach handles or anything. Very poor service. We will never buy from them again (and we need to purchase multiple pieces if furniture and appliances soon)... And anyone who asks I will steer them away, in fact they should run in the other direction.

Sofa set

My husband and I purchased a sofa set from Bad Boy Whitby location and regret ever deciding to do so. Once you purchase furniture from them, they do NOT stand behind the quality of their products. The sales rep highly recommended we purchase the set we did and going on his recommendation, we decided to buy the set we recommended. Biggest mistake ever! After only TWO months of having the set, we noticed the love seatbegan cracking and ripping. We had to send it back for repairs only two months from purchase! Unacceptable. But this was only a sign of what was to come. Slowly over the months, it began cracking and tearing in multiple locations on both sofa and love seat. In the summer of 2014, my family endured a health scare, so because we were caught up dealing with our health crisis, we were unable to deal with the sofa issues.
When I finally had a moment at end of November, I contacted Bad boy and explained the situation and told them that their is obviously a quality issue with the set I bought and they probably shouldn't even be selling this quality of furniture in their store to begin with, a the set is ripping and tearing all over the place!
I was abruptly told by the rude customer service reps at head office that since my manufacturers warranty ended in September, that I was out of luck. When I explained that the damage was their from months ago, while still under warranty, but I was up dealing with a family crisis, which is why I wasn't able to call then, they rudely explained to me that it's not their problem and I should have bought the extended warranty.
I explained to the rep that first of all I was never offered an extended warranty and furthermore, this is an issue that extends beyond warranty as it stands to the quality of the products being sold!! Their is obviously a problem with the material used to make this set, otherwise why would it show damage only two months after having it home?? And then crack and rip all over the place! Even a sweater lasts longer than this, let alone a sofa set that one spends a thousand dollars for!
The condition of my sofa set looks like it has been around for ten years, but we've only had it for a little over a year!! I would understand if a small area tore but this is both sofas cracking all over the place! Why would Bad boy even be selling a product like this??
I am disgusted and very disappointed at the quality of their merchandise and the customer service team that deals with complaints are very rude and disrespectful.
I have left a message to have a manager return my call to try and find a resolution, but so far have not heard back.
If I do not get anywhere with management, I will be contacting a lawyer and CTV news and my local newspapers to tell them my story.
Very dissapointed Bad Boy. Shame on you for selling this quality of product in the first place and then not even attempting to work with your customers to find a resolution after they were conned into purchasing such a piece of junk from your store. Shame on you.
