Dryer Extended Warranty

Sears Canada ...Warranty service...WHAT A JOKE! Process starts May 11, service call, orders part, week goes by, another repairman comes, says thats not the part that should of been ordered, replaces something else. Guess what's coming next you got it, will the dryer work today no! Same issue. Call Sears back oh we can come out on May 29th, oh thats awesome, wait its May 21 today, how inconvenient will that be? So I can wait another week, likely for another misdiagnosis so glad I invested $400f or your service plans they work great, Supervisor well thats the best I can do, won't supply her surname and won't escalate to anyone you're a joke Sears! Worse thing for you , you lost my business today

sears

i ordered a window roller shade from sears canada, it arrived i picked it up from a sears store. tried to put it up, it didn't work it is defective, i called and they told me to go to a sears store to confirm defect and they will order a new one so i can come back to pick that up. unacceptable customer service....

Extended warranty

I purchased a complete kitchen appliance set of Kenmore elite plus washer and dryer for $12000 in 2011 and was duped into buying extended warranty on the promise that if not used, it will be given back to me as vouchers. Well, when the warranty on 2 items was about to expire last Aug, they hounded me day and night to further extend. When i declined and asked for the credit, they said to call once expired. So now i call to get my credit back and they say, sorry! You SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE DAY AFTER IT EXPIRED. Now it's too late! They keep saying it's in the contract but when they were hounding me to extend again, not one person mentioned having to call THE DAY AFTER EXPIRY!! So i have been duped and ripped off. And i have $600 more dollars locked into extended warranties on 6 other appliances. Take note: when u buy the EW, it actually nullifies the 1 yr manufacturer's warranty!! In other words, if u use the warranty in the 1st yr thinking it's the manufacturer's, you are wrong! It's the Extended Warranty so no credit for u at the end of the period.

Buyer be ware! So disappointed.

fridge warranty

I was a Sears person, loved all 9 major appliances that I have purchased until my fridge broke down and the stuff not in the fine print you don't know. Did you know that if you have purchased the five year warranty that you can get a rebate on if you don't use it (we will get to that in a minute) with the warranty if your fridge breaks down you will be informed by the warranty department that the service tech has to take pictures and do an inventory of your fridge to get back any of the 200.00 dollars you are eligible for in your warranty. I am on day two with rotting food in my fridge and freezer the tech will be here in two days and if I throw it away I do not get anything for the spoilage. Good warranty!!!! Secondly you have thirty days after your warranty runs out to call the warranty department to claim your byback if you had no claims and get a coupon good for 90 days. They are supposed to call you 6 months previous to running out. I had a major appliance with no claim this summer, they did not call and even verified they did not call so I wanted to use my coupon since they did not call. They would not honour even though they did not call which is in the contract or even discount a new fridge upgrade if this one can't be fixed. So be warned if they offer you a warranty on your appliance and hopefully you will not have to live with rotting food in your kitchen to get what you paid for. Shame on you Sears.

Kitchenaid Refridgerator

I purchased all my new appliances from Sears just over a year ago. I also paid for the extended warranty. Just over a year and my fridge and stove break down within a week of each other. It's been almost a month and my stove has yet to be repaired due to back ordered parts. My fridge has been looked at several times and on its second parts repair. The food inside has spoiled twice. I called Sears customer service and they refuse to replace it with a new one. I think my next step is to file for small claims court. It's ridiculous that I spent all that money and have to go out to eat. Time spent waiting for the service guy, lost food, time, inconvenience. Sears and Kitchenaid have both changed over the years...too bad it's been for the worse!! I will never buy from Sears or Kitchenaid EVER AGAIN!!

difficulty getting reimbursed when product is not available

First everyone needs to know that all Sears "Canada" customer service is in the Philippines! Purchased a fridge, 4 times the delivery date was confirmed followed by a call that "no longer available". I asked the purchase cost be reimbursed to my credit card as I needed a fridge asap. 3 days have passed, I've made several calls,but supervisor not available "on another call", twice a promise for a call back - hasn't happened.Good business practice if a company can use X number of customer credit for x number of days with no product in return. WARNING advised if you buy from Sears Canada!

Sears Canada on line appliance purchase

Purchased & paid for a fridge by telephone. Sale was confirmed along with delivery date followed by 2 email messages & 2 phone messages confirming the delivery time & date. 2 days before delivery I get a call from Sears that the fridge was no longer available. I asked for a call back to confirm that the purchase amount had been credited back to my account, I was assured there would be a call. Still waiting......

Bad Service Dont waste time

Avoid Photo service. I went in for a Passport photo. The girl there was inexperienced wasted time and made incorrect photo that was rejected by Passport office, Later she told me to go to Wall Mart store for a correct photo,

Washing Maching Repair

The repairman came last week, cost $100 for consult. He took one look at the outside of the machine (1 min) and said, what happened? I say I think the pump is broken, it makes noise. He says he'll order the parts, phones me back with a return time. Today is that day. No confirmation call, so I call this morning and confirm. They are coming from 12-4. So I call in at work and take the day off (costs me money, btw). I wait, nobody comes. At 3:30, I call to confirm if repairman will make it or not. They tell me I need to reschedule, because the repair was scheduled yesterday, and I am mistaken. I lose my cool, say some things, ultimately hang up before I blow a vessel out of my head. I phone back, I say I want someone to double check with the dispatcher. They hang up on me. I phone back, this time to a different department. This time I am assured the repairman is coming. I wait 2 more hours, he does not come. I phone back again, and they tell me that all of the parts for the repair are not yet at their facility, and there never was going to be a repair today. I'm losing my cool. I tell the person on the other end of the line that this is very unfair, I am now losing double the money because I will need to take another day off of work. She replies with the usual I-don't-give-a-sh** call centre intonation: "Yeeeaaaahhhhh I'mmmm realllllyyyyy sorrryyyy." "I know you're upset but would you like to..." She seamlessly begins trying to sell me some of her overstock bullsh**.
I am fairly certain this is why there is evil in the world. It is created from simple people who need clean clothes and pursue repair by engaging Sear's Parts and Service. Satan lives and he lives at Sear's Canada.

I can't make a joke about scheduling better than inanimate objects because my phone has long surpassed the capabilities of the staff in this regard.

Don't ever call them, unless you're actively engaged in wasting time as a hobby.
