I paid the annual fee up front. ADT rep visited home, provided recommendation, package options and pricing. The sales rep was late for appt. He did however call prior to appt time to advise he would be late. The pricing is competitive to other providers, yet, seems to me that all "online " options are far too expensive, a cash grab really, as Internet and cell networks are everywhere and minimal cost. I chose a "non-smart" no Internet or cell solution, purely on cost. An appt was arranged for install. Like the original appt, the installer arrived significantly later than the appt time, although did call in advance to advise he was running "late". The outcome was fair, install complete, but I need another "technician" to come to the house as outdated and malfunctioning equipment was installed in the home. In all, a reasonable experience, about as expected, I would recommend, very thorough rep and installer, both took the time with me to ensure my understanding, confidence, and protection.
