Sofa set

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing anything from this store. Whatever happen to making the customer happy when purchasing your products. Exactly like everyone else here been on hold for long period of time, decided to actually go to the store to speak to someone in person. When I arrived I was I asked to speak to the manager, the manager said what can I do for you, I shortly explain I needed my sofa fix because I was promised something different when I purchased the warranty. The warranty company actually told me they really not a warranty company, I'm like it says right here on the package. And she proceeded to explain which made no sense. Anyway the manager from the Scarborough location said he wants to help me and to come back next week as today they having a private sale. I'm like but I'm here now why can't you take a few minutes to speak to me nothing on the door said that we cannot come in. It said OPEN!!! He then continued to say I'm sorry can't help you today but if you want me to help you come back Monday, he said I want to make all my customer happy so come back. I was upset that he didn't want to speak to me then. So I came back the Monday as he had asked, wait hour and half to get the answer "I can't help you". I said to him why would you make me come another day if you were not intended to help me, kept repeating he was having a private sale and couldn't help me then. He then advice me to contact there service email which I have twice already and I have not gotten no response from anyone!!!! I just moved into my own place and was excited to purchase my furniture. Bought the warranty package from the advice of the sale representative who mislead us to believe they would fix anything wrong with the sofas since it's bonded leather. I asked the manager to honour what the sales representative had told me. He said he can't because he no longer works for them. Just sad to know that they ruined my experience of buying furniture for my first time and turned me away in the belief he was actually going to help me, if I come back another day. I come back and left feeling the same way I felt the day before with him. Frustrated, angry and extremely disappointed in the service.

What makes it even worse I had purchased a bedroom set with them as well since I just moved out on my own and had no furniture. I was without a bedroom set for two months, I had asked to get my money back because I was sleeping on the floor, and they could careless and said they can't give me my money back. I had explain to the sales representative that I need it ASAP and he guaranteed me it will arrive that's why I purchased it with them. I didn't understand how they couldn't give me my money back if I had not had the bedroom set in my home!!!!!!! If I had know it would come in two months I would have never purchased it. Two months later I got my bedroom set and do you think the store apologized for me having to sleep on the floor with my mattress NOOoo!!!!

Advice for anyone take your time and read reviews and don't purchase anything until you had time to think about all the possible outcomes. Don't let you excitement get the best of you. Don't believe the sales representative and if they are guaranteeing you anything have it in writing.

Will I recommend this company to anyone? No, all my friends and family know about my experience so they won't be purchasing anything from Bad Boy!

Sofa Set

Bought a sofa set. they delivered 2 weeks later. Sofa was damaged upon delivery. They won't take it back and told me it was my problem and needed to call Customer Service.

By far the worst CS I have ever dealt with. Don't bother leaving a message because they will NEVER get back to you. Instead feel free to sit on hold for a long time only to get a snappy lady giving you some other kind of excuse as to why they can't replace your sofa right away.

Over a 3 month period I was told, we don't have any in stock need to order (we will get back to you), we realized they are not in our warehouse and need to call manufacturer (we will get back to you), we had 1 in stock but it was sent out to another customer (we will get back to you). By far the most frustrating purchase I have ever dealt with.

After 3 months of getting NO answers or help I enlisted the help of my lawyer to try and setup a law suit for them refusing to supply me with my purchase I made 3 months ago. I left a message and told them I need a delivery date or my lawyer will get involved. 15 minutes later I got a phone call, they had a sofa magically in stock and delivery was scheduled a few days later.

To top it off the entire process I was promised a gift certificate for my inconvenience, however they could not send it out until my file was rectified and closed. So after having everything in order I called back and was given the following answers everytime I called:
1. Sorry your file is closed we cannot process your request anymore.
2. Ok we will send you $75, it will arrive in 3 weeks. (They falsely claimed they were sending me one but never actually did)
3. Call back to see if it was sent out, and was told they need to look into and will call me back
4. Call back again, and was told the exact same thing. (oh and I did i mention, I said I do not want a call back but rather I would like to wait on hold. The exact response I got was "Sorry Sir, it is against company policy to place customers on hold")
It's now been 2 weeks and no call back as figured.

Also, after you call, they will spend 5 minutes reading notes on your file, at which point their tone changes ENTIRELY!!! and all of a sudden they can't seem to help you anymore.

When you ask for their name/employee ID they always give you a name like , Anna-marie, or Anna-bell. Yet good luck EVER trying to talk to that person again. Maybe, a bit crazy but am convinced they give fake names, so they can identify "trouble makers" when they call back.

WORST COMPANY EVER!

Leather Sectional

NEVER BUY FROM BAD BOY ESPECIALLY THE BRAMPTON LOCATION!!
I have never been more dissatisfied with Customer Service than I have been right now. My husband and I purchased a leather sectional for our basement. Unfortunately, we were not able to fit the sectional down the stairs. The delivery men left the sectional in our garage, after damaging our walls in their attempt to fit the sofa down our stairs. We proceeded to call the Manager at the Brampton location. We first spoke with Jay who advised that we can return the sectional, but would have to pay a 30% restocking fee. They claim our sectional was a special order. The only special order was we chose another colour then what was on display. We were not willing to pay any restocking fee, especially 30%. We then asked to speak with the store General Manager. After a few messages, we finally got a call back from Ali, who told us the same thing. Refused to accept the return of our sectional without providing a 30% restocking fee. The next day, we got a phone call from Shamala who was the store manager working the day we bought our sectional. We were told the same thing that our only option was to pay the 30% restocking fee or keep the sectional (that we have no use for as it does not fit down our basement). I then decided to call head office. I have left three messages for Renza and Rimbi and nobody has returned my call. I am currently on hold again with head office trying to speak to somebody. I have been on hold for an 1 1/2.

I will NEVER buy from Bad Boy again nor will anybody that I associate with. They have to be the worst company ever to deal with.

Bedroom furniture, couches

DO NOT buy from Badboy...EVER!!! After 10 months of having technicians cancel appointments to come to my house and myself going into their warehouse to get my bedroom furniture fixed I am still dealing with this. They can't fix the furniture. The response I got from their customer service manager was "didn't you check it in the store?" What a joke. After speaking with their president and agreeing to a low sum of money back...I have had to follow up with phone calls 2 times for my cheque. Which was promised to me that following week. It's now going on 4 weeks and I still have not received the cheque. I have left messages and spoken to the president again asking where my cheque is and he has never followed up with it. Not only do they not back the product they buy, you can't trust their word either. Lastman's Badboy you should be ashamed of this company. I wish I had read these reviews before I bought from them.

I went to the store in Mississauga on Monday Aug 11th, I asked for Mario because I have had great service from him before. Got great service again. Good price, next day delivery everything so far with the products is great

Badboy Washer Purchase

DO NOT BUY from Badboy ever!!!! unless you do not want a refund option on your purchase. We purchased washer and after delivery delays we asked for refund and were told sorry we don't do that. We purchased based on avaialbility and quick delivery and have now been 2 weeks without a washer. I could have had 3 other companies deliver within 3 days and could have done refund if needed - NOOBody's better than Badboy- that is a joke!!!!!! Should be everyone is better than Badboy! Save yourself a hassle purchase eleswhere! And I was a repeat consumer with them!!! Never again!

REFRIGERATOR

Unfortunately, this was my first and LAST purchase from Bad Boy. Initially, I was impressed with the store: The salesman took a great deal of time to search out an appliance to my very specific requirements; the price protection policy seems exceptional; the “solid gold” warranty (as explained by the salesman) seemed exceptional. I can’t speak to any warranty issues at this point, since I can’t even seem to get anyone to respond to the delivery issue! If trying to get a response from the delivery issue service department is any indication, I’m already dreading the day when I may have a warranty issue. Never mind that the appliance did not arrive in the warehouse, from the manufacturer, on the date promised (I’ll go ahead and blame the manufacturer) and therefore was delivered much later than promised. Never mind that the delivery team was in speed mode and when I asked about the handles, the fella pointed to a couple of boxes on the floor and says, “They’re in those boxes”. When I ask “How do I put them on?”, he says “Don’t worry, they’re easy to put on.” Seriously? Never mind that I’m fairly certain the refrigerator I ordered HAD handles on it. I don’t recall any notation saying “some assembly required”. One wouldn’t expect to need an “alan key” when purchasing a refrigerator! Why does Ikea come to mind – a store known for its products requiring assembly? But never mind all that, because you have 3 days to report any issues regarding your newly delivered appliance. So, on the day of delivery, I call the store to report my issues: faint scratches and small dent on freezer door; freezer handle doesn’t fit flush to the door and keeps falling off; French doors don’t line up. The store tells me to call the delivery department. I call the delivery department and they tell me to talk to the service department. To make a long store shorter, I’ve now left 4 messages on 4 different days. I just called the store in Burlington, where I purchased it and explained that the hold times are very long and an option is given to leave a message, so I do, but no one has returned my calls. The gal at the store suggests: “No offense, but perhaps you could leave your phone on speaker and do other things…so you wouldn’t have to leave a message.” Seriously? Apparently, at Bad Boy, the onus is on the customer to ensure good service, when it should be the other way around. I asked for the store manager but the gal said “this isn’t really an issue for the store manager”. Well, I beg to differ! It absolutely affects the manager at store level because overall customer satisfaction trickles down to store level. When I made my purchase at Bad Boy, I informed the salesman that I needed more appliances, 5 in fact. As a result of the poor post-purchase service I’ve received, I’ve just this week purchased 3 of those 5 remaining appliances from another company. So yes, it is an issue for the store manager – his store just lost 3 major appliance sales for sure, with a loss of another 2 imminent. That’s not good business Do I expect the store manager to solve the issue? No, of course not. But I do expect him/her to be interested in an issue that WILL affect the store’s bottom line. That’s just good business. On a final note, I can’t say that I’ve ever dealt with a company that makes no apology for its inefficiencies. Neither of the 2 people I actually spoke with, offered an apology for MY inconvenience. Instead, they seemed to suggest the fault was with me. Really Bad Boy? Really? Don’t bother asking me to email the “social” address or whatever. I think I’VE done enough - I made a purchase from you in good faith. What have you done for me? I might be left with a sub-standard product that I paid close to $2000.00 for, but on a positive note, I’ve learned where NOT to shop.
Post script: Just this moment got a call from a gal at the store, telling me to call the manufacturer!!! The appliance has only been in my house for a week today and I’ve left messages on FOUR of those days. Wow. I guess if they don’t return your calls in the 3 day delivery period, they figure they’re off the hook? Sorry Bad Boy, it doesn’t work that way. I guess my next step is to, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau? I’ve NEVER had more buyer’s remorse than I have right now. UNREAL.

Ordered a fridge & stove at Bad Boy London, Ontario
Got a call last Thursday saying they could deliver them earlier than expected..on Saturday. Thought this was great. Arranged disconnection of old gas stove and removal of Fridge. Last Saturday afternoon nothing had arrived and I had not received the advance call with delivery window. Called delivery and was told that I was not scheduled for another 2 weeks. Was basically told I was not being honest about the early delivery call.
Fortunately I still have the voicemail message from Lastman's Bad Boy asking me about the early delivery. (I then called back to confirm with them and arranged gas stove disconnection/reconnection)
Played this for the Operations Manager the next day at the London Store. At first he admitted that Bad Boy had made a mistake. Following day they made token offer of of $100 store credit plus a promise to deliver on Tuesday. After being accused of being dishonest and then getting the run around, I just wanted to cancel my order and have nothing further to do with Bad Boy.
Operations Manager refused to cancel order. When I asked who else I could speak to, he gave me a number. Turned out to be the extended service number. They referred me back to Store General Manager. He refused to cancel the order and says there is no "Head Office" that I could speak directly to. I want nothing to do with Bad Boy, and will not be accepting delivery if they ever attempt to make it. Will continue trying to cancel order and get money back.
STAY AWAY from Bad Boy if you expect any sort of positive customer service.

They initiated all this by calling me to arrange the early delivery and failed to follow thorough. Then they suggest that was not possible because they knew the fridge was not in their warehouse. Meanwhile I have the recorded message of them saying the Fridge was arriving as warehouse on the Friday and they already had stove. Now they won't let me cancel order and will try to keep my money. Hard to believe they are still in business.

It's too bad, the actual sales guy I made the purchase from was nice. Everything down hill from there.

August 20th Update - Situation was resolved to my satisfaction. It is unfortunate it took Head Office (there is one!) rather than the General Manager at the London Ontario store, but my order was canceled and refund received.

Stove

My boyfriend & I purchased 5 appliances from Bad Boy on June 20. We were told by the manager that the stove we wanted was a special
order (as we requested dual fuel). They didn't have the stove in the showroom so the manager showed us a picture of it on the computer. We agreed that the stove he showed us was the one we wanted. We went to Bad Boy on June 25 to pay for the appliances, as they told us everything would be delivered on Saturday June 27. And everything WAS delivered on Saturday. Except it was the wrong stove. We told the delivery guys to return it. In the meantime, I called the store. The manager we had previously dealt with was not there (returning July 2), so I spoke with the manager on duty. After I told him about the stove, I also mentioned that the handle on the Fridge was scratched. He told me there was nothing he could do. That I should call back on July 2 & speak with the manager we originally dealt with about the stove & to call Service regarding the Fridge. We went to the store on July 2 & spoke with the manager that placed our order. He told us there was an error on their side - that the sales person wrote the correct SKU but the incorrect model number in the order form. He then proceeded to tell us that we "were 50% right & they were 50% right". I'm not sure how he came to that conclusion, as we were shown the stove, inquired about the price & paid for it. How can an error on the order form possibly be our fault? The manager THEN tells us that the stove we want is approximately $700 more expensive & wanted us to pay the difference. We told him the error was not on our part & that we wanted the stove that we agreed on & paid for. I am appalled that a company as large as Bad Boy would have such horrible customer service. I am appalled that a company as large & well known as Bad Boy would not admit (100%) to their mistake & not honour the appliance. We understand mistakes happen. They happen to all of us. But to not honour what you promised the Client is unacceptable. This issue has yet to be resolved. The manager told us he would contact head office (after telling us his neck was on the line for such an expensive mistake) and that he would get back to us in 2 days. 2 days later, by 3pm, we didn't receive a call, so I called the manager. Manager told me that before they can deliver the correct stove, they need to work things out internally regarding who is going to pay the difference. He then went on to say that the difference (about $700) will likely come out of his pocket because we refused to help him out. He started giving me a hard time so I asked him for the number for head office. He gave me the number, and then told me we would receive our stove by end of next week. Because I wanted this on record, I called head office. After being transferred 3 times and being on hold for 19.5 minutes, I was told that there wasn't much they could do and that we need to deal with the store manager. After a lot of talking and being put on hold again, head office came back on the phone and said they spoke to the manager and that he is dealing with this. 2 minutes later, I receive a phone call from the store manager, asking why I called head office. I told him it was my right and that I wanted to ensure that we will be receiving the product we paid for. He started yelling and told me "if you want your stove, you better be nice to me or I'll refuse to help you." I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am right now. I am now on hold with head office again (it's been 12.45 minutes), putting in a complaint about the manager. I have NEVER dealt with a company who threatens their Customers.

Bad boy credit card

last year we made a purchase at Bad Boy at Kennedy Rd Scarborough, the sales person talked us into opening a credit card. He never advised us that there would be an annual fee of $21 dollars. Bill was paid off 2 months after the purchase. a year later I received a bill for $21. Bad Boy credit card company who is TD said it the annual fee, they refuse to reverse the charge. I called bad boy, they said nothing they can do. I told them their sales person never advised us of the annual fee. No other department store I know do this to their customer. I am never shopping at bad boy again. The people I spoke at TD, did not care. I will never open an account with TD or knowingly do business with them. $21 annual fee for a store card? that is taking advantage of people. TD and Bad Boy should be charged for using their power to rob unsuspecting customer.
