Appliance Repair

Purchased Samsung Appliances from Bad Boy. Also purchased their 5 year Gold Star warranty. Samsung range broke 1 week before Samsung warranty expired. Two weeks later Samsung serviced.

Refrigerator broke 4 days after one year manufacturer's warranty expired. Called Samsung. They laughed at me and said go find a service shop. Called Bad Boy on Wednesday. Was told they would get service company to call me within 48 hours. I called Bad Boy back on Friday, waited 1 hour on hold. Gave up. I called the service company Bad Boy said they would refer my repair to. The service company was very cooperative and told me that they had told Bad Boy on Wednesday that they could not do the service in a timely fashion and that Bad Boy should refer to another shop, Bad Boy has still to call me back. I booked a service call with the original service company who at last seemed to be awake and wanted to be helpful.

In the end my Fridge broke on Monday 23 June. I wasted 24 June trying to get Samsung to extend their 365 day warranty to 369 days to cover me. Wednesday June 25 I called Bad Boy to use their extended warranty. No appointment was booked and no communication received from bad Boy. Hold times over 1 hour when calling service. Eventually made an appointment directly with the service company that Bad Boy was referring my service on 27 June for July 7th.

Two full weeks without a fridge over the long weekend. I have no idea how this will work out financially, but timing wise it is terrible. Totally unacceptable.

Dryer

On June 12th I went in to purchase a dryer from the Barrie location. I dealt with two different employees as they apparently only had two on staff. Not once during paper work was anything mentioned to me about anything being a final sale. I was even in a couple nights before hand asking questions about a Whirlpool dryer. I was told I could get a much better deal if I came in a few days later as they where having a sale. I signed all paper work and had to pay in full even though the product wasn't on hand. I went home and got doing numbers and realized that I wasn't getting any sort of deal and that $944.00 for a dryer ON SALE was ridiculous and less then 24 hours later I called to cancel the order. My payment wasn't suppose to go thru till the Friday so I figured they could just rip up my paper work. I got quite the awakening when I was told by no possible way would I be able to cancel my order which wasn't to arrive at the store till the following week (currently still don't have). I have been in to speak with manager who said they would take it to the head office to see if they would cancel it. They returned my call telling me no they won't return my money and that the best they would do is offer me $50 off my price. I told them it was unacceptable as I don't even have the product and that it doesn't help anything by taking $50 off. I will NEVER purchase anything every again at this store. I'm disgusted with the fact that you are buying brand name products, high end products, expensive products at this store and they neglect the fact to tell you when you purchase that all sales are final. They should be MADE to point this very important fact out to you before you sign the dotted lines. Not impressed what so ever!!!!

Damaged Furniture

I purchased a 3 piece reclining furniture set from the Barrie location April 2014. I spent roughly $3000.00, they delivered the furniture a couple days later. When it was unpacked and being set up, I notice some stitching coming out of the chair and a hole in the back of the couch. I noted these things on the delivery slip and called customer service. Lady at CS Rosemary, was pleasant and was going to send a technician to look at furniture, I then told her that I didn't want my brand new furniture fixed. And while waiting to speak to her again the one recliner on the sofa broke.She then said that I could have a replacement set. I said that's great. I had to wait for stock to come in. When the new furniture came in we set up a time for delivery, when delivered I am checking everything over, well that didn't take long because the first piece they brought in was damaged even more than the first set. I sent it back with the delivery guy. Keep in mind I still have the first damaged set. I tell them to take it too, but they won't. I call CS for over a week leaving messages after messages. I go back into the Barrie store and the store manager tells me to reselect a different set. There is only one other set I wouldn't mind, its a sectional but its chaise is on the wrong side. Long story short the sectional was on sale for 998.00 but the manager told me I couldn't get the sale price because I needed to change the side of the chaise. Price went from 998.00 to 1598.00 because it would be a custom order. I call another Bad Boy store the next day and get a totally different price. They were going to charge me a $100.00 more. I then called customer service and told them I want my money back. She said NO. I asked her to schedule someone to come and pick up their damaged junk. They came and got it. So now I am out a couch and out $3000.00. So I then start calling CS again, asking for her boss, she told me to speak with Rob, I called Rob and he told me he wasn't authorized to give me a refund. So I asked him who was , he said Tony. I call this Tony. He says he will look into it, that it sounded like a manufacturers defeat. Of course he doesn't call me back, so I call him back. He then says he was speaking with Barrie manager and there is no way he is going to give me a refund. I tell him I do not want to do any more business with this company that I just want my money back, he started screaming at me, telling me that he will give me the best deal, I can hardly understand him as he is still screaming at me, keep in mind I didn't yell or even raise my voice this man is just trying to intimidate me, I just hung up. I have not heard from anyone since. I am still out a couch set and $3000.00 and I do not want to be forced into buying something from such a horrible company.

MATTRESS

I purchased a jackman bassett kingsize mattress and got it delivered on 13 June 2014 I slept over it for 2 night of 13th and 14th had problems with my back so called badboys on 16th morning.. the executive was rude and said we cant pick up the mattress as I dont have warranty.. Now the sales person who gave me the mattress gave me 5 years anti spill warranty but not sleeptrust warranty where I could return the mattress. The problem is instore you could sleep down for 5 mins and it is difficult to understand where that is firm enough for your back or not. They say its the final sale and cant be done anything. I offered them as I want to buy a firm matteress, I am fine with paying the delivery charges and the difference between the new and this mattress if any. I also ordered sofa from them for which I have taken extended warranty for 5 years. When I called their service delivery department I felt I committed a horrified crime by asking them to exchange the mattress with difference paid by me. I feel helpless please advise thanks

Service

I purchased the extended warranty for my kitchen appliances. last month I needed service for my fridge. Called them, the technician came and told us he has to order a part that will arrive in 2-3 days. that was on May 13th. Now it is June 16th and they still play around with us. we keep calling and every time they say something different. once the part is here and waiting for a technician to arrive, next time there is no record of service, another time, part has not arrived, another time, we call you back. I am really thinking of a legal action since a warranty is a contract and they are not fulfilling their part the contract. I wish I never did business with them. I strongly discourage people from going to their store or buy their joke extended warranty.

purchased extdnded warranty

Bought extended warranty on appliances. Had repair man out three times! Not ownership from them on a crappie appliances. All they do is pass the buck! Complete waste of money. Very frustrating!

Furniture

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO SHOP. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DONT EVEN STEP INTO THIS PLACE. I have been battling with them since Dec 2013 and the problem is yet to be resolved. Tomorrow tomorrow is what I get. They do not reply to your voice mail nor do they call you back when leaving a message. My Mom is in the hospital as I write this do to a chair breaking when she sat down, which got replaced today may 27 2014. We bought 2 lazy boy chairs in black 1 came ripped they replaced it with one brown. They denied it. The kitchen table every time you set something on there it left marks from plate or cup. I was told not to set a hot plate or hot cup on there, what a joke, where do you put it then? That table got replaced with another one which came to us with 2 huge scratches on the legs of the table. A man came out to look at it and said I will be back to change the two legs this was April 23, 2014. I have yet to see this. I spoke to Mike manager at Lastmans Bad boy in London Ontario, he admitted that someone was there to see it! Mike said it takes time to look at the work order.....this is over a month! Haha! So today they went to an old address of ours and called me up to tell me know one is home. Another joke! They said they had delivered the furniture there before, yet another joke. They NEVER EVER delivered the furniture to our old address, we did not go shopping till after we moved in our new place. CONSUMERS PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS NO B/S. DO NOT SHOP AT LASTMANS BAD BOY ANYWHERE NOT JUST LONDON! Go to Leon's where you get EXCELLENT SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND! I guess now I have to find a lawyer for my Moms situation! kitchen/ dining table

Purchased new furniture for aging parents who are unable to get out and shop. Had technician come out and say table is defective and will be replaced. Several calls were ignored by store. Had to drive to London from Toronto personally to try to get situation resolved. Were forced to purchase a much pricier table because original was no longer available and would not get a markdown after months of trying to get situation resolved. Replacement table also was scratched and one of its chairs has broken in the first week causing my aging parent an injury. Now technician came again and said it would be replaced but store is ignoring us AGAIN. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BAD BOY TO MY WORST ENEMY!! SHAMEFUL!!

Appliance

I bought a set of washer/dryer at Badboy furniture in Mississauga and very disappointed with their dishonest and customer service. Store manager was extremely rude, I decide to return the purchase and they refuse to take the return without any reason and als othere is nothing indicated i nthe receipt that it's final sale. Also the applicances that I bought is not a clearance or sale item.

Furniture

Very Bad Experience with Bad Boy.
Bought a furniture from them on Saturday May 3rd, 2014 for delivery on Thursday after 6pm as promised by the sale person named Anthony.
Then on Monday when I called to confirm the delivery and then found out that they don't deliver on my area as promised at the time of sale. Sales person made a mistake.
They even didn't bother me to call and tell me. I called and found out.
They deliver only Wednesday in the North York area.
I told them I am paying $55 for delivery charge and not to be deliver on their time.
After some dispute with sales person and a manager name Ram I wanted to cancel the order but they don't cancel.
According to RAM, whether I take it or not sale is final and they can't do anything about it.
This is worst customer service I have ever faced.
I will never buy anything from then and I encourage others to find other better place where they respect you as a valued customer not one time hit and run with your money.
