Windows By Installer

From the initial contact through the end of the project, Alex from Windows by Installer was punctual, concise, and responsive. Their windows installers were quite simply perfectionists. They showed up with a team of 3 guys and worked throughout the day and swapped out 23 windows in two days. They ensured that every window operated smoothly and correctly, that each window was spotless (they had a guy cleaning each window with a razor blade!), and rehung all my window treatments as they were prior to install. We couldn't be happier with our window job. The experience was positive from the initial contact through project close. Alex and his people worked with us throughout the entire project, were very responsive and conscientious. Given our experience with Windows by Installer, we cannot recommend them highly enough and would use them again in a heartbeat.

This was my second time using WBI. First time we used them to replace a porch door with French doors. They did a great job on that project so we hired them to replace some windows. They responded very quickly to the request for a quote and quite frankly were the only ones to actually respond out of many quote requests. Pricing seemed inline with everything that I found online. The fact that we had worked with them before made it an easy decision to use them for the work. Alex gave me an estimate on when the windows would be ready and called me once they were ready. The install took 1/2 day as they sent 4 guys to complete the job. Was very happy that they could complete the job that quickly. New windows are a big improvement over the replacement. Would not hesitate to use WBI again in the future.

Ken was fabulous, he was prompt, right after I contacted the company for a quote, realistic and did not try to oversell me. He also suggested a very nice style to add some oomph to my very plain mid town Toronto home. I had a bay window and two floor to ceiling bedroom windows that were in dire need of replacement. Zhan and Slava were the installers, delightful, worked hard and were extremely neat. I'm thrilled with the results, and will be calling them again to replace another six windows this spring. I did call Windows by Installer for the remaining windows in June and they did a superlative job--again. Trusted, reliable, clean and professional. We were impressed with the professional manner of all the Windows by Installer people with whom we interacted from the salesman to the owner to the installers. We met the owner because, after the contract is signed, he comes out to personally take all the measurements. He even went out on the roof to make sure he had the precise measurements on our largest window which is in the upstairs master bedroom and has a half round window over the 2 double-hung windows.
We initially chose Windows by Installer because they use their own employees (not sub-contractors) to do the installation. Also, and very important to us, they were willing to take down and re-hang the decorative shades over the windows. This was particularly important with our large window that has a half-round window above it. There is no way we could have re-hung the fan style shade on the half round. The other company which gave us an estimate was not willing to do that - which would have meant additional expense for us to have a shade company come and re-hang the shades.
We were very pleased with the final installation and before it was complete, the salesman came by to make sure that everything was going according to our expectations.
We would definitely recommend Windows by Installer to our friends and would use them again in we replaced any of our other windows.

This was the first time I'd hired anyone to work on our windows. I was expecting a horrible experience, but this entire experience was wonderful.
We got quotes from three other companies and although Windows by Installer warned us taht their quality might mean a slightly higher price, they actually were quite competitively priced.
Alex, the estimator, was the first person we interacted with. He was was friendly and seemed honest. He even armed me with some great questions to ask the subsequent quote providers.
We then worked with Anton, the owner, who happened to take our final measurements. He suggested some last minute tweaks that he thought would match more closely with the architecture of our house. In the end - he was totally right.
And finally we dealt with the install crew. They showed up on time, worked diligently, kept everything clean and went out of their way to make everything perfect. Our house posed some carpentry challenges and they exceeded my expectations.
I would recommend this company without reservation to anyone.

The experience with Windows by Installer went very smoothly from the very beginning. Alex promptly returned my call and scheduled a visit within a couple of days. He did his presentation which was not long but very informative. He answered our questions and we decided to go ahead with the project. Within a few days his representative came and measured our windows and made a few suggestions for some changes which we decided to do. The windows were to come in about three weeks but actually came much sooner. The lady from the office was very pleasant and helpful in scheduling the install. The two fellows who did the install came on time and were very efficient and meticulous about getting the windows and doors properly set. They took time to answer our questions and even helped us to but our blinds back up when they were done. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. We found a small flaw in one of the windows and they immediately order a replacement window. Wbi called the next day to verify which window to replace. Alex called to make sure everything was perfect and when we told him about the replacement window to be done he said he would not come out for payment until we were satisfied. He then called a few days later to make sure we had not found anything else and we told him to come and get paid. When he was here we mentioned we found a very tiny spot in one of our picture windows that we could not clean off. It was a pink colour. He looked at it and said it was in the glaze and he would have it replaced. We were quite surprised they would replace a window for such a very tiny flaw but he said these are our new windows and they should be perfect. Wbi called the next day and said the window had been ordered. We are very happy with the way our windows look and have noticed right off that the sounds from outside have diminished. Windows by installer, Alex and all the people we dealt with were great to work with.

Sandra, the office person was extremely pleasant and answered all my questions. Alex ( the boss, I guess) also called me and my mom to make sure we both understood what she was getting. The crew arrived when Sandra said they would and were extremely pleasant and easy to work with. The job took only a couple of hours and the guys left the place neat and clean and hauled away the debris. Alex called Mom and me back a few days later to make sure that we were satisfied. The quality of the windows looks good and my 78 year old mother is very pleased with the job and the windows! We would definitely recommend Windows by Installer to others!

I contacted WBI for an estimate on replacing 4 big windows in my sun room, as well as the door to the room from the outside. The room was very hot in the summer and freezing in the winter and old window frames basically rotting away. Alex was present for an in home estimate within 48 hours. He sat with my wife and I and took his time giving all the options without trying to up-sell. We decided to go with WBI and since we made that decision, Alex and his staff were in constant contact via phone and email, answering all our questions. After the initial agreement, we decided to add a front door, which we were able to arrange over email, going very smoothly.
3 weeks after the contractors came to measure the house, they were back and ready to install. They were prompt, professional, cleaned up everything and their work is outstanding. With the new windows and door in the sun room, the temperature is the same as it is in the entire house, basically, problem solved and much more aesthetically pleasing. The front door increased the curb appeal of our home tremendously. I would not hesitate to contact WBI for any future work, and have already recommended them to friends who need similar work done.
