What was suppose to be a straightforward job to reline the drain at my place, well, it has now been 8 weeks. Because their machinery broke down on them, they had to dig a huge hole on my front lawn. Fifteen feet deep and 10 feet by 10 feet wide. Sorry folks, I'm not able to attach a picture of the hole here, or else I definitely would have. It has been like that for 8 weeks. We were basically told that they needed to find a contractor that would be available to dig the rest of my lawn all the way to the road, but that nobody was available. UNTRUTH NUMBER 1. Only to find out that a contractor who came to price out the job told my wife that he would have been available to do it 4 weeks ago. Why didn't they get him to do it? Good question! The reason was because he was a lot more expensive that the other guys. So basically we need to suck it up, and live with this huge hole on our front lawn that has only an orange plastic fence that can easily fall over. Not safe at all!! Did I mention the horrendous smell that is coming from the hole because the drain is exposed. This is truly disgusting and embarrassing for our neighbors. I wonder what Mike Holmes would think of this situation? They said they would call us every week to check on us. UNTRUTH NUMBER 2. For the past 2 weeks nobody has called, we have to call and complain and fight. They told us that some other contractor was coming 2 weeks ago to come and dig, and guess what? UNTRUTH NUMBER 3. Are you getting to know the type of people we are dealing with. Rob, who is one of the owner, does not have the common courtesy to call me and talk to me. In his coward way, he gets his foreman or office people to do it, or decides he's going to send a letter by email. Rob does not understand the concept of, "The customer is always right". I've been in the service industry for about 25 years and I would never ever even think about treating my customers like that. So please, save yourself a lot of headache and call the next plumber on the list. Btw- They are right about one thing, like in their company logo, they really do stink as a company.
