Had Reliance come out to quote and install an AC unit.
The install was fantastic, Zack was a champ and did a really awesome job!
I wish I could have had a glowing review for the salesman Matt however. I was not at home when he came by, and he spoke with my wife about our requirements for an AC unit. He proceeded to scare my wife into thinking out 15 year old furnace would die any day now, and it was vital that we change that unit out, lest us and our young children be left in the cold this winter. Not to mention that if we sold the house, the new owners would demand it be changed out anyway prior to the sale because it's too old. I came home to an upset wife, thinking we had to spent $6000 more than we wanted to because we "had" to replace the furnace right now.
Thankfully I was able to calm things down, and when Matt came the next day to sign paperwork, I was able to inform him that we only wanted AC, and that the furnace was fine.
Matt also filled in some $$$ related parts of the contact paper work only after he had asked us to sign, and was visibly upset when I confronted him on that fact, saying its bad form and underhanded to to something like that after the contract is already signed.
As a side note on the furnace, I've had an independent HVAC technician out to look at it, and agrees with me that there are many many years of life left in it!
Long story short: Happy with the product, very very very happy with the install and installer, very unhappy with the greasy sales guy and his scare tactics. Reliance seems like a good company, just watch your sales guy like a hawk, and don't worry about the install, that will go smooth!
