Refrigerator Warranty Repair

This company as assigned to me on behalf of LG to do warranty work on my LG refrigerator (which I found out later was an effectively a recall). Prior to the technician arriving my refrigerator work fine except for a light issue that would not turn-off once the doors where closed. The technician arrived to replace 2 parts (motherboard & temperature light console) and about 4 hours later the refrigerator stop working. He returned 2 days later to install an replacement board and brought back the original board to see if there as any issues with the refrigerator. When he installed the original board the refrigerator worked fine, but when he installed the second board, the unit displayed a Freezer Fan error. He indicate that it would cost over a $100 to replace the freezer fan, so I contacted LG to cover it under the warranty, as I believed it was another board issue. He arrived Wednesday the following week and installed a new Freezer Fan, but the unit still displayed the Freezer Fan error. He said that the issue was related to a wiring harness and the refrigerator could not be repaired (remember that the original board worked with-out any problems), so now I’m without a refrigerator and LG Canada does give a crap about replacing it or reimbursing me anything for this technician breaking my refrigerator. So if you have a LG refrigerator and this company doing warranty work, be prepared to buy a new refrigerator at your expense because LG or Tras will not take responsibility for breaking it!

WE HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING INCORRECTLY. YOU HAVE A RECALL PROBLEM HOSTED BY THE MANUFACTURER, ALL WE DID WAS FOLLOW THEIR WARRANTY REPAIR PROCEDURE. YOU ARE INCORRECT IN ALL OF YOUR WRITE UP. TOTALLY BIAS BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT WANT TO HELP YOU. YOUR WRITE UP IS UNFAIR AND MALICIOUSLY CALCULATED.

Dishwasher Repair

Company sent out a repair tech who had no idea how to repair the machine. Tech had to ask me how to turn the machine on. Tech told me I need to replace motor, water inlet and wash motor. He advised I would be better off getting a new dishwasher. I wrote the company to let them know the performance of their tech. I received an unprofessional e-mail from Gary back blaming me for everything. I contacted the manufacturer they sent someone else. He was in and out in 20 min and I had my dishwasher working again without the need to replace any components.

As with the two reviews from Ajax I'm sure Tras will respond saying everything is my fault. Steer clear of these guys.

THIS CUSTOMER FORGOT TO MENTION HE HAD THIS MACHINE APART AND TRIED TO REPAIR IT HIMSELF. ITS DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM ACCURATELY WHEN SOMEONE ELSE OR SERVICE COMPANY HAS ATTEMPTED REPAIRS PREVIOUSLY. THEY MAY HAVE CAUSE UNSEEN DAMAGES. ITS WAS MUCH EASIER FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO FIND THE ISSUE AND SOLVE IT BECAUSE TRAS HAS ALREADY DONE MOST OF THE DIAGNOSIS AND SPENT THEIR OWN MONEY OVER $200.00 + LABOUR ( 2 SERVICE VISIT) ON SUSPECTED PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED AND NOT RETURNABLE THAT WE DID NOT CHARGE THIS CUSTOMER FOR. IT'S ODD THAT THIS CUSTOMER DID NOT REQUEST THEIR DIAGNOSIS FEE AND SERVICE CALL RETURNED, IF THEY DID WE WOULD HAVE ASK THEM TO SUPPLY THE INVOICE FROM THE OTHER COMPANY AND REVIEWED IT WITH THAT COMPANY. THE ONLY CONCLUSION I CAN ARRIVE AT IS THIS CONSUMER IS NOT TELLING THE COMPLETE TRUTH. WE HAVE ALSO INVESTED TIME AND MONEY ITO REPAIR HIS PRODUCT, OUR INTENT WAS GOOD.. HE FAILED TO SEE THE POSITIVE SIDE OF OUR INTENT. .

LG Washer Repair

Not sure what happened with the two other customers but my experience was excellent. The person who answered the phone was quite cordial and helpful. The technician was waiting at the house before I even got home. I was worried that it would be an exhaustive and expensive repair where the whole drum and parts would have to be removed but luckily the technician found the issue ( a clothing item was stuck under the drum) and removed it without having to take the whole thing apart. He saved us a bunch of $$$.

Washer "Repair"

The lack of customer service from Tras Appliance Solutions was astounding. We contacted them to repair our LG washer because LG parts can only be provided by LG authorized repair providers. They cam 3 times and never actually fixed anything and still charged us for the fix. The last time, a technician showed up, said he didn't have the right part before he even knocked on the door, said he was going to come back with the right part, and never returned. When called to ask if he was returning to FINALLY repair the washer, he said he had to order the part - the part he said he had ordered a week before (and really, why show up in the first place??) Complete incompetence. Zero customer service. When we called the company to complain, we were told that we were wrong. Avoid at all costs. Better yet, avoid buying LG appliances so you don't get caught in the same trap!

This customer failed to tell the truth and they are very unreasonable in their review, they refused to have us complete the repairs because the wrong part was provided by the dealer due to a model and serial parts library engineering change. This is not uncommon in the appliance industry and other industries. We advise them we need to get the correct part and return. They became abusive and angry and cancelled the appointment. They were only charged a service call and a diagnostic charge, They were never charged any labour or fix it charges. They bought a refurbish product from some unknown dealer, the product was imperfect from the get go. They had numerous other services who damage the product even more before TRAS APPLIANCE SHOWED UP, They made the product practically unrepairable . We advise them from the get go, its a refurbish product not new. Our technician and company abided by all their time restriction and always showed up on time. They wanted us to call the husband 1 hour before so he can leave work to meet technician at the residence. some times we would call and the husband will not answer and we have to keep trying over and over again. Twice our tech showed and waited over 1 hour in the driveway before the customer showed up we had no issues with this behavior but it affects our technician schedule for the day and other customer who are also waiting. The first visit was to asses the product, The 2nd visit was to first fix one of the issues and then test the machine again . The 3rd time we did show up but no one was home and our tech called to let them know he showed up and had the part but it was incorrect and still wanted to accurately check the part on the product. CONCLUSION:: This customer twisted the story incorrectly to benefit their position because we refused to refund their diagnostic and service call charge . We spent over 5 Hours on this refurbish product and should have charged the customer much more but was reasonable enough not to to do so. They were totally unreasonable in their review.

Appliance Repair

Do not use this appliance repair company! They were recommended to use for warranty work on our Electrolux Washer / Dryer by the store we purchased the appliances at. The store arranged the appointment and Tras Appliances called to confirm. I also asked, above the warranty work if Tras could reverse the washer / dryer doors and I would pay for that service. They agreed for a cost of $130.00 plus HST, they would & I was assured the technician knew how to do this. He didn't. He turned the doors upside down and left. The next day he returned to fix them, broke my washing machine control panel and broke the closing mechanism on the dryer. It took 2 weeks, only after contacting Electrolux directly and opening a customer complaint claim and numerous discussions with the owner of Tras to get the appliances fixed. At which time, our window for repair was on a Saturday from 2 - 6 p.m. At 5:40 p.m. the tech had still not arrived. We called the owner and a tech was finally dispatched at 6:40 p.m. and didn't leave our home until 8:30 p.m. We do want to thank Colin as he did a great job finally fixing the appliances and took time out of his Saturday night to do this. I'm not sure why the scheduled tech did not show as promised. This incident unfortunately is still not closed as we discovered from Electrolux that the owner misrepresented the situation and wrote in his report that we, as the customer damaged our appliances and they were only in to repair. This company is extremely unreliable and the owner is difficult to deal with. Please be aware as the owner calls himself either Gary or Charles depending on whom he is speaking with. I will never use this appliance company!!!!! Our complaint is still on going with Electrolux as this company is a recommended dealer for them and shouldn't be.

This customer is not factual and seem to be missing bits and pieces of the issue, they were quite unreasonable in their review. They attempted to reverse the doors themselves.
The technician that was there has over 20 years of industry experience and when he reversed the doors he identified other broken or defective parts on the product which needed to be changed due to user usage over the period of ownership. He advised these parts needed to be ordered and upon return the repairs would be successfully completed so the doors were assembled so the customer could use as previously until he returned. They thought customer usage meant "they broke the part"" However the customer got really hasty and impatient and refused to have the technician back. She demand a Saturday premium service which we agreed to at no extra charge, again they became impatient waiting for the technician to arrive . The technician was running 1 hour behind time due to the length of time spent on previous jobs of which there is no control over, usually no times are given for Saturdays because its already an exception booking when customer find it hard to be home during the week.. Technician did call and advise he is running late but they became aggravated and suspicious for no reason at all. The call was dispatched and all parts were given to the technician prior to Saturday. This is where the customer has no sense of how the industry work. It would be impossible to have the service call dispatched at 5:45 PM when the customer called for a customer update , have all the parts delivered to a tech within 15 minutes. So this customer ran away with the notion that the service call was not even set up for Saturday, they were incorrect. The technician showed up and completed the repairs on Saturday. The parts that were broken or defective are from usage of the product and all it took was for the technician to start disassembling the doors to find out more.
Conclusion::: This customer intent was to get the manufacturer to give them new products and at the same time not pay for the reversal of the doors. Tras Appliance has always been ready and willing to adapt to their demands but their demand reached an extreme point that we had to start saying enough is enough and we did reduce the price of the reversal by 50%, which they failed to mentioned.

Microwave repair

I worked with Tras to get a microwave door replaced. From the first call to when the work was completed, dealing with Kevin and the technician was an absolute pleasure. I will definitely call them if I need help on anything else. Thanks guys!
