THIS CUSTOMER IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH. THEY ONLY PAID US $266.18 (parts, labour, service call taxes included)). 6 MONTHS AGO WE SERVICE THEIR WASHER FOR A DIFFERENT PROBLEM. CX CALLED 6 MONTH LATER FOR A NEW // DIFFERENT PROBLEM AND AS PER OUR GUARANTEE , A NEW SERVICE CALL ((VISIT)) IS APPLICABLE. THIS CUSTOMER DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR A NEW SERVICE AND WAS VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO OUR REPRESENTATIVE. Home Star is now being used to vent this wrongful frustration, it is now used to slander a good company's name. This is very untruthful posting from someone who did not leave their name (we knew who it is)) and feels that all service should be free.

Appliance Repair Technicians do not clean the house duct work that the dryer vents through. They are only there to repair of diagnose the problem related to the dryer. The vent blockage on the outside of the house is not theirs or our responsibility. You should have given him some credit for trying or attempting to remove the glued on exterior vent/grill. He felt that removing it at that time could have caused damages to the vent cover and therefore would have been responsible. Your review is unfair because our technician did not charge you any labor charges. He just charged the service call and diagnostics which is fair and its is the industry standard. Also furnace installers are equipped with all the heavy tools to install furnaces and the ductwork, this is what they do everyday, It was an easy task for them to remove the outside vent and clean the blocked ductwork//exit. We are also baffled at why an AC/FURNACE REAPAIR SERVICE WAS CALLED TO CLEAN THE BLOCKED VENTING ON THE OUTSIDE. Obviously you are hiding the truth. You probably called to have the furnace checked and requested that the vent for the dryer to be unclogged. No one charges a $140.00 to remove an outside dryer vent just to unclogged it. Based on this assumption, I am calling this review very bias and inconsiderate.
