When I arrived, Mike was already at the house starting the outdoor inspection. During the next three hours, he did a thorough examination of the outside and inside of the house and answered my questions as we went along. The inspection in the basement was very thorough and he pointed out and discovered issues that I would not have noticed until after purchase. Based on the information he provided on the house condition, changes required, and timeline, I was able to sign the purchase agreement with more confidence. Thank you, Mike!

On Friday July 18, 2014 I entered into a written Agreement to purchase a residential property in Guelph. The Agreement contained a standard Home Inspection provision. I had no difficulty contacting Mike Heeley by phone and arranged an appointment for a Home Inspection. The inspection was carried out as scheduled.

Later that same day a comprehensive, detailed 41 page Home Inspection Report was received by e-mail at 6:51 p.m. at my summer home.

On both inspection day's, Mike was at least 30min early and was well under-way with the exterior portions of the inspection.
Upon my arrival, Mike had met with me and gone over the exterior findings, complete with knowledge, ideas, and proactive measures on what he had noted. This great service was continuous throughout the whole 3 hour home inspection. The final inspection report was available for review within 24 hours of the inspection being completed. The report is very comprehensive, yet easy to digest for all elements noted top to bottom of the inspection property.
Being in the construction background myself, it was great to see an individual who takes such pride in his work, and provides such great customer service. I would not hesitate in requesting Mike's services for a Third time!, and I trust all reviews noted on this website would feel the same way. This was a very high quality inspection from a very knowledgeable and professional inspector. Great use of technology in preparing the inspection report and inspecting the property. This was an older property and Mike's report provided a very comprehensive overview of the items that should be addressed, and in what time frame they should be addressed. Older homes can have a different risk/reward profile for a home buyer, and I was very comfortable with the informed, practical and realistic insight that Mike provided me.....and the added bonus is that Mike Heeley is the owner and he does the inspection work himself.

We hired Mike Heeley after reading reviews on HomeStars. We would definitely recommend him or hire him again. We had arranged to meet at 4pm when we arrived at the house, Mike was already there and had completed the inspection of the roof, taken a few minutes to speak with the current homeowners and was ready for us to join in on the rest of the inspection. We were very happy with his knowledge and helpful tips. He saw things that we would never even noticed or even thought would be relevant. The full report was provided within 24 hours, was very detailed including pictures he had taken during the inspection and it provided us some indication as to how urgent things need to be fixed or repaired. There were no surprises in the report as he was very upfront and explained everything as you are going through the house.

We used Heeley Inspection services to ensure we got a good value for our house. Mike showed up to the house at the exact communicated time and was extremely thorough. During the process, Mike explained everything as we were going through all of the areas of the house, room by room. He tested everything from plugs to drains to vent throughput. He helped us identify all of the work required once we move into the house as well as the priorities for the items that need to be fixed. We also used the infrared scanning service which gave us peace of mind that we have good insulation throughout the house, especially the basement.
