Bought a Kenitco water softener to replace my old softener that was damaged in the recent flood. I told them I was a flood victim and the generously told me I would get 10% off and for $30 they would haul away my old water softener.

What I found strange was that they forcefully demanded full payment before install. I just got a furnace and hot water installed which cost 10 times as much and never was asked for payment until the work was done. Very strange.

The installer was a really nice guy, explained everything. I asked him when someone would take away my old softener and he said someone would call me soon.

I waited 2 weeks and no call back. Then when I called I got the answer "oh, we changed our mind and don't want to pick up your old softener anymore"

What kind of company charges you up front and just decides they don't want to do the work they committed to after the sale?

I should have listened to these reviews, this company treats their customers poorly post-sale. I even tried to call their Service Manager, Art several times but he ducked my calls in a hope I would go away.

Way to go Trail, jerk around a flood victim. Very disappointing!

I will not purchase from them in the future based on the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I received. From the moment my range was delivered missing english instructions to discovering that the sales person forgot to mention that we would need a 120V plugin and an adequate circuit breaker, to the issue over knobs that I paid for upfront, and was told they would be only two weeks, to eventually discover they couldn't give me a delivery date for them and that it could be months. I expressed my grievances about this through several phone calls and a call to a manager and was told there was nothing they could do about it as it was an issue with the manufacture. Then three days later I get a phone call telling me my knobs are in...Strange ?, and that was fast.... I picked them up only to discover when I got home that they looked like they may have been pulled off a floor model as each one was scratched and marked. I immediately called Trail to inform them that I would be returning them as they were not in new condition and that at this point I was now going to demand a full refund and not bother with these knobs.
I went in and made the return and was told that this would show up within three business days. After 12 days I called my financing to see if the return had been processed and it had not. I asked them to look into the matter and they attempted to find out on my behalf why this had not yet been processed. I called Trail myself to find out and was initially given the run around...."the person who does the returns is away", "the flood in Calgary has caused issues"...really, thats interesting, considering I made the return long before "The Flood". I eventually felt I needed to talk to a manger as this was going no where. Now beware there are apparently four managers. I did speak with one of them and after explaining my entire story all over again to him, he indicated he would look into it for me and call me back. I did get a call later that afternoon from him telling me that he was able to get it taken care of and he did apologize stating that the issue had to do with the packaging label....okay! but not sure why that should have ever become my issue. I just felt that if I wasn't constantly chasing them down about this, that and the other thing they were happy to not hear from me and were certainly not taking care of my needs. It ended up being way to much of a hassle for me to want to ever do business with them again.

I called to request a technician to come out and change our filters for both our kinetico water softener and drinking water. I also inquired about a replacement part for the canister as it had a crack at the top. Kim Giraudier was more than helpful, set up the appointment, and explained it was under warranty. The technician Robert T. came in the 2 hour window given, was courteous and fixed everything. He also took the time to fix my faucet. Thank you for going above and beyond my expectations!

They have a such variety vacuum on the store that you can see and ask for details about each one, in that way I found the perfect vacuum for my house and a good price too.

We purchased a new Kitchenaide dishwasher from Trail after doing a lot of online research. The sale personnel, Ken, was very helpful in explaining the different features and the advantages, disadvantages of different brands. We have had to have in serviced once and Trail's service team is top notch. Very happy we chose to purchase through this company.

Wonderful customer service and excellent prices! I needed new appliances for new custom built home and went back to Trail Appliances where I always buy any of my homes major appliances. The delivery staff was wonderful and knowledgeable about setting up the appliances and I will definitely go back again for my future appliance needs!!!

We purchased a kinetico water softener system from Trail, and we had a wonderful sales staff that provided us with an informative lesson on water softness and its benefits. We had no difficulties with the installation that was organized by Trail, and we love how this has changed the water we use in our home.

Love Trail Appliances! We purchased our first homes appliances all from Trail and went back for our present house! The sales staff was wonderful, the prices are always great! And if we find a better price some place else they have always matched or beat prices but really don't need to since they have such good prices anyways. We bought in the past and will back for all future appliance purchases!

The appliances that were included in my new home were from Trail Appliances. The salesman was super friendly and very informative. Great quality for the price. Not too expensive. They were on time for delivery and very quick. Would highly recommend them.
