We hired Callaway Contracting Inc. for a Home Renovation project based on a cost + 20% deal. We were disappointed with our Reno experience as: a. Invoice charges violated industry acceptable rates and our agreed terms; b. Invoice backup not initially provided and then did not correlate to initial amounts; c. Multiple input, calculation errors and charges in excess to our agreed terms; d. Decisions made without approval which ultimately cost us more; e. Company Labor rates charged at cost +50% &/or + 60%, not agreed cost + 20%; f. Final Reno costs excessive and timing was almost double; g. Trust violated with charges above agreed deal; We will not be recommending Callaway. Quality of work was good overall because of the trades accessed BUT invoiced charges had too many errors, were excessive and in direct violation of industry standard and our agreed upon deal terms.

Our house Reno included all new windows and doors from Pella. Now that we are done, a lot of our windows have hot glue, streaks, finger prints and smudges on the inside of the triple pane windows. Pella has refused to clean the inside of the triple panes unless they are paid by someone (us or our contractor) For the huge expense we have paid for Pella for them to not clean the above which are a result of the window building & installation is unacceptable.

Steve Fowler was hired to wire our Reno project with telephone, Cat 5 & RG6 wiring & then install Home Theater in 2 rooms. He requested prepayment and then he did not properly complete our project. Unprofessional attitude & we are now left with additional expenses to hire another company to complete the project he was hired to do.

Curt of Trail Appliances was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful with our appliance purchases, with all details required for our Renovation as well as with delivery and installation. Highly recommend Curt for his personable approach as well as providing honest and helpful recommendations.

We recently did a full gut Reno. Vatzek Zietara from Academy Ceramic Tile did an awesome & very professional job installing tile on our floors and also building 2 custom tile showers. We highly recommend Vatzek based upon his work on our Reno.
