The Duct Cleaning Specialists

Let me start by saying that this company is very aptly named because specialists they indeed are! I called and was talking to Paul on Monday and he said he had a postponement work appointment for Tuesday so I jumped at the opportunity. Mat and Steve arrived within the specified time frame and from the moment they walked through the door any apprehension of strangers in my home disappeared. They were extremely personable and had great respect for our home. Steve explained what was involved as we walked down to the basement while Mat brought through the equipment. We had never had our ducts cleaned before so accumulated dust and debris from 1979 -- they had their work cut out for them! Steve showed me the accumulation in one of the return vents -- YIKES!
We have always had non-shedding dogs but that doesn't mean no dog hair anywhere plus my husband is a smoker. Steve indicated this involved a little extra to get the ducts clean but when the job was completed the house was left with the wonderful, refreshing aroma of thyme and lemon. How great is that! (Steve tried very hard to get our dog to come out and say hello to him but as our dog is a little strange that way, he wouldn't come out of his sleeper cage). Steve provided me with some tips to help keep the ducts as clean as possible. The work was finished within the specified time frame and Steve showed me through and explained what was done downstairs and also, the builder had not properly nailed one of the ducts and their was a gap in it so they nailed it to eliminate the gap. When leaving, they wanted to put all the drawers back into a piece of furniture they had to move out and back from a return vent -- now that is above and beyond expectations! I will recommend this company to all my neighbours, family and friends - they are fantastic.

Paul and Nick were just terrific to work with today. The problems were assessed, explained and solved quickly and effectively. In addition, the technicians went the extra mile to deal with the furnace and humidifier issues without charge. Will definately call this company again. The price was very reasonable and the work was done well.

Having just bought our house, and the previous owners having two large dogs, we wanted to get the ducts cleaned.Well worth it! The amount of dog hair was gross (Steve described one hair ball as the size of a raccoon), and he and Matt were both very professional and thorough. They recommended we have it done every 5-7 years (assuming no more giant dogs!), and gave us tips on how we may be able to reduce that even more. We appreciated that, as many other companies will recommend you do it every 2-3 years, which Steve said is purely cosmetic, and not really necessary. We wouldn't hesitate to use the Duct Cleaning Specialists again, and would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Steve and Matt just left my house smelling like Thyme and LEmon and with much cleaner air. From the moment I contacted the company and received a response in less than 2 hours from Paul, I knew I had selected the right company. Matt and Steve arrived right on time today and were finished in the time Paul estimated. They were both very professional, informative, and friendly with our animals. I've heard horror stories about duct cleaning and did my research before hiring this company and will not hesitate to hire them again when I do this again. Unlike some duct cleaning companies, I am certain this one will be around for a long time.

Customer Service Excellence!!! I read numerous reviews on HomeStars about the Duct Cleaning Specialists and decided to email to find out more details and request service. First off, Paul was extremely responsive in getting back to me, answering all of my questions and emailing me a reference of the quote. Paul also gave me a courtesy call on the day prior to my scheduled appointment to ensure that everything was still planned on their end.

Matt and Steve arrived punctually and instantly demonstrated a high degree of professionalism by showing me a binder of their company protocols and standards as well as reviewing the service that I had arranged with Paul. They took their time to explain what they were doing, the tools and instruments that they were using and also educated me on areas of potential concern that I should be mindful of based on their knowledge and expertise (potential fire code risks on older humidifier duct material).

Steve and Matt were thorough and in addition to leaving everything clean and tidy also went above and beyond in terms of taking the extra time to seal areas were air could be escaping and adding some extra tubing for my dryer vent.

The two major things that amazed me after the service was completed was how much lint had been in the dryer vent and how much more heat I was able to feel in different rooms of my house that typically were cooler. Having recently purchased our home (less than 5 months) getting The Duct Cleaning Specialists to come and provide service was invaluable in providing us with the peace of mind to know that things have been cleaned and disinfected.

Paul, Matt and Steve all embody class, integrity and operate with the highest commitment to going above and beyond to make sure that their customers are educated and happy. Very professional accommodating and thorough. The renovation had been very messy and dust had been raining down daily in my newly renovated home. After the duct guys had done their work it was as though the reno never happened. Courtesy follow up was much appreciated too; couldn't ask for a better service and would highly recommend.

Steve showed up right on time and was professional and very courteous. He showed me the dust that had accumulated inside the ductwork and I was only sorry I had waited so long to get the ducts cleaned. He was here for 3 hours, but never in my way.
