Red Robin Masonry

Hi, I had some bad water damage to my brick, mortar, and concrete Foundation due to 2 underlining issues:
1. The Eavesdrop drainage was never properly positioned by the original owners.
2. The sprinkler system installed by the previous owners was too close to the brickwork of the house.
The house is almost 40 years old, and as many other homeowners know - you always inherit the mistakes of previous owners, which was the case here.

Therefore as a homeowner, I did the proper thing and got quotes from 3 companies.

Red Robin definitely stood out to me when they sent back their quote:
a. they came in a timely manner.
b. the scope of the work quoted was exactly what I was looking for.
c. they got the quote back to me in less that 24h.
d. they told me that they could do the work within a 2 week period because they were booked solid before the end of the season (a good indication that they are in demand).
e. they guarantee their workmanship for 5 years etc...
f. they answered all my additional questions.
g. they always got back to me in a timely manner.
IN OTHER WORDS, I was a valued customer and they wanted my business.
ALSO, their quote was very reasonable. One quote came in at almost 2x the estimate that RR gave BTW.
The other co. I got a quote from wouldn't get back to me in a timely manner.

So I hired RR to do the work. About the job itself:
i. the work was done over a 3d period.
ii. the crews that RR sent worked solid - no slacking.
iii. they did a fine job matching my mortar. In fact, since it dried, it looks amazing.
iv. they did a fine job with the concrete repairs, essentially fixing a large crack in the foundation.
v. the parching work they did looks amazing.
To summarize, I am highly impressed with the work of this company, and would not hesitate to recommend them to my parents, in-laws, and friends.

ALSO - I have some more brickwork (Chimney) I will need done in the future. I will use RR for this as well because I know they are a reliable Company.

Even thought this work was done 3 years ago, When gusty winds tore off our rain cap, Red Robin honoured their warranty and retuned to make the repair. To do it, because of the narrow space between our house and our neighbour in Downtown Toronto, Red Robin had to obtain special scaffolding. This was a repair that could have been completed in less than half an hour if there was space to use a ladder, but there wasn't. I'm sure it must have been a total pain for them to organize unique scaffolding as well as their
team just to take care of this simple fix, but they took the time and care to honour their warranty. We very much appreciated that they did this. That showed professionalism at its best. I would recommend them most highly.

Working with Dave and Mike has always been a pleasure. They've done work for me on at least four occasions in the last six or seven years.

They've replaced approximately 100 bricks, poured a 12'x12' concrete pad, a concrete walkway and repaired my front porch pad.

When a part of the walkway (still under warranty) cracked last winter, the crew was there to replace it with no issues.

Red Robin will continue to be my 'go-to' masonry contractor!

Normally I do not write reviews but this company was really great. They were competitive in pricing but went well beyond to deliver a great job. They pointed out things that needed repair instead of just covering it up even if it meant delaying their schedule. By far one of the best companies I have delt with. Excellent customer service. Thanks to Dave and his crew. Truly an exceptional company.

We got a few quotes from different companies, but Red Robin Masonry had the best price by far! We were thrilled with their work. The guys were great! Friendly, tidy and professional. The pad is perfect! I have already recommended them to a few colleagues at work as well!

This company does everything right. First, their estimate guy came to my house and checked what work had to be done. He very patiently and thoroughly explained everything to me. He told me what work should be done, and what could wait. He even offered to come back to re-explain everything to my wife (who wasn't home). Then, their workers did a great job with the parging, tuckpointing, and brick replacement that needed to be done. They were friendly and professional, and kept the work site tidy throughout the job. I'd definitely recommend this company, and I would use them again for any masonry work that I needed.

John and the team provided an excellent recommendation to parge the lower bottom half of my home that was weakened by water damage. They also filled a number of holes around the house. Overall, the service and product was excellent. Would recommend to a friend!
