Reliable Home Comfort

Reliable Home Comfort replaced our furnace and AC earlier this year, which we were doing in order to get federal/provincial rebates after having an energy audit done.
Rob came out to go over the process with me, I found him very informative and helpful. We needed to get this project done in a timely fashion and he was able to organize it quickly. The installers were professional and did a thorough job, and cleaned up after themselves too.
Overall, we were very happy with the service we received from them, and are also happy that our high-efficiency furnace means much cheaper gas bills! They were also able to set in motion our rebates, which ended up being about half the cost, so all in all it was well worth it.
I would definitely recommend these guys!

An absolutely quality service .. no joke! Dave explained that they normally do not carry parts for my make and model of furnace, but was kind enough to take a look at no charge. They diagnosed the problem and thankfully had a spare part.
Throughout Dave explained what was going on and the methodology in diagnosing and the post checks required. The attention to detail is a rarity these days. Dave and partner James even quibbled over the pros and cons of checking the coil , again an eye-opener to see two professionals checking over each others decisions. If there was a Batman & Robin in this trade, these are the guys ... I'd let them decide whose who :-) . You cannot go wrong with good ole fashioned professional service ... 10/10

Although it took us a couple tries to get through, it was well worth it and we are very happy to have had Dave and Rob install our new funace and a/c. This is the second home we have had Reliable install a new furnace and a/c unit in for us. They are fast, well priced and do a great job. The yearly inspections are also great! Thanks guys!

My furnace stopped working the the middle of the night Thursday, so I called Reliable Home Comfort on Friday morning & Dave arrived with his son to look at it Friday evening. He said the circuit board was not working & would need to be replaced. Once that was replaced he would have to then see if the ignition would need to be replaced. The maximum cost if all things needed replacement was $600 including labour. He also answered my questions about replacing the furnace instead & gave me an idea of cost for that option. He said he could work on it that night or wait until Saturday. I chose to wait, because I wanted to discuss with family members who had more experience owning their homes & wanted to compare prices online. I called first thing Saturday morning (today). Dave got the part & came by early afternoon with Jamie, his York furnace specialist. They finished in under 1 hour & only the circuit board needed replacing, so it was well under the worst-case-scenario price. Their cost beat what other competitors were quoting & there was no cost for the initial visit, nor any additional fees for a weekend visit. I'll definitely go with Reliable Home Comfort again.

After doing extensive research on furnaces, A/C’s and installation companies I was incredibly pleased to have selected Reliable. From the initial meeting, Dave was fantastic. He took the time to answer all our questions, and discuss other products and options. Unlike some others I had dealt with, there was no pressure, only honest straight forward information. It was an easy choice to select Reliable for the job. On the day of the installation (October 30, 2011), Jaime and Rob were prompt, professional and friendly. They did a fantastic job installing the furnace and A/C. They took the time to answer any questions, and left the place spotless. They even went out of their way to fix some shoddy patch covered ductwork (from the builder). What a difference! Amazing service by true professionals, who take pride in what they do. I would highly recommend Reliable!

Technician I think Brian came by on a sunday morning! He was very pleasant and was very thorough and came up with great suggestions to balance the heat throughout the house. His honesty was very refreshing to see. This is the first time I had used them, and will definately continue to use them.

Dave is great. He is so knowledgable and honest. He truly wouldn't give you a recommendation unless he felt it was necessary.

Reliable installed our furnace 3 years ago and we're really happy with it. Our bills have gone down. Anyway, we were also eligible to get our furnance maintained by this company so we called them in. Not only did they come right away, Dave was able to figure out why our boy's room was not getting warm heat -- returns were blocked. Fixed it right away and was so pleasant.

My 15 year old furnace kept breaking down 2 years after it's installation. It was time to replace it, to avoid huge repair costs, even though I was disappointed it didn't last longer. The installers, Jaime and Rob did an excellent job and asked if I was satisfied before they left. I noticed a small leak in one of the water hose connections, just after they left, which I called about immediately. Even though Jaime was exhausted from a late night install the day before, he returned right away and corrected the problem! I'm amazed how Dave Chaddock (the owner) is always available and answers all your questions in a polite and friendly manner. I found this company on homestars and have had several dealings with them over a couple of years. Once you become a Reliable Home Comfort customer, they truly live up to their name!

after gaining estimates from 3 furnace companies, Dave was an easy choice. he was friendly, professional, clearly demonstrated his knowledge about every aspect of the business and installation, and was the only company to give logical explanations of a few "rules" that a few companies mentioned but couldn't explain. the guys turned up promptly and worked diligently until the new HE furnace and AC were installed. it required a new exhaust line and chimney liner installation which they did not charge us for. the new furnace is amazing and our bills have gone way down. we will call him again in future houses for sure!
