Replaced windows, patio doors, and window trims

We replaced 27 windows including 2 patio doors. In our initial research we got quotes from 3 other companies but decided to go with Long Life as they install Vinyltek windows and sliding doors which we preferred over the competition. Their pricing was very competitive while offering a bit of wiggle room. They were also extremely accommodating as they helped us install a competitors sliding patio door that we preferred due to functionality. Bernard and the two Sean's were friendly and personable. They invited me to go hunting and target shooting with them one day which was a nice gesture. I would highly recommend Long Life and their Vinyltek windows. The biggest difference we noticed was that our house is much much cooler in the summer. Also, one thing that sets them apart is that for every house they work on they will donate $50 of their earnings to charity on the customers behalf. All the best!

Windows

We had Long Life do our windows a number of years ago and they still look fantastic. The quote was competitive and they did not try and over sell us. The installation was quick and painless. The windows have helped to reduce noise pollution and heating costs and I would highly recommend them and did so to my sister who hired them as well.

Just to let you know, we were very pleased with the installation of the windows and patio door. Bernard and his crew did an excellent job with the installation and the workmanship was excellent. The whole experience from show room to the finished product was an absolutely seamless process for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending Long Life to other people who are in the market for windows and doors. We are quite pleased. Thank you

Replacement of Sliding Door and All Windows

At the meeting with Paul he informed my husband and I that we would be pleased with the crew he was sending us and he was certainly correct. The crew of Bernard, Shawn and Christain were curtious, helpful and conscientious about their work. They made sure that our house was kept clean when they entered it. Bernard, the crew boss, has a wonderful work ethic and this shows in the other two men. They were always on time and stayed to complete their work. When the job was complete the crew truly cleaned the area around the house before leaving. I really can not say enough about this crew. They were wonderful.

WINDOW REPLACEMENTS

Long Life Windows and Doors did an outstanding job replacing my old wood and aluminum windows. The crew was courteous, efficient, and respectful. Special thanks goes to Josh, Curtis, Matt and Trent but particularly Josh who did beautiful interior trim work on 3 upstairs dormer windows. We noticed right away how much warmer our house feels without the drafty single pain windows. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to replace or put in new windows.

New replacement windows and sliding door

Late last summer/early fall we were in need of replacing several windows, a bay window and family room sliding door. Our older aluminum products were showing their age and we were hoping to update our home in order to match our existing vinyl windows. We became aware of Long Life from a neighbour and upon contact they advised a product match was available (end result, all our windows etc. would be the same). The initial contact with Nicole and subsequent service and follow-up provided by Blaine regarding cost, product, installation timelines, etc. can only be described as courteous and professional. With respect to the installation process, the real stars were Rick and Preston, they are true tradesmen with a passion and pride in their trade. The project was on time and budget with the company ensuring we were completey satisfied with the final results, including clean-up. We couldn't be happier with our new windows, the house is quieter, better insulated and cosmetically uniform. We would highly recommend Lomg Life, noting several neighbours and friends have allready inquired. Thanks again for the great experience.

Supply and Install Sliding Doors

Longlife Windows and Doors recently supplied and installed two Vinyltek sliding patio doors at my home in Delta. The did an outstanding job and we are very happy with the result. Our home is a West Coast contemporary and we ordered the doors painted dark brown on the exterior and interior. We wanted to retain the original stained fir jambs and mahogany casings. Also,we wanted to retain the existing venetian blinds. We were concerned that it might difficult to do this because the new doors are thicker than the old
aluminum sliders and the door handle might interfere with the operation of the blinds. Every aspect of this project was handled in a very professional manner. Chris Alexander, the owner, came out to our home and gave us a description of what they would do. The next day we received a written contract with a detailed description of material to be supplied, statement of work with costs and estimated installation date. They met this date with a week to spare. The Longlife installation crew of Rick, Preston and Ed arrived right on time, with all of the material and a very complete set of hand and power tools for the job.I was very impressed with the time and care that they took to remove the old windows, measure , plumb and square up the openings before even unloading the new windows. They cut and installed furring strips to move the new doors out the exact amount to re-use the existing jambs and casings and for the door handles to clear the venetion blinds. Their prep work was so precise that the new doors fit perfectly into the opening like a glove. The care that they took to caulk and seal the doors before and after they were installed was extraordinary. Both doors were alarmed, so with the approval of my alarm contractor, they re-installed and verified the alarms. After asking us what exterior trim
width we wanted, they cut and installed new pre-primed wood trims, filled and sanded all the nail holes.
I only have to paint them to match the existing wood siding, after the weather warms up a bit.The new doors are elegant and the rooms they serve are much warmer and draft free. It is very re-assuring to know that there
are Companies like Long Life Windows and Doors that still care about customer service and trades people like Rick, Preston and Ed who take such care and pride in doing fine work.

New Windows for entire house

Long Life staff were amazing. From the beginning of the process to the day they completed and left, we had a great experience.

Paul walked us through the showroom and listened to what our vision was, our budget and our timeline. He made sure that our son was not bored and that we were not feeling rushed. He showed us options, made suggestions and together we came up with a solution that worked for everyone.

When it came to have the windows measured, Randy was on time and efficient. He went through the entire house with me and made sure that every detail was looked at down to which way windows would open up.

The day before installation I got a call from Randy. He had been thinking that the J trim that goes around the vinyl was white on our house. He was going to be late the first day because he needed to stop and get J trim that matched the windows. Something I had not even thought of. The result of doing this makes all the difference in the world as we powder coated the outside of the windows dark grey to accent the house. Great detail catch by Randy.

Installation was done mid December 2013 and they told us it would take 4 days and it did. They carefully removed the vinyl siding that was on the house, removed the windows in their frames, installed the new windows with lots of foam insulation and caulking, made sure they were fitted square and then buttoned them up. Only then did they put on the old vinyl.

Every day they cleaned up their mess and took it away.

They answered questions that I had while they were installing and even took the time to go over the windows with my wife so that she could see how they could be taken off easily for cleaning.

Long Life was recommended to us by a neighbour and now I truly understand why.

Randy and Cory did an excellent job in the installation and I am very pleased with their attention to detail. They even built a new casing for the sliding door out to the back yard.

Job was done right, on time and on budget. What else could you want?

Window Installation

When I decided to change our windows, my friend recommended me Long Life as one of the most reputable company. Paul was very approachable and knowledgeable. He sent Josh and his team (Curtis, Trent, and Matt) for the installation. I was very impressed with their hard work. They worked efficiently and everything was done well as it was scheduled. During the installation, I remembered to tell Josh that my husband passed away less than a year ago and I am now a single mother with two young kids. A few days after the window installation was completed, I noticed that our broken wooden gate had been replaced with a new one. I asked around but nobody had a clue to who did it. I discovered later who it was by calling Josh. He sought a permission from Paul to help me out. There are simply no words to express my heartfelt thanks for what they did. Josh is truly the one stands for: honesty, kindness, compassion and helping those in need.
