Product is great...customer service is horrible

I ordered our new sliding patio door at the end of August thinking this would be plenty of time to have it put in before it gets too cold or before the snow comes. An installation date is given to me at for the end of October which was fine...it was a custom door so I expected it to take a while to make. My husband took the morning off of work so he could be there for the installation as I was already working. Two installers arrive on time and take measurements of our door and tell my husband that they cannot install it as centennial made it too big. They were very apolagetic and said that someone would be in contact with us to schedule another date. Another install date was made for the end of November. Again my husband had to take the morning off of work as I was working again. Centennial called my husband at 7 am the morning of the install and say AGAIN that they have made the door to the wrong measurements. I heard this and became furious. I called the sales rep who stated that we would recieve something for this huge inconvenience (we haven't received anything) The door was installed last week (December now..we ordered in August) and we are pleased with the product but not with the service. We will be replacing the last 5 windows in the house next year but will not be using Centennial again.

Bow Window Manufacture And Inst.

The salesman Todd came to give us a quote on March 27th 2015 at 9am. He was spot on time. He spent about 2 hours explaining their product, how it was superior to the competitors and the details of their warranty. The price was more than we were expecting but the samples of the materials that he showed to us were first rate and very robust compared to the materials used by other suppliers we have had to install other windows.

Jason and Dave came to install the window on Saturday 25th April 2015 and arrived at 8 20am although the were due at 9am, they were employees of the company, ie. not contractors, they were both very polite and set up and got to work immediately.
Dust sheets were positioned before any work commenced and then they took out all the old window right back to the brickwork and made a new frame from scratch to take the bow window. They added insulation material where non was present in the old window frame and put in excellent quality materials all round.
Great care was taken to ensure that the window was properly aligned and level and when it was all installed a finishing wood trim surround was added on the inside of the window which matched our lounge trim. There was no chipped paint visible on the wall.

Finally, they picked up their dust sheets and using a shopvac thoroughly cleaned the carpet of any dust or debris. Outside was given an equally thorough clean and there were no pieces of wood, nails etc. etc. to be seen when they left (unlike all contractors we’ve had in the past).

Then on Monday 27th April 2015 Todd the salesperson came to follow up and see if the work was done satisfactorily.

The window looks absolutely perfect, the capping is professional and the sealing is very neat and even (no blobs and runs etc.).
We would recommend anyone who wants a top quality job to use this company even if you find their price a bit more than their competitors. Quality always comes at price.

11 windows and 1 door

We got our windows and door installed last August. The installers were late due to a flat tire and rushed a 2 day job in a day. The windows weren't shimmed properly, caulking around windows was full of holes so water could get in. Didnt fill any of the holes in the trim on the inside and the casings on the outside weren't out enough for our siding to go on. Winter came and our house was drafty and cold due to the shimming problems. Since then there has been a constant number of excuses why they cant get here to fix the problems and our appointment keeps getting pushed further away. It seems like they have are money already and we just dont matter anymore. So whats the point Of this great warranty if they wont come fix anything. We lost 25,000$,, we got nice windows not installed properly and a bunch of excuses why its been 9 months and they still cant get up here to fix them. Save your money and headaches, go elsewhere for your windows and doors. It's really not worth paying double for.

Window and door installation

We recently moved into an older fixer-upper (aka, ugliest house on the street) and knew that there would be a lot of work needed on the home. One of the major areas that needed attention were our windows and our front door - they were old, leaked cold air like crazy, and our hydro bills were astronomical. I'd heard about Centennial and their winter promotions, and a sales rep (Alan Baker) came to see is right away. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and came up with a financing solution that worked for us. The window tech came out to measure shortly afterward, and in a month the windows and doors were manufactured and the installers came out. I was fortunate to get Darren and Justin as installers (both working out of the London location) - they were AMAZING. They made a really huge, messy job almost painless! They were both great - really knew their trades, and took pride in their work. And they were amazing with my dog (a big boxer who spent most of his time sitting right next to them while they worked). Honestly, these guys are great. The finished product is stunning and we're so so happy!

Window replacement

While I normally don’t take the time to offer feedback on my experience with products and/or services, I have made an exception, in this case, for reasons that will be made clear.
I originally contacted Centennial Windows and Doors for an estimate on some work that I needed to have done on my home. Todd, the sales consultant who I soon met afterwards, arrived with several samples of the window and accessory equipment that is used by Centennial . He took the time to walk me through some of the various technical aspects of window manufacture and installation while pointing out many of the superior features of the Centennial brand, some of which, like the proprietary German manufactured gasket sealer, I learned from my own research, were at the leading edge of the window and door manufacture industry. Given the company’s 30+ years of experience, awards, predominantly positive customer feedback, no quibble plus transferable lifetime warranty, and focus on innovation, I agreed to have Centennial replace 5 windows and one sliding patio door for me.
Kevin and Abe, the two installation technicians who later arrived to install my order did so with the utmost of professionalism and dedication to their craft. They kept the work area as clean as possible, worked from 9am till 6pm, with no breaks, and, as I learned later on, did this following and prior to a 1.5 hour commute from the Centennial factory in London to my home in Burlington. Their outstanding work ethic, and prevailing reason for this endorsement, was made even more evident to me when they took the time necessary to properly install my new patio door over a botched DIY installation from the previous owner that was uncovered near the end of their 9 hour work day, not including commutes. I leave it to the reader to draw his/her own conclusions as to the quality of these two employees.
The company appears to be at the higher end of the price spectrum but, as always, one ultimately will receive what one pays for. In my own opinion, the investment is a solid one.
Thank you gentlemen and thank you Centennial.

Front Door/ Sliding Patio Doors

The presentation was far better than another company we had in so that was a huge factor in the choice. This company delivered on time and as expected. We are satisfied with our sliding doors and front entry door. The installers were friendly and proficient. I thought it was pricey but seemed to be worth it overall. We have more privacy, better heat retention and added value to our home.

Basement windows and 2 doors

I was excited to have centennial windows come in and instal our new basement windows and doors. I thought the price was high, but they were adamant that their customer service and warranty was top notch, so I was more than happy to pay for it. When they were installing the windows and also the doors, there was damage done to our trim. We mentioned this when they were about to leave (this is 5 weeks past the maximum quoted instillation date, btw, which was a huge issue since I was pregnant before and now had a 1 week old baby - in the middle of winter - that I then had to take to my mom's house for the whole day. Thank God she lives close to me). Just to note, I had mentioned the date that I was due NS had confirmed that the windows would be done before my due date. I was 1 week late having my baby, and the windows still were not installed.

Anyhow, there was damage done to the trim - a lot of damage where the doors had been installed. This is a big issue for us, because we have very old trim also, since our house is 100 years old, so it's hard to find trim to match. They said they would come and fix it, however, they never did. When we called, they said they would call us back and never did.

Then, our back door one day - which leads to our garage - just stopped opening. When I called, it took 2 weeks to get someone out to fix it. At this point, I have a 1 year old and had to walk around the block - I have an L shaped lot to get him to the car for 2 weeks because our door was jammed shut!
When they finally came to fix it, we had an ok experience, but now, 3 weeks later, the door is giving us problems closing.

Someone was supposed to come by today - they finally called us, one year later, about fixing the trim, so I was going to mention the door - however, they just called to cancel my appointment, even though it was booked 3 weeks ago.

I've just had enough at this point. I would never recommend their service. Especially not for the price we paid.

Dear Carolina,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced regarding the installation and servicing of your windows and doors. The service you received is certainly not Centennial’s standard. We are happy to have been able to re-schedule your service appointment and thank you for allowing us to come back to your home to fix your trim. If there’s anything else that we can do to rectify the situation, please let me know.
