Palmer Brothers Heating & AC

We met the Palmer Brothers at the Markham Fair Home Show years ago when we first moved to Markham in 2001. The 1970-built home that we had moved into had the original furnace and did not have an air conditioner. We had them install a new furnace and air conditioner and had them periodically give the furnace a check up before winter. Sixteen years later our air conditioner stopped working and within a day (during quite a heat spell) they replaced it for us. The folks that have come over the years from Palmer Brothers have always been genuine and informative and have made us feel confident with the services they provide. It has been comforting to be able to count on them all these years for services so vital to the maintenance of our home.

Mike at Palmer Bros., Markham was so good, he fixed up our air conditioner which didn't work overnight on this hot summer. Mike also gave us good info on a lot of things. We are very happy about his good work.

My heating stopped working on the coldest day of the year. I first called Reliance since I have a water heater contract with them, but their technician tried selling me a new furnace which was ridiculous for a 7 year old unit. I found Palmer in the phonebook and called them since they were local. The technician, Jeff, arrived when he had promised and performed a thorough examination of the furnace. He lubricated the motor but it was too seized. He called his suppliers but they were all closed, so he offered to install a smaller motor as a temporary fix. He later got a call from a supplier, saying that he could pick up a motor in the evening. He left but returned in the evening with the part. He was very meticulous with his work and even cleaned parts that were not related to the repair. I was very pleased with the work, customer service and price that was charged. He was very friendly, offered helpful advice, and was careful to not make a mess.

I called Palmer Brothers as our water heater would not come on. Each time it tried it would shut itself down. It was our worst snow storm this year when I called first thing in the morning and Dave Palmer answered the phone. Dave had a couple of guys out that afternoon and some parts had to be ordered. Since the water heater was 9 years old Dave gave me the option of replacing or repairing. I chose to repair and put in all new parts. Dave's guys had the water heater up and running the next morning. I have used Palmer Brothers for many years and would highly recommend their service and installation for HVAC needs.

We just had our 20 year old furnace and ac unit replaced by the Palmer Brothers. Glenn came out and gave us a great quote and the unit was installed in the same week. This is the second system I have purchased from them. The service is next to none!

Palmer Brothers did a great job installing the furnace a year ago in November. They were very neat and kept the are clean. They responded quickly as I had no heat. They provided all the information that I needed to apply for a rebate. Have had no problems with the equipment.

I called for a quote on furnace cleaning and the service people were knowledgeable and polite. To be honest I can't remember where the phone call left off (I think they were going to call back to book a day) but the furnace service person randomly show up on a weekday without us booking an appointment, which ended up turning out ok because my husband just happened to be working from home that day. Palmer Bros. were the ones who pointed out all the numerous code violations on our tankless water heater unit installed by [competitors name removed- ed] (whom we do NOT recommend). The service person also cleaned a calcium spot on our gas fireplace glass for free. Overall it was a good experience.

the installers needed to come back a couple of times before the plumbing to the hot water heater was leak free. Otherwise, Mike (the salesperson) was responsive and gave us good advice.

We thought the pilot light was out in the furnace. . .a straighforward repair. The verdict from the initial visit: a new furnace would be required. The repairman - Mike - refused to "be beat by a lousy furnace". He consulted on his own time with his peers, came back at the crack of dawn the next day, took the furnace apart and lo and behold it worked! Certainly above and beyond the call of duty. Outstanding dedication.
