Gem Windows and Doors

I purchased windows and doors from Gem Windows in July 2013 , they promised to have all the delivery and installation done by end of October 2013; after back and forth emails and phone calls , they ended the last window and door installation only 2 days ago. When the Bay window came indented in multiple places , and inside they installed a counter in a non veneered cheap and rough ply wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, the house side door has its external frame all damaged, which will cause rust soon. Please get far from this company. We paid in credit card and they utilized the number without our authorization , to bill for the last payment sum. Now we are at their mercy!!!!!! for them to fix the problems

Gem replaced my window screens and provided a quote to replace a sliding door with a fire resistant door as per fire code (we ended up going with a fire escape instead in order to keep the sunlight provided by sliding door). in both cases, excellent customer service, easy and pleasant to deal with, and knowledgeable about fire codes to provide a quote for the appropriate door to meet code. I have never had this kind of work done in any of my houses before, and with a winter weather outside I spectated a big mess in a two days period. A crew of 3 people came early in the morning cover the floor of my house and started to work, all I can say is by
6 pm they had changed five windows and 2 patio doors, they did a nice finishing around the windows and clean-up everything before leaving. They did a excellent job in half the time and were very polite and helpful, I would recommend them any time.

My house looks awesome with the new windows (24) and doors (2). You were a pleasure to work with and your installers, were class act. They cleaned up after themselves, and they were perfectionists. The attention to detail was astounding - something thats hard to come by. Thank you Spiro. Will reco you to everyone I know :)

I am very pleased with the windows and the people who sold and installed the windows in my basement. They worked quickly and efficiently and did not leave a mess. I would recommend them to family and friends.

We had to replace the old windows from the 60's and we looked at GEM. Very helpful salesman Seymour guided us thru the process. The installing crew was great. Walter and this crew are very professional. The job got done in no time and looks fabulous. Thank you GEM!

10 years ago I hired Gem Windows to install two of their beautiful and reasonably priced windows. This year during a basement underpinning, the contractor destroyed the cladding of one. I asked Jim Christopoulos to replace the cladding and was told that they would do so- promptly and without charge! Jim came out to ascertain a colour match and true to his word, two helpful workers arrived within a couple of weeks to do an excellent job-complete with fastidious caulking. As a DIYer and someone who has dealt with many contractors, I can only say that their service and work ethic is exemplary. Next year they will be replacing the windows in my new house because they've earned my trust. completely. Thanks Gem

We are returning customers. We are very happy with the quality of the sliding door and the delivery went very smooth on a very cold day. We found the staff at Gem very helpful and the price reasonable.

I walked into GEM with a question about replacing my broken window clips. I was worried I would need new windows. Jim the manager spent 10 mins trying to find the replacement clips and explain what I needed to do. He then handed me the "clips" and did not charge me a cent! I will use this company for any of my window and door needs again for sure! Thanks Jim!
