Derek's Tree Service Inc

This is the second time we have used Derek's Tree Service. I contacted Derek to arrange for a quote and we met on a Sunday morning, and he was punctual in arriving on time. A date was set over the next week & half to remove several large branches off one tree and the removal/clean up/trimming on two other trees. Derek's quote was very reasonable and his crew very professional. They were efficient & cleaned up all debris. I will call upon Derek when I require additional work done as well as recommend Derek to my family & friends.

Derek and his crew did an amazing job. They were quick and left nothing behind but a few nice wood pieces for our fireplace. I would definitely use their services again.

This is the second time we hired Derek and his crew - and again they did a great job. Fast, polite, efficient and always willing to do more for his customer. A no-brainer when it comes to remove trees and Derek is a cool guy.

We had Derek's Tree Service come to our house to plant a hedge and trim some of our cedars. The price was reasonable and the work was top notch! Obviously, if you've read the reviews on here, you know this. What I haven't seen anyone mention, and I think is deserving of mention, is that Derek has, for the last several years, been the sponsor of my son's hockey team. It's one thing to do great work and this is obvious that he does but I think it says a lot about a company to offer that kind of support to the community. Let's face it, without the sponsors our kids couldn't play hockey.

After a wind storm we had a downed Willow from a group of about 5 trunks in our yard. Derek was there literally within 10 minutes of my Call (he was heading this way) for another function but he stopped in on his way. He quoted and gave me a schedule and was there on time to do the work and the fee was as agreed. Excellent work did such a nice job i called him back to do another job for me in our Front yard. Clean up was good.

Derek's Tree Service receives an A+ from start to finish.  The message I left was returned within 30 minutes.  Diana was courteous, friendly and very helpful. I appreciate the fact that when I phoned a second time with "the questions one forgets to ask", Diana patiently answered each one.  Front line customer service is very important.  Bob showed up on time to give us an estimate on a large tree with branches overhanging our roof.  We wanted those branches removed. Since the job was small and it was the end of the day (around 6 pm) Bob was able to trim our tree right away, much to my surprise and delight.  He even cleaned up some areas that I had butchered.  Bob cleaned up the removed branches and took them away.  Another A+.
Derek phoned later to confirm we were satisfied with the job.  Another A+.  The next time I require tree service I will be asking Derek's Tree Service to return.
I highly recommend this company to even the most discerning customer. 

I engaged Derek to come get rid of the hedges that were growing wildly in my front yard, as well as a small tree in the backyard. His rate was reasonable and he came by promptly when he said he would - something I appreciate, after dealing with contractors who don't even bother showing up, let alone on time! Derek does a decent job.

Derek was precisely on time (on a Sunday morning) to give us his estimate. His 6-man crew had excellent equipment. They were fast, efficient, and cleaned up all the debris.

We had a large Maple near the house, 60 ft high and 5ft across at the trunk that was rotting inside and needed to go. Derek gave us the best price (by a lot!) and was also the most reluctant to cut it down if it could be saved and I liked his attitude. Unfortunately the damage was too great and it had to be cut down. Derek called ahead to tell us what day he would come, and he arrived on time with a large, cheerful, energetic and polite crew. The tree was down, the stump ground out, all the wood and debris taken away and the property cleaned up by mid afternoon. He even took down a small Ash tree that was growing in an awkward place as part of the deal. The other companies insisted that they needed a large crane because of the branches going over the roof and one company wouldn't even touch the job because it was too close to the house but Derek and his guys were very efficient and the job was done with no damage anywhere. All in all, a very satisfactory experience. I have several other large trees on the property and I will be sure to use Derek for future pruning and tree care work.

This guy is unbelievable. My friend (who found him on this site) contacted him to clean his trees and raved about him. (I'm pretty sure he's got a review in here somewhere).

So, here's what happens. My wife decides to put on a garage sale the same day (figuring she'd be outside so why not kill two birds with one stone right) and they show up (on time) with a big team of guys, trucks, chippers, the works.

Derek (I think that's his name) looks at me with disbelief in his eyes. But no problem. I shut down that sale in 10 minutes.

They coned off an area in front of my house and put the chipper in it. They descend into my back yard and begin walking up the sides of the trees and within a very short time completed the work. They did an AWESOME job.

They cleaned everything, cut all the larger pieces into firewood and neatly stacked it (because we asked), and left us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO CLEAN.

The price was very fair, the guys were cool and professional, the work was exceptional. I can't remember the last time I was so impressed by the quality of a contractor.

Way to go guys, you deserve this review.
