Bedroom Furniture

I purchased bedroom furniture and a top of the line mattress from Bad Boy. When it was delivered I discovered one of the handles from the side table was missing. I contacted the store hoping to get a handle from the floor model. I was told I had to contact customer service to have a new one ordered. I contacted customer service and was told it will take over a week to get a handle sent. I find the customer service in the store not to be very customer friendly and will definitely think twice about purchasing something from there again.

Unethical fine print - all sales final

My experience has been awful. I would recommend you read the fine print carefully before you give them your money. They have on their forms: "all sales are final" in small print. That's unheard of. When asking about the morality of this, I got rude responses from the sales associate, from the manager Steven, and from the secretary Barb. The sales person was rude and arrogant. They do not hire the best, that's for sure. Furthermore, when they got the wrong sofa, they didn't apologize and insisted it was there in the warehouse. The warehouse staff laughed at the manager because saying he always treats customers like that.

home furniture

My experience with Bad Boy has been absolutely terrible.

I just moved to a new condo and purchased all my furniture from them. The price was right, but no price is worth the kind of stress they put me under.

They had to make a total of 6 deliveries to my place. They would deliver a table top with the wrong base, a damaged cupboard and even a used dining set when there was none left in stock.

I had to bring the table base in store to prove it was the wrong item. We discovered they mislabeled the SKU after I physically had to take the base and put it beside the floor model to prove it was the wrong item.

The dining set they sold me wasn’t in stock, and wouldn’t be restocked for another 2 months. Why sell a table they don’t have? Worst part, they have a no refund policy, so either I wait 2 months and eat on the floor or choose another table. They didn’t have any smaller tables in stock, so they instead gave me a loaner table – which was missing all four legs and bar stools as chairs. Really.

It took them 2 weeks to remove the useless loaner table from the condo, and magically the table I ordered suddenly became available. They delivered an obviously used table as the glass was scratched and the seats were worn. It also came off the truck without a box.

There was a total of 6 deliveries = 6 days of work I missed. This doesn't count the time I had to go to the wear house myself to pick up the right item. They tried playing dirty games on me which really makes me regret ever stepping into their store.

It doesn’t matter how low the price. Stay away!

Couches

Bought my couches from Bad Boy about 2 years ago. I was promised the world from the sales person that if I bought the extended warranty that EVERYTHING would be covered for 5 years. Haha! She was very specific that if anything happened to the couches , even if it happened 4 and a half years from the purchase time, if they could not fix it then they would replace it. I was impressed.

Read the fine print because what I was told was not the case. I signed the paper without reading it because I trusted the sales person and was very satisfied with the " coverage" . That's my fault I guess.

I'm very disappointed with their service. They put you on hold for 10 minutes before answering only to tell you're not covered or you need to call the extended warranty people so they can tell you you're not covered.

I would not have bought these from them had I known this would happen. You live and you learn !

Upside- I bought my washer and dryer from them prior to the problems with my couch and they are problem free.

Dining Set

Purchased a dining set from their store near Kennedy and Lawrence. As most positive reviews here pointed out, their sales person was friendly and helpful, everything was smooth and good, UNTIL YOU PAY.

I made the purchase on Sep 26. Before paying I asked when will it be delivered because it is really important for me to get it before I got deployed oversees at end of October. And I won't be back for at least six months. I got the response that it will be delivered at the beginning of October, and since timing is important for me they wrote "Begin of OCT" and even "ASAP" on the bill of sale to reassure me this delivery will be their priority. Happy with their service, I paid with confidence.

You can guess what went wrong. I haven't received any call or message from them since then. On Oct 15 I could not wait anymore and made a call to the store asking what is wrong with the delivery. After a quick check (less than a minute) the lady said the chairs are not in stock but it will be delivered before the end of Oct. FINE, at least someone should call me and told me, but people are busy right? On the 18th I called again to see if there is any update, this time they are far less friendly, but at least still somewhat professional. During the call the lady put me on hold several times, transferring me to different people and I had to repeat my situation several times just to get a estimate date of delivery. The final answer I got is this: since it is a Saturday their main office is closed so they cannot tell me when the delivery will happen except it should be end of Oct. But they promise they will call me back on Wednesday. I told them I am leaving the country pretty soon, if I can't get any answer on the delivery date soon I will have to cancel the order. They assured me again everything will be fine once Wednesday comes. Alright, fair enough. I guess there are a lot of stuff for them to do on Monday and Tuesday. It is Wednesday now and I haven't received any call from them until 2PM. I called them again see if there is any update. Got the same answer, not in stock, should be end of October. I asked for a date of delivery, she said it's not possible cause it's not in stock. EXACT SAME CONVERSATION AS THE FIRST CALL. It's like hitting a wall. As soon as I start explaining AGAIN why the delivery date is important for me cause I'm leaving soon she put me on hold. I was like "what just happened?!" After a few minute I got tired of waiting and called again. THE PHONE WAS HUNG UP RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT A WORD! At this time I got worked up and immediately dialled back. First thing I said was that I want to cancel the order. The usual "We don't do cancels""All sales are final" came up. I asked why will they write "Begin of OCT" on the bill of sale if there's nothing in stock and they only expect delivery at the end of Oct. she replied with "it's on the fine print of bill of sale that delivery dates are estimates and they are not responsible for delays" I asked what you suggest me to do now since nobody will be at home for their delivery? Of course she's got Nothing.

The thing that baffled me the most is that it took them less than a minute to check stock level. Why not check it before I pay instead of writing down a wrong delivery time to trick me? I could've chosen something else. Even you are not responsible for what you wrote (which was not mentioned in the entire conversation during shopping) it is still just wrong to give faulty information purposely. And hung up the phone without saying a word? That is just a gem. At this point I'm not even mad, I'm impressed that people still do this.

So in conclusion, Bad Boy is a perfect store before you spend your money there which became a nightmare to deal with. My suggestion: save yourself some trouble and do not shop from there.

Living set and 7 pcs dinning set+Warranty

Warranty is an illusion. I called many times for many weeks for the dinning and the living set to end up with the same answer that the warranty does not cover this issue. In another word i have lost 150 Dollars to cover a long list of damages for 5 years to the extent of replacing the set or store credit in case they don't carry the same model, as per the salesman and the manager of the Dundas Storer.
This is just a story till you buy warranty. Then you will realize that you have lost the money.
ON the dinning set the insurance company told us that it is a defect in the seat and it is not covered, (the bonded leather seat of the dinning table got ribbed accidentally by a guest with sharp button on his panties. The report of the professional that the bonded leather is made of two layers and the two layers separated on use and this is not covered. This is the first experience after one year of using the set (the other five chairs nothing happened to that defected material as per the professional.
The second experience after two years and half, the spring coils of only the sofa, you can feel it strongly when seating.
besides the screws of the legs of two chairs of the dinning set does not tie any more in the same hole (loose legs).
After many calls and visits the professional sent his report to have the same answer that the warranty does not cover the issues arise from daily use. As long as the coils didn't pop out of the sofa and still under the bonded sheet, it is a regular daily use and fixing or replacing is not covered.
The loose legs of the two chairs of the dinning set are also because of daily use not accidental issue, so it is not covered.
THE CONCLUSION IS I LOST THE 150 AND IT IS A BIG ILLUSION BY THE STAFF IN BAD BOY. DO NOT BUY ANY WARRANTY IT IS A WAIST OF MONEY.
ALSO DO BUY FROM THIS BAD BOY, because they are BAD VERY BAD.
The company that does not keep the promises does not deserve to be trusted.
The last experience was on OCTOBER 20141

Washer Dryer Sofa

Do NOT make any purchase with BAD BOY, esp the Dundas location in Mississauga, sales person Manprett Kaur. DO NOT trust any words they say. When they tried to get the sales, they told us that installation and removal of the all washer, dryer, and sofa is included. No where in the conversation did they mentioned there was extra cost. They told us dont worry"we will take care everything for you is part of our service." Then when the delivery guy came, they told us they only do delivery and cannot help us remove the old washer n dryer unless we paid them extra. We told them it should be included but they said they only go by what the store tells them and actually advise us that many store say one thing and does the other. And they left the new washer and dryer for us to move. We spent an hour removing the old ones ourselves. We called in the store and complain to the sales manager. She said Bad Boy never include installation and removal of old appliances and Manprett wouldnt have said that. They will not send installation guy over unless we pay extra. Even the sofa that is now backorder, they will not help us remove the sofa. But we hv no space to put them if the ones r not removed. They say it is OUR own responsibility to remove. I dont understand how can they hv such poor customer service. They do absoltely nothing and take no responsibility of what they promise after u sign the bill. They just try everything to rip money off from you. I will NEVER return and will let everyone know how unreliable they are.

new house furnishings

The sales staff in the Burlington store are very friendly & work hard to get the sale but don't expect any customer service after payment is made. I purchased 12 items for my new home including a dinning set and living room furniture and only received 7 items. I called the store right after the delivery on Tuesday to complain about the missing and wrong items delivered and was given the run around by Debbie who told me that the manager would call me right back. Days later there still has been no call so when I called again today I was guaranteed that the manager would call me. NoooBody has contacted me regarding a resolution to this issue. I would strongly recommend no one shop at this store.

We purchased a leather recliner love seat and couch from Bad Boys Burlington in July, requested delivery in August because we were redoing our floors. (they called numerous times to try and get an earlier delivery date - its like they didn't hear us as to why we had to wait!)
We had chosen bad boys, as our previous couch was from there and we had it for 15 years no problems. This time around, nothing but problems. First they delivered a love seat and chair instead of a sofa. Then when they called after everything was delivered to "check in" my husband filed complaint number one. There are areas on the furniture that have no "stuffing!" Threads hanging everywhere and the firmness is totally different between the love seat and sofa, although it is supposed to be memory foam, huge indents are left behind from elbows. in less then 4 weeks it was already ripping, and fabric unstiched and hanging under the recliner foot rest part. It took 6 calls to customer service, and then I just went to the store to complain in person. That finally got a technician out to the house (2 months later!) Even he said how crappy the couches were and the store should be unwrapping the furniture to check for defaults before delivery. Now 2 weeks later, we still are waiting for a response about what the techincian sent to customer service. I have gotten creative answers that the technician didn't send it, the file wasn't uploaded, we left him a message. I am so disgusted by the customer service, I will be looking elsewhere for the other furniture we plan to buy. They have lost all my business and I will be sure to tell friends not to shop there either!!! If it is not resolved, I will be after the company for a full refund when I bring the furniture on a trailer to the store! What we had delivered was nothing like what we sat on in the store. What a complete disappointment.
