I was glad to have the services of Action Home Services after reading the mostly positive reviews. The workers were reliable. They redesigned the steps to my basement apartment in a way that protected it from flooding mishaps and ensured they were up to code. The front walkway was dug up and rebuilt. At the back, where there was an overgrowth of weeds on my mutual driveway due to the neighbour's concrete pad draining water on to my section, I now have a gravel driveway. The split in the concrete was "fixed" to avoid weeds. Work was guaranteed. However I was not completely pleased with the gravel work. The area I was concerned with does have ponding. Weeds came back in the split in the concrete that was supposed to have been fixed. On the upside I retained the last payments due as a precaution against being left holding the bag. I can now use that money to fix the deficiencies that were not addressed. Joe was polite and pleasant in his communication as were the workers. I did complain about concrete debris left on the road in front of my house. It was attended to after my complaint.

I used SNAP Pest Control many years ago for a raccoon issue. From that time... I've considered Joe Bruno as the personable pest control expert whose work is reliable. I've waited quite a while to get Joe through Covid and medical issues for both of us and am glad I finally was able to have him deal with my winter mice problem. I know I can call him should I need to. Breathing a sigh of relief that Joe was finally here to fix my problem.

I called Wall Doctor last year. I was unable to follow through with my contract because of an illness. I was pleased to be able to reconnect with the company this year and proceed to get needed work done. Penny is always gracious on the phone. The work done this year to repair various wall and door issues along with paint for a fresh entrance to my house has surpassed expectations. Work was done promptly in two days. I will always rely on Wall Doctor for reliable quality and great service. My thanks to Chris, Ron and Baber, each for their part to making me a very happy customer.

Rinchin was hired last year to fix two new troughs which were not done properly. He was reliable in coming again this year with regard to cleaning my eavestroughs. Rinchin is reliable, pleasant and doesn't overcharge. He's simple and direct in his communication. He operates on trust.

Deborah the telephone receptionist was invariably pleasant in making arrangements and answering any questions I had. Kevin and Andrew arrived within the time frame and in short order, my first batch of clutter was removed with no problem. I intend to hire this company yet again for the removal of all my other items. They made light work of the nuisance of unneeded items. Further I'm assured that the items are sorted as required for further distribution to appropriate services.

I needed a new dehumidifier set up and lights replaced in the kitchen and upper stairway. Marko came on time, did the work in a jiffy and charged very fairly for these small jobs. As a senior I appreciate having him as my go-to handyman...he's respectful, kind, and dependable. I wish him all the best especially after the ups and downs caused by Covid. This is the second time I've used his services and yet it seems he's been there for longer.

I chose Aire Max after reading the stellar reviews. Max was prompt in his response and was ready to work in two days' time. He and his technician, Mo, fitted me out with a new 40 gallon hot water tank and a high efficiency furnace. I am very pleased with the neatness of the installation in the area. I am assured that Max will be there to answer any concerns I have and fix any problems should they ever arise.

Mark was very kind and gracious in assisting me a senior with my to-do list..from small (putting up a bar and installing a latch) to more tedious work like door weather stripping changing ceiling lights. His most important challenge was removing the awful puck under-cabinet lights and installing LED strip lights. He was always patient and affable and exceedingly fair in his charges...despite the up and down for the items that was involved. I'm very grateful for his work and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

This company was recommended to me by another last year. I'm very pleased that I was able to have the team led by Leo complete this task for me at long last. Prompt, quick, organized and efficient. They prepped the area, worked quickly, cleaned up and were gone after a mere three hours. A boon to have for double brick older houses like mine without having to put in bulky insulation. Thanks to Irena for her helpful and friendly conversations on the phone and to Leo who knows his job and takes pride in it.

I hired Reno Creations in 2015 and was very satisfied with the renovation of my main floor. The work included new flooring, fireplace rebuild, electric fixtures, drywall, ceiling and trim work. Each phase had its own tradesperson and was scheduled in good order. Al put himself out to scout out flooring and mantel piece for me and pick up my choice of fireplace surround stonework. The price was very reasonable and work completed in a timely fashion. There was a problem with dust cleanup but that was settled to my satisfaction. Al is a knowledgeable contractor and aims to please.

I first met Ilia when windows were installed on my new back porch. He was extremely conscientious about getting the job done right and it was. Now I've had all the windows of two levels of my house completed by him.....ON TIME, ON BUDGET, TO MY TOTAL SATISFACTION. I'm a happy customer.

I hired Gilad and crew through Home Depot. There was an initial glitch concerning the quality of the material Gilad brought for the project. However, after insisting and seeking out the right material that I wanted, I am very satisfied with the work of Darcy and Matt who gave me a finished porch that everyone admires. Thank you to Gilad and crew for a dream come true.

Who knew that upholstery and carpeting could look like new again? Thanks to Sandro and Steve and secty. for great service which made me like my furnishings all over again.

I hired Pro Painters because of the high degree of satisfaction with their service and cost as expressed by other homeowners. I was not disappointed. Cam is devoted to customer satisfaction, is careful to avoid damage and quotes a fair price. I will hire him again.

Paul Hannah conducts his business with the utmost integrity. He once came to my house to provide duct cleaning services and told me on the spot that on examination there was no need to perform the services. He did not charge me for his time. As a result I did not hesitate to call his company when indeed I was in dire need of duct cleaning after a messy reno project. Matt and Greg came and their service and manner were respectful and friendly yet efficient, thorough and conscientious in getting my home back to a cleaner state. I told Paul Hannah that we are lucky to have a company like his to call for service. Your perfect rating is well-deserved.

Based on the HomeStars review, I engaged Windows by Installer to build windows for my porch. Ilya gave excellent customer service. There was a mistake in the window design when the windows arrived and this was corrected by rush order in a matter of days. Greensaver was recommended to me by a colleague. However, my experience with this company was the worst I'd ever had with any company. The person doing the audit walked with a young helper and spent the entire time of the audit on her phone. When I read her report, it was so badly written that I was aghast. Greensaver had no problem with the quality of the written report. When I arranged to have someone start to do the work, the fellow had not bothered to be aware of the nature of the job and thought he was coming to do roof insulation, ladder in tow. I complained about the level of service and all I got was more disrespect and rudeness. I ended up just about throwing him out of my house. The other people Greensaver suggested I could deal with never returned phone calls. The company was prepared to give me a credit for any contract but indeed I should have had an instant refund of some of my money. It was a total write-off for me and the worst experience I ever had with a company. I'm glad to see that others have been having a better experience than mine, a few years ago. But alas, there also some other victims out there.

I had to engage Joe Bruno when raccoons ripped open my roof vent and entered my neighbor's attic space with babies in tow. Joe always responds to his phone calls, is patient and respectful and demonstrates time and again that his only interest is to assist homeowners in ridding themselves of these pests. His fee is very reasonable. A true tradesman.

After interviewing at least five other concrete contractors I finally found Jason who could accurately analyse the cheapest and most effective way to improve the surface appearance of my stamped concrete entrance. He and his assistant were very thorough, quick, responsive and reliable. Joy
