Just finished the basement in our house and went to maple leaf floors for carpet and tile for the washroom. Staff was very helpful, knowledgable and professional. The tile guys did a great job in the washroom. They were fast too. The carpet guy on the ther hand did a botch job on he carpet. He burnt one area of the carpet and then left a huge seam line smack dab in the middle of the basement. The stair carpet was loose and uneven. We advised Them immediately, they sent someone to check the work and agreed to have it redone. They did send someone more professional the second time and offer me a discount but it was just a hassle in time and effort.

Thanks for the feedback Doreen. We would love for every job to go as planned but sometimes installers can have an off day. We understand renovations are stressful enough when they go as planned so we can understand the stress we caused you when the new carpet was not done properly. The good thing about our warranty is that it covers the full material and labor so if a certain installer did an improper install on it we will make sure to send another installer out immediately to repair/replace. Please accept our apologies for this and we were more than happy to try our best to make it up to you!

In June of 2011, we made an offer to purchase a pre-owned home. One of conditions we put on our offer was to have a home inspection done. Our realtor gave us the name of a company some of his past clients used which was Pillar to Post. They were punctual and professional. He reviewed with us in detail all the items he inspected, reviewed his recommendations and asked if we had any questions. We walked through the house with him for some of it. As this as our first time, i found him to be very helpful. He then walked us through the furnace area and showed us where he added labels for us on our furnace, hot water tank and some other areas which he showed my husband. He provided us with a binder with different references inside and checklists for our future use. They even include a DVD of the inspection...not sure if everyone does this but that was great. Once everything was completed, he told us if we had any other questions we could call him otherwise it was all documented and on DVD as well. I would use here guys again and would recommend them to others.

We needed new carpet for our basement construction in Oct 2011 so after looking at a few places to compare the carpet we wanted, End of the Roll came up as the best offer. They are very competitive and are low pressure with their sales. I found others a bit more aggressive but they were laid back, knowledable, and friendly. They had the same product selections as the others I went to but staff and pricing was better. They remembered me by name even a week after I initially went in. The carpet came on time and the install was done professionally. The guy even came back to add a metal piece btwn my washroom tile and the carpet because after thinking about it for a week, I changed my mind and wanted it. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

I am reluctant to use harsh chemicals to clean the carpet but having received a phone call from them one evening for a promotion and asking them about their product, I decided to try them out since they promote their environment friendly product that they also say is safe for kids and pets. We used them in our home prior to moving out to ensure the new tenants would have clean carpets and the guy did such a great job on the stains that i asked if we could ensure we got the promo special for the new house we were moving into. He made a call to the office and got us booked for the possession date and got us the great promo plus a deal for the stairs since we were giving them more business. I asked for his name and whether we could get him again (I believe it wasTrevor) but he said he had a job out of town that day but not to worry,they were all very good. He was right, the guy that did our new house was just as detailed to ensure all spots got out and every area was cleaned thoroughly. In fact, the owner even showed up to assist him at the end to ensure they weren't taking too long but that everything was done properly as to not rush the job. As you have read, I did already do business with them after my first experience and will continue to give them business and recommend them to others.

After buying a coupon online for duct cleaning at a discounted rate with Action Furnace, I called them to make a booking. The staff was very friendly despiteI having a coupon for their services. After informing her that I was expecting and wanted to get this done prior to the new baby arriving, she did everything in her power to accommodate us since they were so busy due to the coupon promotion. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned and the baby arrived a week before the cleaning. When the cleaner came (I think his name was Jeff), he was very professional and helpful. He asked to see the furnace and unknowingly, we had a lot of stored items around the area since we had just moved in not long ago but they were obstructing what he needed to access. This didnt bother him at all, he even helped my husband move things out of the way. Once that was completed, we asked how long it would take because we had 2 toddlers and a baby and needed to ensure they were out of his way. He took one look at us with the infant and told us that we should probably leave the house while he does the cleaning in case the particles in the air were to come up and get into the newborn's lungs since he is brand new and if it were his baby he would do that. We were so thankful for his advice. I asked if he would mind giving us 15 min to get the kids dressed and loaded into the car and still as patient and friendly as ever, he said sure. By ths time, it was already way passed our scheduled appt time AND we asked him last minute before leaving if they installed humidifiers and he took the time to explain which one might be best for us and the house. I thought I would have to book another appt to get the install but he said he could do it all today and would call us once everything was complete so we could head back home. WOW, such great service! He cleaned the ducts, installed the humidifier, helped move things out of the way in our storage area, taught us how to maintain the humidifier and protected our children from possibly getting sick. I would do business with them over and over again and recommend them to others.

My tenants called informing me there was something wrong with the furnace as there was no heat coming from it for the last few days. Worried that it might get too cold at night for their kids, I wanted to get this resolved as quickly as possible. The Gas company was at the house earlier in the day and advised me of the problem and what exactly needed to be fixed so I made some calls to a few different places to see how soon they could get out to fix the problem. Most of them were unable to make it there the same day or charged ridiculous dispatch fees. Clear view advised they could come out today and would charge me regular hrs dis patch fee even though it might be after hours and told me they could have it fixed today since they carry parts with them. I asked them to please let me know when they arrived so I could go over to my property if I needed to. The repair man was helpful as he called me when he arrived at the property and told me he would just call me back when he was done checking it out. He then called me again to advise of the problem and that he didn't have the part but another van did at another site so he would go there and get the part, come back and repair it and I asked him to pls call me back. He did exactly that so it saved me lots of time going back and forth between my houses. I went over in person to pay him and he even waived the dispatch fee for me. The service was definitely good (thanks Gerry) and I'm glad they could get it fixed the same day. Good service but in my opinion - but it still seemed a bit pricey compared some of the others but they were the only ones that could do the same day service which is what I really needed.

Our prices are carefully crafted and adjusted quarterly. - what we do is quote UP FRONT, prior to the work being performed, so that the homeowner can make an informed decision based on the exact price, as opposed to an hourly rate plumbers low-ball guesstimate. You're right - we are not the cheapest in town and will never aspire to be!! But nor are we the most expensive, believe it or not! We ensure we're within 10%-20% (higher and lower) than who WE consider to be our competition.

In June of 2011, we were scheduled to move into our new home early in he day only to find that the previous owners were still in the process of moving out when we arrived at the house. To my disappointment, they were nowhere close to being out and the house was completely filthy! After being delayed for the entire day, we finally took possession 6 hours after we were scheduled to. Pregnant with two toddlers, we decided it best if we hired someone to clean the house. Our realtor looked up some cleaning services for me and I got out the yellow pages (since we had no Internet services yet) and started my call outs. To my surprise, cleaning services are quite in demand these days and have no availability unless yu give them some notice! After calling over a dozen, I lucked out with Mango Maid. The person on th ephone was friendly and sympathetic to our situation. They told us nobody would be available until tmrw but would check and see what they could do and call me back. Within a couple of hours, I received a call from them saying they could come tonight and will finish everything as long as it takes!! I was sooooo grateful. They told me they would bring 3 people to speed things up since it would be getting late. We had to step out for an emergency but I left specific instructions for them and they did everything I asked and more. They even took their shoes off outside the door. Amazing group of people. They were so considerate of the kids bedtime since was getting late that they made sure their bedrooms were done first as not to interrupt bedtime. I'm not sure how this compares up with others since this my first time using a cleaning service but if I had to do it again or could do it on a regular basis, they would be my choice. They went above and beyond to come on short notice which is something nobody else offer to do for us.

Frustrated with moving to a house where the previous owner didnèt have blinds and old raggedy curtains, my husband and i decided to look into getting blinds installed. After having a few consultation visits with several companies, Budget Blinds beat all of them in their friendliness and speediness in getting the measurements done and a quote back. Ron was super friendly and professional. He made us feel very at ease with him and spent time going over the different options for the blinds and the pluses and minuses of each, whereas the others wanted to know ahead of time what we wanted (which I had no clue! that is why I called them in the first place). He brought in samples of all types of blinds verses the other guys who wanted to know what our preference was ahead of time so they would not have to bring everything. Ron even went out of his way to match the other guys quotes and came back to go over the installation afterwards to see where we had any concerns. The areas where we were concerned about were fixed within 2 weeks. His installation guys were amazing, helpful and professional. They even helped take down the ugly curtains we wanted to get rid of! Budget Blinds North is great!

I woke up one morning pregnant and with a two kids under 4 and a husband away on a business trip only to discover that there was no hot water. Realizing this was going to put a hamper on our bedtime routine, I started to call several companies to find out costs and availability to come today. They were either very expensive with fees even prior to doing any work (aka dispatch fees). Feeling discouraged, I remembered years back that I had used Cuthbert Plumbing so I called Scott and sure enough, he was able to get to us within a couple of hours to diagnose the problem and fix it. He told me it was a simple fix and that the connection somehow popped out and he had to reconnect the hoses. His price was so reasonable! He was professional, honest and quick. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone that needs plumbing or heating work done.
