I can't tell you how grateful we are for the care and attention John from Quality Home Inspections gave to the inspection he did on the property we have now purchased. This is the first time we've bought a condo, and we're new to Vancouver, so we really needed a home inspection we could count on. The building is only four years old, and some people were advising everything would be fine with it. We figured this is our biggest investment and our home, so we couldn't be too careful. We learned so much about our own unit and the strata itself!
We were impressed first off with the way John got right down to work, quickly and efficiently looking things over. He's obviously very experienced. In our discussion, he started by giving his overall mark for the property. Very helpful! We knew where we stood. Then he brought up a few things that will help us proactively take best care of our new place, like the wax ring on the toilet that was shot causing the toilet to leak ever so slightly. He also pointed out things that will help us be alert to possible strata issues, like needing to clear the roof of debris at least once a year to avoid clogging.
We love that in the contract we were assured that we are welcome to get back to John and ask questions about our property for however long we are the owners. Talk about money well spent! Thank you.
