A Team Appliance Repair

My fridge stopped cooling, fresh food and freezer compartment. Someone suggested it could be the control board. $600 for part and labour. Found the part for $60 on Amazon, Swapped it out myself. Alas, not the issue. Sigh.

Call this company (no review research, when will I learn). They come promptly the next day. Tells me the compressor is broken. Worst-case scenario for a fridge. $1400 for part and labour. So, no thanks and $90 bucks. OK.

I knew from youtube that there are 3 to 4 reasons why a compressor may not start. So I decide a Hail Mary before chucking my fridge which isn't even that old. And buy these two parts, a compressor start relay and capacitor. $25 on Amazon. Swap the parts out and BOOM, the fridge is working again!

My beef with this company is, the tech made a determination that was WRONG, he should know there are at least 3 reasons a compressor may not run and he didn't do the necessary steps to factually determine what the issue was. I would have thrown away a perfectly decent appliance if I hadn't tried one last thing. And when I called the company, the woman I talked to, "Dazzy", was combative, telling me I hadn't "trusted" her company to do the repair (such a disconnect, how could I trust these guys when I was told it would be $1400 to repair the fridge and I might as well buy a new one).

She kept going on about how it was a service call and not "labour" and I was going on about how I expect an accurate diagnosis in a service call and I didn't get that. She eventually hung up on me. AVOID!

Maytag front load washer was leaking. A Team tech said that the door boot assembly needed changing so he replaced it with a certified Maytag boot assembly which came with a 3 year warranty. It now leaks again less than 1 month later. Contacted A Team and would now charge a service call again to diagnose the problem. I paid $400 for the assembly and $250 for the initial service call. When I explained problem to rep they said that there was only a 30 day warranty on labor. So I was less than a week past the 30 day warranty.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS. TOOK $990 TO REPAIR MICROWAVE, AND HAS NO INTENTION OF DOING ANYTHING. HAD TO CALL THE POLICE AT THEIR 85 ENTERPRISE LOCATION TO GET MY MICROWAVE BACK WHICH WAS TOTALLY DISMANTLED AND WORTHLESS NOW. NO REFUND .THEIR OFFICE HAS 9 STAFF ON THE PHONE LOOS LIKE HANDLING CALLS FOR DIFFERENT LOCATION ALL FROM ONE OFFICE. NO REPAIR ACTIVITY GOING ON . ONLY TRAPPING PEOPLE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO FIX THEIR APPLIANCE

Called for oven repair. They wanted to charge 1100 for a 300 job. Repair guy took my oven door and I changed my mind after some research and seeing g that they where way over priced. They wanted to charge me to bring my oven door back. CSR agent hung up on me when I said I would not pay an additional charge. What a joke of a company. Avoid like you life depended on it.

This week I had a service call on the washing machine as it would not spin. The person did arrive on time and fixed the problem. The reason for the low review is the price that is charged for labour. Does not matter how long they are there it is $280 charge for labour, even if only there for a short time. I feel ripped off and hope the washing machine lasts for several years after paying $526. Wish I had taken the time to read these reviews. I would not recommend this company at all.

Don't believe their 4.7 star rating in Google map. Their true rating is 2.1. On Google, they have two accounts under similar names "A team Appliance Repair" and "A Team Appliance Rep", sharing the same phone number and website. But their reviews are in total contrast, 4.7 star vs 2.1 star. I called and confirmed that they are the same company with the same group of technicians.

All the 900+ bad reviews are under the 2.1 star with the same awful experience that I had. A lot are recent reviews in the last months. In contrast, their 4.7 star account is newly created. So I think they intentionally created a new account to get rid of all the negative reviews in their old 2.1 star account, in order to mislead the users.

what a joke, came didn't fix anything wouldn't leave until I had signed the bill, comes in looks at fridge and said yep its not working you will need parts, for this he wanted 300 plus parts. refused to leave. Techs are bullies, havent a clue how to fix anything had to call credit card company to get charges reversed.

This company came up in a pop-up ad when I googled a company that had been recommended to me. The technician came, looked at our fridge that was making a loud noise and assured me that it was an easy repair that he would do for $300. When we agreed, and I had signed his form, he asked for the money up front and only cash or debit. I foolishly paid $300 plus tax on debit and he went to work. 20 minutes later, he told me that he actually couldn't fix it without replacing a much larger more expensive part for $1,000. It was a small, older fridge and I said that I could pretty much buy a new one for that amount. He assured me a new one would be $2000 plus. (Not true as have since bought a new, similar one for $1100. I asked him to put it back together, he left several broken pieces of styrofoam and crammed it back together in about 4 minutes. I requested a refund of a part of the payment I had made since he didn't fix it as promised and was only there for 30 minutes. He said I would have to call the office. He suggested that I call the number on the form I signed. It was an unassigned number. I tried the "local" number where I had reached them first, it was busy. Meantime, my son looked up the company and saw so many reviewers with a similar experience. I called the Toronto area office and was basically told "too bad". I did not sign to say that I was satisfied, but there appears to be no recourse. It was an expensive lesson!

The technician was in my house for 10
Minutes & charged me $300. Assured me it was working. It is not working at all. They refuse to send a new technician out if I dont pay additional $800 for some part. Worst ever. I feel so ripped off & taken advantage of. Brutal.

Cant actually fix anything Put a bandaid on then try to come back charge again
