Gas Stove Repair

DO NOT engage or work with this company. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service and business ethics. Do not make the mistake I made and ignore the bad reviews, thinking "how bad can this company be?" This is a BAD company.
We engaged this company to repair our stove on October 15, 2022. A technician came to our home and we were told on the phone it would be an $80 visit and if we choose to use them, the $80 will be waived...I was fine with that arrangement.
The technician arrived, typed the error code into google on his phone and showed me the error. He then searched for the part while he was at my home and said "we'll need to order this as it does not appear to be in stock. It should take 4-6 weeks to source and install."
At week four, I called them to see what is the status and they said they were having trouble sourcing the two parts: new motherboard and new harness/connecting wires. And that they would keep me apprised of any changes. That week, I sourced the cables on Amazon and started looking for the motherboards. At week eight, I called them again asking for a status update...and they could not locate a replacement MB. By December 15, 12 weeks to the date, our stove officially died and my wife and I decided to buy a new one. We called the company to cancel our contract and refund us the $577 they collected from us minus the $80 house call. Well, if you want to meet or talk to surely & rude customer service people who will harangue and berate you, then look no further than A Team Appliance.
I was told that they would only be refunding me 50% as i need to pay for labour costs; that's right, LABOUR COSTS! Good luck asking them to explain what labour was involved. They will refer to the call they had with you and some how try to convince you that they told you of this egregious amount - I even showed this letter to a lawyer and it does not say they can keep 50% of the dollar amount. I have argued with them multiple times and the CS reps are trained to be rude, loud and aggressive.
There are better companies out there...call around, take your time to find a better business and read and trust the reviews.

Fridge Repair

Repair techs show up in track pants, tell you they know the problem and can fix it for $320.00. You pay them as their debit machine is already in their palm waiting and then you get a $2000.00 repair bill after they poke their pens around the fridge and try to remove the ice maker scratching the unit in the process. Unprofessional, untrained and unethical.

Be warned!

Washing Machine Repair

Warning! Do not hire this company. Unprofessional Technician and very poor Customer Service. Paid $333 for a problem assessment that was no more than checking the drain pipe. The Tech told me I needed a $610 Control board without performing any diagnostics. When I asked him to write on the invoice what diagnostics he performed, he would not do so. When I decided not go ahead with the repair based on my lack of confidence that this would solve the problem, he left without returning the washer to its original location.

Dishwash Repair

Do not work with this company, they are swindlers. Paid $400 to diagnose a leak in my dishwasher. Got quoted another $900 for a part. Took a look myself, turns out the hose was just loose. Customer service is appalling when trying to deal with them. Stay away.

Maytag Range

I would NEVER deal with this company again. They came in to repair an error reading on my 2 week old Maytag stove, told me it was a faulty sensor and asked me to order the part. Took 45 miutes to tell me there was nothing could be done without a new sensor board.
I then called Maytag repair to get the part, and they sent a guy out to have a look, and he found a flattened wire, repaired it and was done in 15 minutes. FREE under my warranty.
I then called the ATeam back to get a refund and was basically told forget about it. They did nothing, they made the wrong diagnosis and it cost me $372.00. They never told me I could get it done free by a Maytag repair person.
Horrible service, and a complete lack of any ethics.

Terrible customer service

I called this place at 10:45 as I had water all over my kitchen floor from the fridge. Then called at 11:20 to cancel as I fixed problem. They insisted I pay them for the dispatch. When repairman came at 1:30 he said it took him 30 minutes to come. So they had ample time to cancel the dispatch. Terrible money grab and terrible customer service .call anyone but these people

disreputable

quoted very high rates for 3 parts for Wolf oven and Liebehrr fridge. I was told parts should be receievd in 3-4 weeks. After 1 month I called. They said there was a problem because they didnt have the model#. How could the technician have given me a quote then? Then they asked me to find the model#. I said I couldn't move oven, they needed to send the technician, which they did.
The parts finally arrived and installed 3 months after first inspection of appliances. During this time I called for updates and was treated very rudely. They blamed "supply chain". They never followed up as requested.
Within 2 minutes of technicians departure after doing "repair" I noticed the timer/clock panel was stuck in open position. Usually it can be closed as well. I immediately called the office and they had the techs come back - under a few minutes. He casually said "oh yeah, when we do this repair it can break the spring on the panel door, it will cost you $1,500.00. He recommended that I should "live with it because the part is so expensive."
I was shocked and said "if you knew this why didnt you tell me this would happen?" Answer, "well ma'am, these things happen." And how did he so handily know the spring would cost $1,500?
I called office again and they pretended to be sympathetic and said maybe there would be a warranty. They put me on hold for a few minutes then came back to say because the technicians returned to check on broken panel, that was the warranty! To make matters worse, an hour later, the clock display went blank. It usually displayed constantly. I figured out if I press "clock" the time would display for a minute then go blank again. The technician said nothing of the clock function being affected, just the spring.
At this point I was furious and demanded that they fully replace the timer/clock panel free of charge. I do not thrust their technicians or policies. WHy say this happens during a repair process whitout warning a client they would incur extra expense? I believe the technician broke the spring in their handling of the oven door.
During one call to customer service one "nice" person suggested she could look into getting the part free of charge and she would get back to me. 2 weeks later I called to follow up. I got another person who said "ma'am we never have free parts'". They would not accept any responsibility in breaking the part or coming up with an appropriate solution.
What about honesty, reliability, professionalism? They don't care.
They will take advantage of you particularly if you are a woman.
Oh - when the technicians were doing the work on the oven they had to remove the door and cook top. They plunked them on top of my light coloured marble. I asked them to put something underneath the parts to protect the marble. they looked at me blankly, "oh ma'am we don't have anything". I ran to find a towel.

Dishwasher problem

We got them in for a leaky dishwasher and as far as we can see it was fixed, but the drain was improperly connected so it popped off. We have spent the next week talking to customer service people and manager Ilona and they keep saying they have to refer it to the warranty dept and they never get back to them, so they can't send a person for literally 2 minutes work to reconnect the drain. The dishwasher is still not usable. Apparently customer service is not a priority for them. This is the first time we have made a complaint in 35 years of home ownership.

Fridge Repair

This was their 5th visit in 11 months to fix the same fridge. After the first 4 visits and over $2000 spent the fridge would work for a few months. The last time it didn't. The repairman had no idea what to do, but made me pay upfront $360 and verbally guaranteed he will fix it. After the "work" was done, the compressor was still pumping hot air. The guy said we need to wait up to 48 hrs. We did. No luck. Called the company and they offered to replace a compressor for $1900 plus labor and taxes. Refused to refund the $360 we've just paid for nothing, or at least to apply it towards the new compressor. Stay away from them!

Range hood microwave

This company send me someone who doesn't know anything. He came unprepared to start with and when he try to put it back together the way he found it he couldn't do it, he keep putting it back uneven, the he decided to cut the a piece off so he can put it back. The worst part he completely diagnose the problem wrong. The company charges me $300 from damage my microwave. This company knows their technician don't know anything about fixing appliances but they send them out because as soon as they open anything, they perform a Labour Work. I have never experience company like this one At all. Do not go with this company.
