This started out really positive. They called me to say that they could do a move from Gatineau to Whitby within our short time frame ie the week of August 22nd. In fact, they had the ability to move him on August 20th at a discount because they had another move between Toronto and Ottawa and would work for them. They asked that I commit as quickly as possible to hold this discounted date (from 1800 to 1100). I confirmed with my son it would work for that date and time of 9:30 am. He arranged to have his sister and brother in law available to assist him that date. He booked the VIA train home for later on August 20th. We arranged to have his brothers available on this end to receive the moving truck when it arrived. We paid a $300 deposit to reserve the movers. I went on holiday thinking everything was great. Then I get an email asking if we can change the date of the move to the 22nd instead. The guy I spoke to (Sidney) messed up the dates of the other truck and Monday was better for them. I had to deal with this on my vacation with terrible cell service. I told them that it was really inconvenient after arranging to have people available and buying a ticket to the VIA train. I asked if there was any way we could get a better deal given we were going to be doing all the rearranging of our plans! I heard nothing. For 24 hours. Until I messaged them back and got an email saying "I have been working the whole previous day to come up with a solution. Please call me". The solution was the same, move on Monday. SO it took them 24 hours to come up with zero solution. Again, I said can you offer compensation for the train? a discount on the move? Nothing. So I told them I wanted a refund of my $300 so I could find another mover. Now home after cancelling my vacation to figure out how to get him moved. So disappointing. I would never use them and never recommend them. Too bad for them since I know of at least 3 people moving in the next year, including myself, that could have brought them some business.

Don't be fooled by the fancy website and the affordable 'estimate',
the price will end up higher and your furniture will not be treated with respect. For our move the Company didn't show up, even though I re-confirmed the day before and paid a deposit to secure the reservation. After 5 hours they sent an apartment size truck for our 4 bedroom house (half the size of the truck I reserved). Terrible service, did not wrap anything, damaged many items including grease and blood on my new couch and mattress. The move took way longer than it should have since the truck had to make 2 trips, so I paid for a 10 hour move instead of what should have been about 7, and they refused to apply the deposit against the bill. A month later and still no return of deposit, and they will not return my calls or respond to my emails.

Get Movers has zero integrity and absolutely DESTROYED our belongings. Throughout the entire process, the customer service representatives, on site crew members, as well as company supervisors intentionally misguide customers and then do not return calls/emails. A complete failure in customer support. The company was notified that there was a fight between the crew members at origin that resulted in our belongings being thrown from the truck in a dispute based on lack of loading experience. The crew arrived completely unprepared with limited packing supplies and asked the customers to supply packing wrap. Not to mention the cigarette burns in our couch cushions from the crew smoking in the truck. The crew mentioned the truck from not packed properly and that he would better wrap our belongings once unloaded at the warehouse so that they could be better protects while in storage; however, this never happened. Absolutely zero respect. Completely unprofessional. The crew leader as well as a company supervisor was made aware of the damages as they were inspected and unloaded from the truck at the destination. The crew was late. We were told that there was nothing Get Movers could do because the office was closed, but don't worry since they have insurance, and to call customer service the following morning at 10AM for further instruction rather than directing us to the proper company protocols. Get Movers said we never notified the company of any damages, which ultimately resulted in our claim being denied. The allegation that we did not notify the company of damages is absolutely false as the mishandling, lack of care and respect for our belongings was acknowledged by customer service from the point of origin. This company is untrustworthy.

These people are always great to work with! I used GetMovers twice now and every time they leave me truly impressed. Their movers are always polite, careful and most importantly professional. They really care about their customers and always make sure that there are no issues during the move. This is the second time Im very happy with the services I received from them and I wont stop using this company!

These guys were super quick and super professional. I called them in the morning to ask for the services on the same day and they were able to find me a team within 20 minutes. In 3 hours they were at my pickup location helping me move some items that urgently needed to be moved. The guys were strong, fast and professional. I would absolutely hire them next time I need any moving services!

We were very happy with our move and the movers, they showed up on time and were fully prepared. They were very friendly and hardworking. We were very pleased with the speed they had in moving us out and into our new home. Even though they were fast, nothing got damaged on the way. Great moving company!

We had a great experience with this moving company from start till the end! 2 gentlemen that helped move us were very professional and customer service representatives were always responsive and helpful. It was a smooth, no-stress move!

These guys are incredible! They were polite and very professional. I had a lot of large pieces of furniture that needed to be moved to upstairs and they handled everything like pros. I would definitely book them for any future moving tasks. Thank you for making this experience stress free!

David and his crew were terrific! They were punctual, professional and handled our furniture with extra care. We used another moving company in the past and they damaged our furniture and the walls, this did not happen with GetMovers. Our items were safely packed and safely delivered to our new home. They also helped us with the arrangement of furniture and reassembled the pieces of furniture that needed to be reassembled

The truck sent for the move has openings in it which allowed the rain to come in during the long distance drive as well as the overnight storage. Instead of being able to unpack an elderly relative's belongings over an extended period of time we had to unpack everything immediately to try to limit the water damage and document it. Plastic bins had water pooling on top, paper boxes were soaked from the top and/or bottom, wardrobe boxes we purchased to re-use were no longer usable and contents jumbled as things collapsed. Three pieces of furniture also damaged from impacts during the move. Worst part is that despite contacts via e-mail and text and voice mail this has not be resolved. No one in management has even tried to contact me so I am not filing reviews wherever I can to advise others to be aware of what they might be dealing with. My first use of this company went well but the second did not so consistency is a problem as is the ineffective management.
