Prime Appliance Repairs

I've used them multiple times, referred them to a number of friends, and have previously left a 5-star review. Most recently, my agitator was loose, and it was recommended I replace two parts. Unfortunately, after they were replaced, oil started leaking into the drum and all over my clothes. They promptly sent the technician back, he cleaned it, and after two washes, the problem resurfaced.

I reached out to their customer service team via email and chat, expressing my concerns and seeking a resolution. I'm pleased to report that they have since contacted me, and we've worked together to find a fair outcome.

Excellent professional service by Eugene. Refrigerator water leakage and fan noise problem diagnosed quickly and fixed.

My fridge was leaking water and we were very tensed. Prime Appliance Repair fixed the fridge and everything worked fine.

I recently used the Prime appliance repair and I am beyond impressed with their service. The technician Eugene was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my washer and fixed it in no time and went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with the repair and even provided me with maintenance tips to prevent future problems. The company's customer service was also top-notch, even from the service over the phone, scheduling the appointment. FOR YOUR SAKE PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM.

I booked them on the 24 Dec 2022, Gatluak came on the 26th to repair the oven( we had taken the door apart to clean it and couldnt put it together again) . He obviously hadnt a clue but continued. Switching pieces back and forth, ( asking me if I had taken photos while I was taking it apart - which was a good idea of course ) he unscrewed the oven door without securing it, had it slam shut. Fortunately we were able to find the screws that flew over the floor. He didnt take the door off. Which I suggested. Then he broke the side bar. Casually Added it to the bill!!! 100$ charged was charged that day. He Promised to bring the part on the 27th and come at 5 pm. He called at 10 minutes to 5 on the 27th and said- he didnt realize the office was closed. Couldnt get the part.( he realized the office was closed 10 minutes before the appointment ) Kept us waiting till almost 5 pm to give this pathetic excuse.

Then said he will do his best to come on the 28th morning. I made it clear that I would be in my clinic from 3 pm. So it had to be done before that. I didnt get any news that morning so I called at about 12 pm. Gatluak didnt answer but said hed call me back ASAP - through a text message. Then he called me at 4 pm. I was with a patient I was unable to pick up. Since then he has been avoiding my calls.

I finally called the main line to ask what was going on. Michael said he would escalate it to have Gatluak call me early the next day.

This didnt happen so I called back the next afternoon. I was told that he would come on the 3 Jan 2023 1400-1830. In keeping with what is his norm, he called just before 1700 to tell me he cant make it. Again forcing us to waste an entire afternoon.

The best is about how much he charged ME for the part HE broke. Initially it was 25$ then 35$ all the time telling me he was doing me a big favour by not charging me full price for the part he broke .

On the first day he said I would have to pay 100$ and another 190$ the next day. I guess he saw me in my scrubs on the last day so the price jumped by 100$- he charged my wife 277 $ on the final day. The discounted part which he broke was finally changed to 75$. First $25 then, $35 then $75.

The total he told me it was going to be $290( including the $100 paid) he told me twice that I would have to pay $ 190 the next day.
What was finally charged was a total of $377.88 ! I guess he figured that I earn enough money so overcharging me is ok?

They have no respect for you or your time. They cant be trusted financially and theyll charge you for the parts they brake during the repair process. If you still want to hire them, I wish you all the best and I hope you will be treated more honestly and better than I was. Have a wonderful 2023.

Our fridge broke down, they were efficient to squeeze us in within that morning for diagnosing the issue however we realized after we were severely overcharged for parts (labour was separate), we were charged $175 for a motor (actually $50) and $120 for a thermostat sensor (actually $30). Made it seem as though it was expensive and showed us on a website but really after looking up the part ourselves, realized they were so much cheaper. I should have trusted my gut when I didnt think they were being upfront. Efficient, and quick but beware of being severely overcharged for parts.

Emailed them on December 24th at 11:30 at night as my oven stopped working that morning and I had to borrow neighbour's oven to cook Christmas eve dinner. Amazed I got a call early Christmas morning and a service call scheduled for December 26th. My oven was totally repaired by 12:30 pm and the technician (Gatjiak) went way out of his way to get replacement parts so it was fixed the same day as the service call.

I really wished I read all the reviews before calling Prime Appliance Repairs. Same thing happened to me, they took my money without giving me a proper diagnostic report of the problem. The repair man gave the obvious that my freezer was icing up coving the fan that prevents the fridge to cool however required an additional $300 to defrost my fridge and give proper diagnoses. I asked if I can defrost it myself, & him come back and he said that it would be an additional services charge. Funny cause I called another company located in Maple, ON and he diagnose the problem over the phone. I cant believe how in competent Prime Appliance Repair people are. Just Beware.

Please read this, which will help you make decision if you are considering hiring Prime Appliance Repairs to repair your appliance. Dealing with this company was difficult and unpleasant based on my recent experience.

I had this company to repair my washer, which failed to drain water, on March 22, 2021. The repair costed me about $400. The company warranted the repair by 6 months. Less than two months later, the washer failed to drain water again.

I called the company, the repair technician argued that the not-draining problem is most likely caused by improper use of the washer, or the pump needed to be replaced. he can come to inspect it, but I must pay the inspection fee $90, plus the cost of parts, and plus the cost of repair.
I was very upset. What a perfect trick he uses to make more money, in the meantime to void his responsible.

Be on your guard! Think twice before you hire Prime Appliance Repairs to repair your appliances! Rather than draining water, my washer became very good at draining money after the company’s repair!

I have attached two pictures of the work done by the company. One of the pictures is the washer before repair, another one with less water is the washer after repair. Both pictures show that the washer did not drain water. Please judge for yourself.

fridge not cold , George the repair guy opened up the back of the fridge, vacuumed the dust and left. Charged me $90 + tax for diagnostics and $90 for the vacuuming ...says if this doesn't fix the problem then buy a new fridge. The problem didn't get any better, I ended up buying a new fridge ... ...Debris and front kickplate of fridge left laying on the ground...seemed like he was in a rush. In and out of here within 20 minutes. Got a partial refund after complaining..
