Do NOT use this company, I wish I had read the reviews. $280 seems to be the magic amount, that's what we paid + tax and the two left burners on our stove top still don't work. I was told that a further $250 would be required with no guarantee that the back burner on our stove could be fixed and after telling the tech to remove the $45 fuse he put in to make the front burner work, I replaced it and surprise, surprise, the front burner doesn't work. When I called I was initially told the snr tech would call me back. When I didn't hear from him 2 days later, I called and was told that they couldn't guarantee the part I put in which was a fuse and that the senior tech doesn't take calls or talk to customers on the phone. So if I had spent what they were asking in total $650 w/tax and no guarantee, my two front burners on my stove might be working today. Have you priced a new stove recently, you can buy a pretty decent one for $650. I should have done my homework, if you're thinking about calling this company, think again!

I don't know what I would have done had Appliance Repair Guys not come in and fixed my oven. I use my oven almost every day and having it break down almost made me cry. Thankfully, when I made the call to Appliance Repair Guys, they were quick to set up an appointment to come in immediately to repair it. They were professional and prompt as when they arrived on-time to my home, they went straight to work to try and find the source of my oven's malfunction. Once they did, they explained the issue in a clear and concise way for me to understand. Best of all, their price was affordable and fairly matched the work that was done. Thank you all for repairing a fairly important appliance in my life!

I would not recommend this company. $90 just to come to my house - fine. The technician identified the problem (new seal boot required), and gave me a quote of about $500 for labour and parts. I confirmed with him that, should I decide to use their services, the initial $90 that I had just paid would be deducted from the $500. The same week, I called to book someone for the repair and asked for a quote for labour only. I was told by the Manager that I would now be expected to pay $90 again for the visit, plus $25/10 minutes for the repair. I explained that this struck me as unfair and illogical, since I had clarified before this point with her staff, and since he did not have the part at the time and would have had to make a second visit anyway. She said that I must have misunderstood the technician - which I did not, my question was as simple as it was clear -, and would not change her quote. I felt this company was gouging me and not standing by its word; not my idea of good customer service or fair practice. Needless to say, I did not use their services, nor will I ever do so again.

DON'T CALL APPLIANCE REPAIR GUYS. I called Appliance Repair Guys and I fully explained issue I was having with my washing machine. Water wasn't draining out. I was told that it would cost $80 for technician to come out and diagnose problem. The technician came over and said he was confident he could fix the machine. He told me there was a flat rate fee of $280 plus taxes. No parts were replaced. The washing machine operated for a couple of weeks and then broke down again with the same issue. Called Appliance Repair Guys a second time and I was told I needed a new pump and it would cost $450 to repair. Why wasn't this information provided at first visit? I have declined the second repair and will never contact this company again. I feel very misled and ripped off.

My family will forever be in debt to this appliance repair company. When our family realized that our washing machine broke down, we knew it needed to get fixed immediately. Thankfully, Appliance Repair Guys were there for us. They were extremely professional when we gave them a call for our washing machine. They quickly set up an appointment to see us the next day, came on-time to our home like stated earlier, and fixed our machine that same day. What we appreciated most of all from their services was how transparent they were. They took the time to outline what they suspected caused our machine breakdown and what steps would be needed to repair them. Best of all, they outlined to me the reasoning behind the price. Thank you all for the great job you've done for our family.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The tech stated it was the timer and would cost $280.00 plus $75.00 for parts, I refused stating it was too much for an older dryer, the tech said he probably could keep it under $220.00 and I agreed to that. Long story short he handed me a broken belt and said he didn't have a belt that fit so he couldn't repair the dryer. He told me my husband could go to Canadian Tire, buy the right sized belt and fix it himself. Bottom line is we're out $90.00 and still have a broken dryer.

Definitely recommend the professional and expert repair services at Appliance Repair Guys. Within 24 hours of my call to this business, I had them at my doorstep, ready to address the issues with my fridge. They took the time to examine my fridge thoroughly and once they identified the problem, made sure to clearly tell me what steps they would do to fix it. All in all, they did a great job, provided excellent services at an affordable rate, and I can't thank Appliance Repair Guys for their help.

Wish I'd read the reviews here before I called them. Said $80 for service call + part cost for my broken dryer. Turned out that $80 didn't include actually doing much. I agreed to pay $280 for a diagnosis. Then another $95 for a heating coil which is what I asked to be replaced in the first place. Then they only accepted cash or debit. With HST $423.75 for a repair that should have been under $200. At least my dryer works now which is a better result than many other posters here received.

Do not use this company. I called them first and asked what the cost would be to repair a leaking fridge. ($80) When the repairman arrived he looked at the fridge and said the cost to repair the leaking as well as ice build-up in the freezer part of the fridge would be $280 plus tax. After I signed the work order he proceeded to attemp repair. He succeeded in breaking the freezer light cover and then tried to glue it back. (unsuccesfully). He was unable to remove the back cover from the freezer and used a steamer to defrost the ice buildup in the bottom half only. He then opened the bottom of the fridge, cut something off the water line, and then stated that I would need a new water line which he would order and then would have to come back to install for an additional $209+ tax. Today I opened the freezer and the ice has built up all over the freezer. Nothing was repaired and I was duped out of $316 for no repairs. When I called to voice my dissatisfaction I was told I signed the work order and I would have to order the parts and pay for the part 1/2 up front and have the repair person come back and install it. So basically, I paid for the repair guy to come in, break my light cover, cut my water line and take my money! Never will I use this company or recommend them to anyone. I called another repair company and they had also heard about this company's practice of charging a flat $280 the minute they step into your home and then charging more fees. I trust a repair company to be fair but that was not the case here. I feel sabotaged!

Having my range hood break down was one of many things I did not want to happen on a Wednesday night unfortunately. Given that I like to cook when I'm sad, I gave this appliance repair company a call ASAP. Thankfully, they got the job done as quickly as they did. Within 3 days, they were able to come to my home, diagnose and repair the range hood, and charge me fairly for the repairs. Best of all, they did this with a professional and courteous manner, truly providing me the excellent customer service I needed. Thank you for a great job.
