Windows By Installer

I received estimates from several window installers and WBI was one of the most reasonable. Alex seemed to know a lot about windows and was helpful when trying to decide who to chose. I asked many questions.
Had to postpone installation several times due to unrelated circumstances and they were very flexible.
The installation went very smoothly and was completed in a few hours (less time than I figured). They added pieces of Azec (sp?) around the windows primarily for cosmetic reasons which was unplanned. They did not charge me for this which they could easily have. They also replaced some wood around some other windows in the house that had small areas of rot. Clean up was excellent.
I would definitely consider using them again. Alex and his crew were easy to deal with.

After seeing Windows by Installers listing and good rating, I contacted Dave to have 4 windows replaced in our older house. After calling him directly we quickly scheduled a meeting. Dave showed up promptly. He is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. I was interested in the acoustic windows. Dave took the window measurements, showed me some brochures, and suggested I go see the various Harvey windows at the Burlington showroom to choose a model, which was a great idea. I saw the acoustic windows, liked them, and called Dave back to give him my choice. He emailed a concise contract which I signed and mailed to him with a deposit check. Then I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, called him, and no worries, the windows were on order and he would call me when they finally came in. Sure enough, just after the holidays he called back, and we scheduled the install time. He showed up right on time with a crew of two. They put down some floor mats, moved and covered furniture with plastic, and got right to work. Two hours later all four windows were replaced, floors vacuumed, furniture put back, all neat and clean. They also removed the old windows and waste. The new windows are spectacular and I'm very satisfied.

I had six windows replaced in an old 3-family home in Central Toronto. I was very pleased with Daves professionalism from start to finish. I was surprised to find that not just Dave came in to do the work, but so did the other owner of the business, Alex, and a couple of other men. They were a team that seemed to work very efficiently and effectively together. As estimated, they came in around 8 a.m. and were completed and out by 11:30. They cleaned up whatever mess was made and took all the scraps and old windows away. I was happy to find that they even touched up with paint wherever it was needed. I would definitely consider using Windows by Installer in the future and would be happy to recommend their services to others.

We had almost 12 old windows. Some (with storm windows) and some sliders (most of them broken) and wanted to get them replaced to make the house warmer and safer for our kids. We also had 2 rotted drafty side doors and a patio slider. Since this was a large project (large for us as least since this is our first home) and we were not 100% what we are doing Dave came out twice to consult and give an estimate. He is a very personable local contractor with great ethics. This was important to us.
He accommodated our schedule with the installation once the Windows were in. The whole crew (Dave, Oleg and the team) came for 2 days and they did everything. Since the old sliders didn't have a trim, they put a trim around the new windows outside so it fits with the house and the other windows.
They were very accommodating and professional. Protected the work area and cleaned up after themselves. I am happy to recommend Windows by Installer for anyone considering window or door work.

Windows By Installer did a fantastic job from start to finish. Dave did the estimate and helped us make decisions about the type of window, whether we wanted grids, etc. He had great suggestions that I think helped preserve some of the character of our home. He also suggested that we go to the Harvey Showroom to see the windows in person, which was helpful. The actual job of replacing the windows was done in about 8 or 9 hours (about 6 hours the first day and 2.5 hours the next day). Amazingly efficient! Dave, Alex, and their team have a great system, and the whole process went incredibly smoothly. They were professional, neat, and pleasant. They moved large pieces of furniture where necessary and even took out an old window air conditioner and put it in our basement. They touched up the paint (where necessary) on the inside of the window frames. (They would have done the same thing on the outside, but unfortunately we didn't have the right color.) They cleaned up after the work was done and hauled all the old windows away. I was kind of dreading having the actual work done, but it was painless for us, and we're VERY happy with the new windows, which have already made a difference (rooms are warmer, less street noise). I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs windows replaced.

Alex was very prompt and professional He followed through on all commitments. The crew he brought was courteous and completed the job with a minimum of disruption and mess. Alex supervised all aspects of the job. We were skeptical that all 10 windows could be completed in one day but they finished a couple of hours early. No surprises during the job that added to the bottom line (as we have had with some contractors) We have had no reason to call them back, everything went is as we hoped. Alex had experience and was very helpful working with us on the Energy Savings program. I would definitely recommend Windows By Installer for anyone looking to replace their windows.

This team was awesome! And fast (only took them 2 days)! They did such a wonderful job with the new windows. Our interior trim was not harmed, the windows and exterior wrapping were meticulously installed and look wonderful. We've had the windows for over a year and don't have a single complaint. The windows are great, the people we worked with were honest, on time, and did a very nice job. I would definitely recommend Windows BY Installer to everyone who is looking for the best deal in town but also value great quality.

I found Windows by Installer through online and was pleased to have a great experience with them from start to finish. Oleg called me back promptly after receiving my online inquiry and was quick to get a quote back to me and answer my subsequent questions. The installation was on the 4 week end of the 4-6 week turnaround time estimate, which I was thrilled about.
The team all showed up early for the job and they got the entire house done in less than 4 hours. Oleg is extremely professional and clearly sets a good example for the crew, as they were all very professional as well.
I contacted 6-8 companies for window estimates, most of which I found through the yellow pages. I was disappointed that a couple of highly rated people never responded to me. I suspect it was because I listed 'storm windows' as the job. It sounds like small potatoes before you learn that we have an entire house to renovate. We will definitely be calling Oleg back to bid on our upcoming renovation.

Right from the start he demonstrated excellent customer service skills. He listened carefully to our design plan and budget concerns and worked with us to provide the perfect solution.
On installation day Alex and his crew proved why they are so highly rated on Homestars. They showed up on schedule and got to work right away. Alex and his crew were extremely courteous, clean, and conscientious about their work process. When they finished, the house looked as if nothing had happened that day, except that the house was now outfitted with great looking windows and a front door that triggered many compliments from our neighbors.
We will definitely be contacting them again for future house projects, and we highly recommend them without reservations to anyone who might be considering replacing their windows or remodeling their house. My wife and I only wish we had found them earlier.

Dave walked us through each step and made clear recommendations along the way. Since we had lead weighted windows, we ensured he was certified and experienced in working with this type of window. He wasn't pushy or eager to recommend a higher priced window - he simply took into consideration our ideas and made us comfortable with our decisions. He recommended that we visit their showroom in Burlington (we did) to help us in our decision making process. His team was punctual, professional, clean and efficient.
