Windows By Installer did a fantastic job from start to finish. Dave did the estimate and helped us make decisions about the type of window, whether we wanted grids, etc. He had great suggestions that I think helped preserve some of the character of our home. He also suggested that we go to the Harvey Showroom to see the windows in person, which was helpful. The actual job of replacing the windows was done in about 8 or 9 hours (about 6 hours the first day and 2.5 hours the next day). Amazingly efficient! Dave, Alex, and their team have a great system, and the whole process went incredibly smoothly. They were professional, neat, and pleasant. They moved large pieces of furniture where necessary and even took out an old window air conditioner and put it in our basement. They touched up the paint (where necessary) on the inside of the window frames. (They would have done the same thing on the outside, but unfortunately we didn't have the right color.) They cleaned up after the work was done and hauled all the old windows away. I was kind of dreading having the actual work done, but it was painless for us, and we're VERY happy with the new windows, which have already made a difference (rooms are warmer, less street noise). I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs windows replaced.
