WINDOW BY INSTALLERS WERE AT OUR HOUSE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. THE TIME IT TOOK TO INSTALL THE WINDOWS WAS EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID. THE CAULKING WAS DONE VERY NEATLY, NO DEBRIS WAS LEFT AND WE DID NOT HAVE ANY AIR SEEPING INTO OUR HOUSE AFTER INSTALLATION. THE OWNER DID OUR QUOTATION AND WE FOUND HIM VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WAS ABLE TO HELP US MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS NOT ONLY ON PRICE BUT APPEARANCE.

The whole experience went very well. Alex was our salesman. He came and met me at our home after work, and discussed what we wanted and the variety in pricing for different types. We then met him at the showroom so that we could see the window first hand. Throughout the process he was very professional and easy to work with. Their pricing was not the lowest, and not the highest, but we felt that they were the most cost competitive. My spouse has a little bit of a background in windows, and they were able to answer all the specific questions asked. We received the windows we wanted at a good price. The installation process went very well. The guys were very professional, and meticulous in their work. They cleaned up after themselves, and put things back where they belonged. In an older home I know that everything is not square, and they had to work to make sure things fit properly, but they took the time to do the job right. The only negative was they left some of the cigarette butts on the ground outside, but that was very minor, after we mentioned it to them they apologized and quickly cleaned it up. Everything was very professional. They were on time, neat, and professional.

I was very pleased with Window by installer overall. The staff was very friendly, yet professional. Everything happened just as they said it would initially. I noticed a defect in one of the windows and a scratch on one of the sashes after installation. I called their office immediately and was reassured that they would take care of the issue. A new window was ordered. Unfortunately, when the sales person brought the replacement out, it did not have the lock on the window. The sales person said they would have to reorder the window. So I waited for a month or more to check on it, as the initial order took about a month to come in. When i called, I found out that the window didn't need to be reordered. The sales person hadn't returned the window to the office. An installer just needed to transfer the lock from the defective window to the replacement window. Once that misunderstanding was cleared up, an appointment was made to transfer the lock. The installer did a great job.

The salesman, Alex, was very professional and discussed our options at length. He did not pressure us to buy and most importantly did not put down the competition. We were looking for a well established company with an experienced installation crew. This company has a good crew. They were courteous, respected the space and were done in a timely manner. I will definitely call on them to replace the remaining windows in our house.

We found Windows by Installers on Homestars. They had great reviews and we felt that we would get a balance of quality and value. From the first quote to our installation which happened today we couldn't be happier. The quote was competitive and we picked an expensive fibreglass door and have a huge bay window at the front of our house that needed replacing. The timelines provided were exact and the installation crew were fantastic! I wouldn't hesitate using Windows by Installers when we are ready to replace the rest of the windows in our house.

Alex was willing to sit down with us to understand what we wanted and considered the limitations imposed by covenants in our neighborhood. He offered suggestions that made sense -- and made us feel comfortable that the decisions we made were the right decisions for us and our situation. In the end, we replaced all our windows with Restoration vinyl clad windows which were scheduled to be installed while we were on Winter Break with our daughter so we got to watch the installation.
The install crew (Mike, Oleg, and Chris) arrived as scheduled -- even calling to let us know they were caught in traffic and running a few minutes behind the first day. After a quick walk around, they explained how they would like to proceed and immediately set about getting the job done. As one window was removed, another was set in place. The crew was personable and welcomed our questions about "how" the windows differed from the ones coming out and how they installed them to make sure the best fit was created, which included making sure supporting structures were sound and that the install included proper insulation and caulking to insure against air infiltration from openings around the frame. The replacement doors were like the ones we took out -- same leaded glass pattern on the full view glass and sidelights. Mike even helped me remove the decorative glass inserts from the doors we were replacing because I wanted to keep them for future use in other projects. There was some sill damage at both door openings and Mike repaired it before setting the new doors.
We noticed on the first day that the crew worked through lunch, so we served Pizza Hut on day two. We felt very fortunate that the crew was willing to stop for a while to eat with us and it gave us the chance to get to know them personally while thanking them for a job well done!
Our new windows and doors look fantastic! When we wanted to change a couple details (add full screens, instead of half screens; have blinds between the window panes, etc.), they took care of these without a problem. And, did we mention that the installation crew even re-installed our window coverings when they finished the job? OUTSTANDING SERVICE!

Estimate process was excellent. We had some very bad experiences with other companies prior to Window by Installer. I was leery of the high sales pitch that might come and the pressure that day. However, Window by Installer exceeded my expectations during this process. I set the expectations early that we have alot of windows in this house and we only want to do the ones with the most damage. Oleg came out and did an estimate, nothing high pressure whatsoever. He showed several different windows, much more reasonably priced and what we expected. We walked that evening with an estimate. My wife and I talked it over and called them a few weeks later to do the job. Oleg was as professional as they come. I really enjoyed working with him.

I initially did my homework and visited four or five different showrooms around the city. I then went through the contractors on Homestars and identified four contractors that could do the job. I then talked with three of the contractors. I got on the internet and compared the specifications of the sliding glass doors each contractor was providing. I then compared the contractors based on cost, professionalism and experience of installing the sliding glass doors. I concluded that Windows by Installer was the better of the contractors I reviewed. I scheduled an appointment to have the sliding glass door installed. I was called two weeks early that the sliding glass door was received and scheduled to have the door installed immediately. They arrived as scheduled and did an outstanding job of installing the door. I was completely satisfied with the new sliding glass door. The main thing I learned was the importance of having qualified personnel installing the door.

Everyone from WindowbyInstaller was very good and professional. They really aim to please. They helped us go through all the window features and pick the best ones out that fit our needs. They made great suggestions like replace the double windows over our sink with one big window that would me much more striking. They were right. Because of the number of windows, the installation took 3 days. They did a great job of installing the windows keeping my existing window frames inside the house intact. They did a great job of repair nail pops and cleaning up after themselves. At the end of the installation, WindowbyInstaller made sure I was completely satisfied. They reordered a window that had slight damage to it. They came back to fix up some caulking that had some gaps after drying. These guys have been great with replacing windows that weren't perfect. Two had some damage to the wood and one had a handle that would not stay on. The manufacturer will be delivering to me 2 additional windows. I am sure they will be perfect!
