Got an advertisement for $129.95 for whole house. That included sanitization brush cleaning etc. Guy came in and did all the work in 30 minutes. My house is 2 year old and while cleaning they made a mess with every vent.

They placed no barrier between furnance and duct. So eventually all of the house dust settled on furnace. They started to ask for more money to clean furnace and A/C otherwise they would leave it alone. They wanted to charge $100 more to 'service' the furnace and A/C which took 5 minute only. None the less we agreed on $200 and they cleaned everything.

After reading the reviews it seems that its a normal course of rip off that they do with every customer.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT ADVERTISE real company name and simply advertise with above name as well.

I had the company come out to service my rental property. They wanted a credit card ahead, which I provide, with instructions to do only what was advertised in the flyer. After the service call, I got billed $200 above what I requested. After discussion about services provided that I did not request, we agreed to split the difference. I have been trying to request my refund for over 6 weeks now. Jessie, the person who books appointments, has hung up on me for calling so often. I am just trying to sort the issue. I cannot even get an itemized invoice for the work done. Jason does not return calls & there is no owner to speak to. I am now starting adispute with the credit card company & want a full refund. Do not use this company for duct cleaning because their costumer service & followup is awful.

I am one of the 20,000 customers, the Vacumax manager always mention in his response below the negative reviews and I do support these negative reviews. Mine is negative too and I whish I had read these reviews before I had called this service.
My duct cleaning was done yesterday, Sept 01 by two men. It took them not more than 25 min. to "clean" the ducts, while the shcheduler told me it will take "an hour". The advertisment, based on which I has scheduled the service had 5 items (procedures) included in the package. Out of these, two were not done at all and one was done 50%":
a) The power brushing of the vents was not done at all. The reason was explained to me by one of the guys - "the brush is broken";
b) The herbal sanitizing was not done at all;
c) The intake vents on the second floor were not cleaned at all - I noticed this after the men left.
I also doubt that they have done air scraping of the main lines, because when I checked them with wet colth (using the opening for the vacuum), the cloth got dirty.
Well, I just left a notice to Jason - their customer survice manager, who today (Sept 02) is off because of the long weekend. Will see what will happen next week.
Overall assessement: Poor service, not corresponding to the company promises (advertisment).
The bottom line is: STAY AWAY OF VACUMAX.

Exactly same scenario as below. I wish I would have read through reviews here before I called and hired them. I received a coupon for 129.95 and 6/ea additional. Barrie local phone number on the coupon so I thought they are from local. Called and got a call back to book for an appointment. Jesse and another guy came in from Mississauga spending 20 minutes and told me that 24 ducts had been done yesterday. As I just had a new born baby so I didn’t walk all over with them so I really doubt they went to basement to clean the duct there. Jesse then tried to make me believe I had an extreme green mold problem in my AC coil. If I got them cleaned, it would be 400. If they came back, it would be 600. So I phoned my husband at work, my husband consulted with his coworker and told me no. So I phoned a local AC company to check my AC today, the tech from the local company told me my AC coil is clean as it should be, and opened the AC coil and showed me. I paid 1 hour labor to check up my AC. I tried to phone the customer service number printed on the receipt and heard to send an email to address. So I thought it is not worth my time to fight with them. Be aware of this dishonest company!

They then proceeded to tell me about how I had an extreme mold problem in my air conditioning coils and everytime I turned on my furnace that I was pumping very very dangerous amounts of mold through my house. I had no idea and got scared . He gave me a cash price to fix it then and there !! If he came back it would be $400. needless to say I got ripped off. They said they did some sort of thing out side which once again, one guy distracted me while the other wandered off and then comes back and says all done and asks for money. My husband came home freaked out...called numerous times BUT OF COURSE THEY WILL NOT CALL BACK !! Company is a scam do not use !!”

I hired this company to clean the ducts of a home we just purchased. I explained the ducts had not been cleaned in probably 30 years. There was two gentlemen who showed up on time (8am). One of them proceeded to try to sell us a furnace filter for $150.00 and then reduced it to $100.00. He then tried to talk us into a 5 minute vacuum of our furnace for $90 cash on the side and $75 cash on the side for the air-conditioned. I wonder if his boss knows/?? While he was doing this, the other gentlemen started to clean the ducts. Unfortunately, he had the machine "in reverse" and it blew all the dust and contents of the ducts back into our house. 30 years of dust......black clouds!!! Even though he saw it, he continued to run the machine. I admit, I may have said some colourful words however.......long story short, Dave, the owner, has still not bothered to return my call! It took 6 people 8 hours to remove their mess......I am sure they will respond to this and say it was our "ducts" fault!!! Typical poor business person!

I had my ducts cleaned and the service was poor to say the least. The cleaning was minimal . I had dust balls coming out of the vents for the week after they left. On the way out they damaged my easetrough & never repaired it. They did not return my calls. They take your money and run. BEWARE!

I had Vacumax in yesterday for duct cleaning. Like I think so many other people, after reading the bad reviews I considered cancelling. However after doing some research I felt the reviews were likely scams!
I am more than satisfied with the job and the service I received from the company. The servicemen who came to my home were respectful, helpful and went beyond what they had to do, to do achieve a more than satisfied customer.
I would suggest people really consider how easy it is with these reviews to create problems for a competitive company. It really is a cut throat world out there!

Being Ignored.....waiting for Dave or Jason to get back to me and it's been 5days and left 6 or more messages and no reply. This company has caused a problem and they told me they would have someone to investigate the issue and never showed up. I am giving them a chance to take responsibility for their actions. I will keep you posted.
