Reliable Home Comfort

Our furnace would not function properly and did not reach the desired temperature for several days. We called Reliable Home Comfort for advice and to check our heating system. First we received advice on possible problems we might be encountering and also were able to schedule an immediate appointment later that evening. When Dave and Rob arrived in a timely manner, they were not only courteous and polite but were extremely friendly and helpful. Both gentlemen checked our system, showed us what was wrong and advised us on how to fix the situation in the event it should occur in the future. They cleaned the part (heat valve sensor) and when we expected a bill, Dave told us it was a complimentary service call. We are newcomers to the Brampton area and were pleasantly surprised at the response. We are not only satisfied with the service rendered, we were of course very happy that we did not have to pay for the service call. We chatted a bit after the work was complete and felt very assured that we would have Reliable Home Comfort as our service providers for our furnance and air conditioning needs. We will also very confidently recommend them to our family and friends.

Rob and the team installed a new furnace, AC, and humidifier, as well as new thermostat (equipment was provided by them). They also installed a new water heater tank, which I purchased separately with Rob's help at Home Depot. It was a pleasure communicating with Rob from the initial estimate till the completion of the project. He was always willing to explain all the details and answer all my questions. The guys worked hard and completed this project in one day. The price was also very reasonable. I am very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend them.

Dave the owner is a kind man and sold me on the idea that Reliable Home Comfort earns their business through great customer service. He also conveyed to me that these days for the most part high-efficiency furnaces between vendors are relatively comparable. He also mentioned that the difference between HVAC contractors is in customer service. I'd have to agree with him, and after doing my due diligence I decided to go with Reliable Home Comfort. It has been 4 months and I haven't had any major issues with my Whirlpool furnace (knock on wood).

After the install however, I did have a few issues that cropped up. It took a few callbacks to resolve the issues I identified and afterwards I was left with 2 of my 3 issues resolved.
1) Needed rebate submitted by vendor to make my OPA Claim
2) Chemical / oil-like smell and taste in hot water
3) Water dripping from furnace exhaust pipe directly on my A/C unit

My problem is that customer service has been sparse and I have not spoke to Dave since he made the original sale. Instead I spoke and worked with Rob. Dave is right about customer service being king and I hope Reliable follows through and fixes this issue before my A/C is damaged by the water.

Rob contacted me and apologized for the 3rd issue slipping through the cracks. He asked me how he could rectify the situation and make me a happy customer. I've got to say that Rob was terrific! He not only came by to fix the issue with the exhaust pipe dripping on my furnace, but he also resolved an issue I had with how the humidifier operates. During the sales consultation with Dave, I identified that I wanted better control of humidity and asked to have this taken care of through the thermostat. I was disappointed when the job was done and I was left with a thermostat without humidity control or readings. When Rob heard this he immediately said he would correct this and worked out a very favorable deal. I now have a great Honeywell Prestige IAQ thermostat that has full control of the humidifier, furnace and air conditioner.

I've got to hand it to Rob and Dave. I highly recommend Reliable Home Comfort to those with HVAC needs in the GTA. Thanks Rob for the great follow-up!

We got five or six estimates and Dave was the most reasonable for the product and warranty offered. The teams work was completed in a day and they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves...I hardly knew they were there!

We used Reliable to upgrade our aging KeepRite furnace and our broken air conditioning unit.

They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

We installed high-efficiency models. The installers arrived on time and the installation was completed in one day. They disposed of the old appliances and cleaned up after themselves.

Rob followed up with a phone call a few days later, and also came back to tweak a few settings that we wanted changed.

This past Tuesday evening around 9 pm my furnace exhause fan started making a high pitch noise. I called Reliable Home Comfort expecting to leave a voice message to book an appointment to have it repaired as soon as possible (because we are in the midst of a deep freeze with two small children). To my surprise the telephone was answered and answered some basic questions. A time slot was booked at that time for service men to come. They come in, looked a the furnace, made a recommendation with a quoted price and upon agreeing to it, they got to work.
Thank you for a responsive job and well done. The service men were very friendly and professional. Now I have peace of mind again with my furnace.

Reliable came to our rescue. They responded to my call very promptly and were at our house within 24-hours of the call. Both Rob and Jamie were extremely helpful and professional. Not to mention just really nice, approachable guys. They even made the trip back to our place--they day after the storm--to help us with a small issue. Would most certainly call them again!

Sometimes things work out well. My experience with Reliable Home Comfort was one of those happy occasions.
In January, I had Reliable install a new heating and air conditioning system in my home. The price was competitive but what was more important was the honesty and professionalism of the people at Reliable. They were on-time, on budget and always helpful. They stayed late on the day of the installation (until 9 PM) and follow up details were handled promptly and courteously.
It's never easy having to replace a heating and air conditioning system. But with Reliable I got the best service at a competitive price. And that made everything so much easier.
