I contacted Captain Electric to get a quote for a 200 amp upgrade and to inspect the electrical on a pool and hot tub for a property we were purchasing. When I spoke to Diane, she told me about their whole home electrical inspection for home buyers, which would include the requested services and then some. Dave came out and was very thorough with his inspection. Our house turned out to be an electrical mess. The quote for the 200 amp upgrade - which would correct the electrical deficiencies - was very fair and we scheduled the work to commence the day after we took possession. We also opted to have smoke/CO2 alarms installed.
The work was scheduled to take place over two days. Dave and his team (Dan, Ryan, and Kevin) did a fabulous job. They were always on-time, always wore their shoe coverings in the house, were so nice and polite to talk to, and in addition to the upgrade, they also fixed other minor electrical problems (like a broken receptacle). On top of their already heavy workload, they made time to install 3 ceilings fans in the bedrooms upstairs for us (and it was a good thing because our furnace broke the day after the work was completed, so we had no A/C).
What really impressed me is their commitment to customer service and how willing they are to go above and beyond. The previous owners of the home left a bunch of their garbage behind (including a heavy metal cabinet in the garage). Dave very kindly took away the metal cabinet, broken electrical items, and other items so that we did not have to dispose of them. I'm truly amazed and humbled by how much Dave and everyone at Captain Electric was willing to go out of their way to help us. Truly a fantastic company with fantastic people. My only complaint is that they would not allow us to treat them to lunch! We wanted to show them in some small way how much we appreciated their work, but this review will have to suffice. A big thank you again to Dave, Dan, Kevin, Ryan, Diane, and everyone at Captain Electric.
