Electrical Upgrade

Tim and his apprentice did a great job. They arrived on time, were very friendly and answered all my questions. They updated a few old school dimmers, installed a new outlet, upgraded my ancient exterior outlet, and updated my bathroom fan/light from one switch to two (a much bigger project then I realized). I would definitely hire them again.

100amp to 200amp upgrade

Great job by the guys at Captain Electric - upgrade was done as well as a couple of new circuits installed to my back deck. The entire panel was checked and marked on the panel. Outside meter box was also replaced. Great job and would have these guys back

I lost power to the west side of my house.
Jackson arrived a bit early (which was perfect). Diagnosed the problem very quickly; provided multiple options as well as cost. Absolutely no pressure tactics. Very pleasant; very professional.
I'm an older single woman who has been taken advantage of by tradesmen in the past.
I am incredibly impressed with Captain Electric; would not hesitate to contact them in the future if needed.

Light fixtures, dimmers and receptacles

We had a hanging light fixture installed, one potlight created several dimmers installed and all our receptacles changed.

Tim and his apprentice Trey (sp?) explained the process, cost and were responsive when we asked for some things to be added or readjusted after installation. We got to ask a lot of questions, which was nice.

Overall a pretty smooth and pleasant process

Electrical issue

Contacted this company for an electrical issue. Two electricians came and spent 1 hour trying to identify the problem, they were not able to identify the problem after 45 minutes. Said that we would need a further diagnostic for $800.
We had our handyman take a quick look at the issue and identified that it was a tripped GFCI outlet, he reset the outlet and problem solved.

This company is very underhanded, do not use them!

A Patient Care area falls under Section 24 of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. A Medical facility is wired differently than a home, and Electricians know this, and would not expect a GFI to pass through to patient care area receptacles, so attention was focused on the panel circuits. The panel was checked thoroughly. We were told by a staff member that the room in question would be occupied within 5 -10 minutes. minutes, so a plan to return under a further diagnostic was presented. This was explained to the owner.
