Earlier this month, after a furnace inspection it turned out that the heat exchanger was cracked and needed to be replaced. Of course this happens when the furnace is 13 years old, past the 10 year warranty on it. Thankfully it didn't happen in the middle of winter, but we still needed to use a portable heater to keep the house somewhat warm. Now the furnace was, I believe, a Comfortmaker brand, a high efficiency, but not a top of the line brand. Anyways the cost to replace the heat exchanger is significant, so I decided to replace the furnace with a newer, better quality name brand. After doing some research online on different brands and at different review sites(your head will spin after a while, there's something like 100 different brands of furnace and a/c makers, though many are made by the same companies) the points I came away with were, any of the major name brands are all built well nowadays and come with good warranties, but the most important thing is to find a good installer to insure a long and trouble free installation. After getting a few estimates we ended up with a local company, Stouffville Home & Comfort. Now the a/c we had was a Coleman brand. Though it still ran well, it was 23 or 24 years old. So I decided to replace the a/c as well and was able to take advantage of rebates of $650. The brand we went with was Amana. They seem to be a good brand with one of the better warranties. Brian and his crew from Stouffville Home & Comfort are real pros when it came to the installation. They did a top quality job inside and out, very neat and professional. After inspecting the job I can see the difference in the quality of the work they did. It all looks perfectly done and solid. I would recommend Brian and his team very highly to anyone who needs a new furnace or a/c. Also the units look very impressive, very solid looking. Can't wait to try out the a/c next summer. Have had the furnace going now for a couple of weeks, working great and very comfortable. Good luck to all in their hvac needs.

Dave did a great job. Price is competitive and reasonable. Arrived on time, assessed the awkward furnace space he had to work with and then trouble-shot his way to successfully cleaned ducts and drier. A MacGyver of duct cleaning! I learned a few things along the way as well. This is his own company and that pride and commitment is reflected in his work.

I had Dave and Evan provide whole home duct cleaning at my home today. They were running a little late and called me ahead of time to give me a heads up which was not a problem.

I just wanted to commend Dave & Evan on the stellar job they did in cleaning my ducts at home. They were at my house for over 2.5 hours cleaning the ducts, they were meticulous and really did "TOP NOTCH" work. They fully explained why they were doing what they were doing and why other companies don't do it the same way saving time and money. As well he indicated that the way i had had it done before MedAir came in could have resulted in damage to my new HVAC system which i was not aware of. He also gave me a couple of pointers how to balance the homes heating and cooling and a DIY solution that would help to equalize the cool basement with the rest of the house.

I'm very impressed and will be calling upon him the next time i need duct cleaning. I would not hesitate to recommend his work to anyone.

We moved in to our home which had a 22 year old furnace and no central air. We called Brian at Stouffville Home & Comfort, and he came to our home to discuss our options. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and clearly listed our options along with his recommendation (which was not the priciest, but what he thought would be the best option for our home). He even told us about a government rebate program that was being offered at the time, which we were not aware of, so we certainly appreciated that. They installed the new furnace and A/C the following week (March 2012) and we have been very happy since! The installation process was painless and Brian made sure to talk to us throughout, explaining what they were doing throughout the day. The furnace and A/C have been working great, 0 problems. It's been 7 months now, and the furnace, A/C and duct work still all look fantastic. Thanks again Brian for making our home comfortable! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

Stouffville Home & comfort were very quick with their service and helped us immensely with a couple of separate projects.
They were also instrumental in solving a gas dryer hookup.

When our very old furnace called it quits, Brian gave us great advice and recommended a good replacement that suits our needs. Shortly after, Eddy, who was very friendly and knowledgeable, came to the house and did a very thorough inspection and finalized the deal. The guys who came to install the furnace were nice and professional in their uniforms. We had a small operational issue after they left, but after getting in touch with Brian, the guys came back the same day, even though it was early evening, to fix the problem. We were impressed by the whole experience and would not hesitate to recommend them.

A week ago, Dave and Evan did an excellent job in providing duct cleaning services at my home. What impressed me most was their professionalism and respect they showed to me as their customer. They are certainly very knowledgeable about their work and did it exceptionally well. They checked with me before they made any changes (eg if they needed to make a hole somewhere) and explained everything to me as they went along. Also, they gave me lots of advice on several issues dealing with maintaining my home energy efficient and I found that incredible. Futher they showed me things the last serivers did not do properly and offered to fix a few things for me free. And they work well together too! I was so impressed with their expertise and the quality of their work that I told Dave I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anybody willing to call me for an opinion.

Hear about this company word of mouth. Ran into them at Stouffville Strawberry Festival. Spoke with Eddy Salesman. Paid us a visit. Both wife and I were impressed. Deal made and both installed early July. Very nice people. Very professional clean and tide. System working well and up to scratch on A/C. So far very pleased. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Wife wanted top of the line. Have to wait for Winter to see how Furnace performs. I would recommend this company to anyone who looks for quality. I think they are going to be around for a while. I personally prefer small companies like this one as they give you better service.

I have been happy with Dave's work every time - the first was a year ago when I moved into a new home and had Dave clean the ducts and the carpets. Found his service was professional and he stood by his quote. No surprises. Dave comes across as very honest and he is a friendly person. Today, over a year later, I noticed a leak from my furnace and my AC was not working so well. I called Dave at 7 pm and he was at my place at 7:45 PM and helped me fix the problem very quickly. Also gave me lots of great advice. He has some trusted folks he will recommend when they are more suitable for certain jobs and I have used one of them to with great satisfaction. Dave's rates are very good and he really does a quality job. I recommend him whole heartedly. So much so this is my first recommendation on HomeStars.
