They were a good bunch to work with. They came in, got it done and I was quite happy with the work. Because of the flood, the work didn’t end up good in the end but of course that isn’t their fault.

Day 1 (26 Mar)To keep it short and sharp. Unprofessional job done and deeply overprice. I have tried their service Today. The Lady got my hp number wrong (i was told by her), waited for call from 10am to 1pm. No call. Finally call them at 12:30pm for confirmation and the lady told me Travis will be coming in half hour. Travis was nice and friendly, however the job done is far from satisfactory. Shower taps installed were uneven, one tap protruding further from the wall than the either, one of the dry wall was cracked, dented and chipped off during the work, which is fine with me as Action Auger has agreed to pay for the repair on this but the thing is, I need to take time off to get someone/contractor out to do this extra work, worse of all after he left, I found 1 burnt mark on my bathroom floor (likely done by the solder) and a cracked tile on the wall which I will inform Travis tomorrow when he to come to my home to remedy my situation. I am interested to know how this will turn out. Apparently, I was looking for solutions to my problem, but I got more problems now than solution. Will update my case in due time.....Day 2 (27 Mar): Okay, Travis came and fixed the tap issue. I showed him the rest of the damages which he created yesterday, the burnt mark on the bathroom floor and tiles. He was in denial at first, so I told him to take a pictures and informed the owner, Brham on the situation before proceeding further. He did. I will sent the owner an email with pictures tonight. Will update my case and share with you in due time. (1st May) Spoken to Brham, we have come to an reasonable settlement for the damages and I am satisfy with it.

In the spring of 2013 we had a new gas range hooked up by Action Auger. The plumber that did the work for us was on time, very helpful and patient. The range was a slide-in and he not only completed the hookup but he helped me level and fit the range properly. We are very ahhpy with their work.

Was super happy with these guys. Came out on time and came to work. I needed a new garb, they gave me a price and I was like sure when can we get this done. They did it right than and there!!! I was able to go back to work and not waste anymore of my time. The whole process was seemless.

My furnace went our at midnight so I canned action auger as apparently I needed a new surface igniter. Kale from action auger came out and was at my house by 1am and fixed this issue for me. I live alone and cant imagine what I would have done with out him. thank you Action Auger and Kale for being so helpful, especially considering the time of day:)

We had a leak under the sink and my husband tried to fix it, and although he was 50% successful, we needed to call a plumber. He also changed the tap and was not sure how to install the drain piece. I called Action Auger (had a fridge magnet with their number) and was really pleased. Darryl with the big smile came out and had the leak fixed in no time. He changed the drain and in the meantime, I had picked up a new tap for the other bathroom and asked if he would change that, too. He said he'd be happy to and went over the costs for me. Actually, he went over the costs prior to starting any of the work, which I appreciated. I was so pleased with his work, that I signed up for the Diamond Club and will let Action Auger do yearly inspections. Darryl did let me know that the Poly-B that is installed in our 1994 home is now obsolete and may eventually will have to be changed out. Darn! We talked about approximate cost for that, as well. Darryl was terrific. Thank you!

I had a leaky polybutylene pipe in my basement and asked action auger to come out on Nov 12th, 2013. The tech, Jason A made me aware of the charges and had me sign. Then, as he wasn't sure what to do to best tackle the task at hand, he called in a few reinforcements for a second opinion. After arriving at 11am and finishing around 4:30pm, he starts making up a new invoice with charging a total upwards of $500 dollars instead of the 282 I initialed next too. He said he made a mistake and the accurate charge is the $500 one. After I refused to pay and threatened to call the BBB on him, he called the office. In the end I only paid what I was made aware of and cannot figure out why AA would feel compelled to charge me for service charges I was not made aware of in the first place. Don't use this company or their diamond club as it is just a way to lock you in to their overpriced service fees. They overcharge for everything and will squeeze every last penny out of you.

Yes, I had him call the office for 45 minutes and he finally got a hold of someone after the 4th try. During those 45 minutes until he was able to reach a supervisor he was adamant about not leaving until he was paid in full and it was the end of the day and he was unable to reach anybody. Once he called and got a manager, the manager already knew about the situation(from the journeyman who was already onsite giving his second opinion) and said it was OK to charge the initialed price. So my question is: Had Jason not left my property until I paid the $500+ tab, and I paid him, would you have refunded my money the next day or would you have waited until I called the BBB and filed a formal complaint?

I called Action auger because out hot water on demand system was not producing hot water. They advised it would be $69.99 to get the plumber to come to my house. That was fine. When he got to my house he advised me it would be an addition $100 to tell me what was wrong with my hot water system. 3 hours later his diagnoses was that he didn’t know what was wrong, but perhaps a $1300 flush of the system would help. While he was at our house he also unplugged a toilet for an addition $199. As he claimed he fixed the hot water and went on his way. After which we looked at his math on our bill and he added extremely wrong. $69.99 + $100 + $199 = 488.94+ GST So we ran after him to get our money back, which took some convincing. Once we discover that we still did not have hot water we called them back. The manager advised that yes we would need to do the $1300 flush because our system was know for being crapy. We didn’t believe that or have a spare $1300 laying around so we called another plumber. Who was able to fix the problem, and do the flush (just in case for $369 in total) Would not recommend.
Also the next day Action Auger showed up unannounced to try and fix the problem again. I was so taken aback that I didn’t bring up my issues at that time but wish I had. I told them I had already gotten it fixed. That made them happy as they already had my money and they left. Also on the innitial visit they were to come between 10-2 but showed up well after 2. Wasting my day.

We have used Action Auger a few times in the last 2 years. Yes they have made us smile! We have been impressed with all the techs that have come. We are out of town at Mossleigh and know there is a fee to travel. We like the flat rate for dispatch and travel instead of by the km which has cost us in the past which has been double or more. We have called and had someone come the same day for pressure switch and again for our boiler. When they had to come the second time to do the flush on our boiler the dispatch fee was waived.The techs we have had were Geoff, Lee, Kale and Wayne.It is nice that when you call you speak to a real person and not have to do the 20 questions and transfers and hold for 20 minutes first. All of they were professional and knowledgeable. We will definately use Action Auger again and recommend them to friends and family especially those that are out of town. This is a company that understands what customer service means!

I had a 40 Gal hot water tank installed for close to $1400.00 dollars.
(The tank is worth maybe $600.00). I was at work when my wife
phoned about the pilot light going out on the old one.The tech said he could not fix it and the burner needed replacement.(1 to 2 week on replacement) He then said it would be a $300.00 service call, but would wave it if we bought a new tank.
And stupid us...this is what we did.
The tank only has a 8 year life with 1 year warranty from them.
I have never heard of a company charging install fees of approx.
$700.00 for services like this. Going to BBB to complain.
