Ordered a pool ladder April 13th, nobody can tell me where it is, don't buy from this company

Watch out for this company. They list items as "In stock". After you buy, you find out that it take 7-14 business days just to process your order.

And then a indefinite amount of time to get it. It is very clear from other reviews this is a bad company. I wish I had read reviews before throwing away my money.

I have been dealing with the Scarborough store for approximately 30 years and although the service has not been great it was acceptable. However, in April I purchased some pool supplies on line which I paid for in full at the time of order. In May I was advised that my order was ready for pickup but two items were on back order. Since then, over a period of about six weeks I made three phone calls to the store and left a voice mail message asking for an answer as to when the items would be available --= never received a reply. I also sent two email requests to the main office -- never received a reply. Finally, when the store lockdown ended last week I went to the Scarborough store to find out that the two items were in stock which I picked up. No explanation as to why I was not contacted, no apology. Needless to say after 30 years I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Ordered a clear thermashield 6 year solar cover for a 16x32 pool. I received a blue and flimsy cover that weighed less than 10 lb . It would be lucky to last 1 season. I called and left messages and emails to the company and no response. Paypal tried contacting and no response. Paypal issued my full refund. I will use this cover for this year and replace it with another cover next year.

Purchased 2 lights at a cost of $500. A week later they go on sale for $400. I contacted the retailed and they advised me I could return the product or get a store credit. Any other retailer would have credited my CC for the difference.

Very poor customer service.

Fabulous experience! My pump has broken down and neither the manufacturer nor other pool servicing / retail companies could find the required replacement part. When I called Discounter’s, not only was the team immediately attuned to my needs, but they dig into their inventory, found me an effectively “new” part and gave it to my for free!

In a world where no one seems to care about anyone else, Discounter’s stepped up in a major way and asked for nothing in return. Now that is service.

I am so grateful, as is my family. Without this gesture, we wouldn’t have had a functioning pool for the rest of the month of June. Thank you so much.

I am so frustrated with this company....I leave msgs, emails to the manager because of the service, nothing! No response. You think a service rep or manager would try to reply to the complaint let alone the questions for service?! I don't understand them. Unlike other companies I've dealt with, they are even questionable to do business with. Up to you GTA, but I'll tell you, customer service, don't look here.
Not to mention, I know a customer who also went into the store to speak to someone and was kept waiting so they left.

I purchased a Spa tub at the Toronto Exhibition. It was delivered by Mid-September 2017. It was a plug and play hot tub. We decided to have it converted to 220v. We had an electrician wire a separate line to convert it to 220V using a Spa package. Once we turned power on, the hot tub was not heating up. We had so many issues with it. I called Tim at CDS Discounter’s Pool & Spa Warehouse 4630 Dufferin St., North York, ON, and he guided me with directions. We were not having any luck solving the issue. Tim kept trying to help us find solutions. We were afraid the water would freeze, as the it was getting cold outside. Tim told us what to do to prevent that. We spoke with a spa technician and from what we described he thought we needed a new circuit board or that the pump was burnt out as a result of faulty work the electrician did, which would be very expensive. Tim advised that it is very important that the electrician read and followed all steps that were in the manual when converting the hot tub over to 220v. Anyhow, to make a long story short, Tim was very knowledgeable and patient. He managed to provide us with proper information and to rectify the problem. He went above and beyond what he actually was required to do. Now my Spa is running! I thank Tim for all his understanding and for going beyond the call of duty to satisfy a customer that was in distress and in need of assistance.

Terrible pool company. We purchased a pool liner to be installed first week of June 2015, it is now mid July and still no liner. They just give excuses. Avoid this company!

What a disaster! pool install delayed, never responded to phone calls or emails. took us 3 months to get going instead of promised 3 weeks. damaged equipment still not repaired and emails still being ignored. Stay far far away from these unreliable merchants.
