Mckinnon Heating Cooling

During one of the hottest weeks of the summer my air conditioner burnt out. McKinnon was very fast to give me a quote for a Mitsubishi replacement and when I gave the go ahead, it was installed within the week. Can't get this kind of service often.

My kids bedroom in the attic is an oven! And a bit tricky to install an air conditioner as my roof covers the entire attic. Michael helped me figure out where to best place a new air conditioner to really cool down the space. We went with a low wall mounted Mitsubishi with a 10 year guarantee. Mike the installer and his gang laid down a runner to keep the mess to a minimum inside and left no debris outside either. They arrived on time and were communicative about any issues that arose. They were efficient and friendly. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone!

We had an emergency with our gas following a flood. The gas company initially disconnected the gas service followed by a certified technician from McKinnon who came immediately to disconnect the basement fireplace and check all other gas appliances before restoring gas. The process was quick and enabled the other workers in our home to quickly get back to work. Receptionist was amazing in directing my call and scheduling. Technician was knowledgeable, confident in his work, friendly and explained everything clearly. Would highly recommend!!

Experiencing fan problems with my handler unit, we decided to replace the entire unit with an energy saving unit. McKinnon came and took care of everything. They kept me up to date with the progress and were professional and friendly.
They cleaned up after themselves and left the room tidier than before.
I have used McKinnon a few times and have always been happy with their service. Any future needs, I will call McKinnon. I trust them.

Had our HVAC upgraded to heat pumps though the Canada Greener Homes program. McKinnon made things very straightforward. There's no such thing as a "perfect" project. What makes a good contractor is what they do when the inevitable issues arise. Any issues that came up were minor, and were corrected in their entirety. Would absolutely recommend!

Once I made the decision to purchase a new system they scheduled the install for the NEXT day.
Office staff (Jamee) communicated clearly and ensured any concerns were answered to my satisfaction.
Technicians who did the work were efficient, polite and cleaned up any mess they had made.

Installation happened within a few days of booking.
Head installer (Mike) was confident and competent in what he was doing and in walking me through decisions that we had to make about installation and electrical work.
The team that did the installation (Mike, Doreen, Eduard, and Mark) worked really well together over the two days of installation inside and outside of our house.
They took care to do the installation without damaging anything inside or outside by protecting the floors, walls, etc. - which I really appreciated since we recently had new carpeting and painting.
Office staff Jamee and Angie were always available to help me with questions about scheduling and billing. They are really lovely representatives for the McKinnon company.
All in all it has been a 10+ experience with McKinnon so far.
I'm writing within in two days of our new heat pumps. We're immediately enjoying the benefits of the new system. If we run into any technical problems (hopefully not) that may arise in the next few weeks as we experiment with our new system I trust that McKinnon will be available to follow up with anything that might arise.

Michael and his team provided excellent service, as always. We have used them before for our on demand hot water system and for our AC Units. They always go above and beyond with the service.

It took this company three tries to finally get my air-conditioning working. The first guy came out and said the problem was my furnace and it needed to transformer that sales call $230. Two days later he came back and installed the transformer still no air conditioning checked outside at the unit inside and the furnace took videos, but could not solve the problem $430 last visit they sent us senior technician 2 1/2 hours later he found a small part that needed replacing in the AC unit. Wondering if I got ripped off the first two visits accomplished nothing and cost me almost $700 the last one approximately $300 , I would not use this company again. I dont trust them.
