Customer Service Non Existence

We purchased some wall sconces online from this store. When they arrived 1 was had an issue with the glass. We contacted them and they said they would contact the manufacturer. Its been 6 months and we have called several times and sent emails but get no response. The manufacturer says the problem is as simple as Lighting Originals sending the invoice to the Canadian distributor and then a replacement would be drop shipped directly to us. There is absolutely no customer service what so ever.

Do not trust online purchases

Do NOT attempt online purchases. They may be decent in person (we wouldnt know), but we are one of many who have been taken for a ride during online purchase. Please look at their Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints. Our scenario was very similar to those posted there.
- Attempted/paid for online purchase in February
- No shipping details provided
- Multiple attempts to get info from seller over the next couple months
- No response until request to cancel/refund
- Then given excuses, and told theyd get back to us soon
- 2nd attempt to cancel/refund over 3 months later. No response.
- Late May: Had to file a claim through credit card for seller not producing promised goods.
- Credit card company finally refunded purchase price in late August.
- Approximately 190 days of pure joy.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ordered pendant lights in early April and was told they would ship at the end of the month. I have not received the item and have heard nothing from Lighting Originals. Very, very frustrating as they implied they had them in stock. Not acceptable service. I want compensation and if delivery is not immediate I want a refund.

Poor Service

I ordered a chandelier on January 15th 2022 with a delivery schedule within 2-3 weeks. Today is Mar 8th and this item is still not available to be shipped out. I had to request status of my order several times and company's response was very casual. Had to cancel the order and bought the same item elsewhere with a quick delivery.

Will not recommend this company to anyone to buy any products.

Online Order - Where Is it??

There was no indication that the item was not available to ship when I placed my order Oct 6th for a pendant light. There were no follow up emails of any delay or shipment status mid Oct, so I emailed the company. I was told that the item would not be available until mid November. I called the showroom Nov 17th and was told I would now have to wait until January. I don't have a problem with an order being delayed but you can't have people placing orders, taking their payment and not providing any form of communication as to the availability or status of their orders. I ended up canceling my order and placing another order with an online company. The order from that company shipped the next day and I should be receiving it in 1- 2 weeks.

Money grabbers worst company

I bought a light fixture on June 2021, it is August now and I haven't received the product. On their website they do not indicate if the product is available or not you only find out after you paid in full and you contact them to see why your product haven't arrived, they don't have the courtesy of notifying you the status of your purchase.
I have been requesting a cancelation and refund and guess what they do not answer so to me this company is just money grabber.

Terrible Service

Terrible service. I purchased an outdoor ceiling fan for about $145 online with free shipping. After no product delivery and no word from the company after 3 weeks I called them to check on the order. They said they would look into it and get back to me the same day. They never called back. So I called again the next day, they said they were looking into it and there was some problem with the manufacturer and that they might have to refund me, but would get back to me. They never did. I called again and then they finally said they had made an error with the pricing and it would now be well over $400 if I wanted that fan. They gave me the option to cancel the order and get a refund. I accepted that. The refund never came. I called again the next week, and they said I would get the refund within 2 days. The refund never came. I called again a week later and they said I "was in queue" to get my refund the following week. I said no, that I had been waiting over 30 days at this point for either a product or a refund and I wanted them to process it now. They put me on hold and then I got a refund notice via email and text. However, it's now 4 days later and the funds still haven't been posted back to my Visa. So, it's clear that they never refunded the money. I've had to go and file a dispute with the bank on the charge. Hopefully they can reverse it.
During my phone conversations with them, they seemed disinterested, and while they weren't downright rude, they were not courteous or interested in customer service.
Beware, do not buy from this company. They will take your money, not deliver a product and then stall and stall in giving it back. I consider that theft.

Online order

This was my first time dealing with Lighting Originals. I ordered two lamps online in early December. I promptly received an email from Kate advising me of my order status, and providing an estimated ship date. I was informed that the order may be delayed from the manufacturer due to COVID-19, and the holidays. I checked on the order status several times, and I always received a prompt response. My lamps arrived today, and I couldn't be happier with the product or the service. The lamps were well packaged. I would certainly use Lighting Originals again, and definitely recommend them.

ceiling light

I ordered a ceiling light from this company in April 2020 and as of the end of August I still have not received it. Payment was taken immediately upon ordering and there was no indication there would be any delay in shipping. After 2 months I finally called and after back and forth emails I was told it would be here early August. I have reached out to them once again to get an ETA and now they are saying it will be back in stock in 4 weeks, and then in 3-4 days it will ship out to me; so I am looking at another 5-6 weeks STILL waiting for my light. I understand things are not very normal this year, but as a 'proud' Canadian company you would think they would have some form of detection system to tell them when an item is ordered it is not in stock or a follow-up when there is going to be a delay thereby giving the customer the chance to cancel or wait. This company seems to just take orders, payment and then hope they don't get too harassed when people don't get there merchandise in a timely manner. And I was very excited to be buying Canadian, too...
