There was no indication that the item was not available to ship when I placed my order Oct 6th for a pendant light. There were no follow up emails of any delay or shipment status mid Oct, so I emailed the company. I was told that the item would not be available until mid November. I called the showroom Nov 17th and was told I would now have to wait until January. I don't have a problem with an order being delayed but you can't have people placing orders, taking their payment and not providing any form of communication as to the availability or status of their orders. I ended up canceling my order and placing another order with an online company. The order from that company shipped the next day and I should be receiving it in 1- 2 weeks.
