Gem Windows and Doors

We were very satisfied with the service we received from Gem from our first meeting with Phil , the sales rep., until the installation was completed. All of the staff, from the reception area to the installers, were all very helpful and friendly.When we were ordering Phil asked about screen doors but we were not sure at that time if we wanted them. Phil suggested that he would have the side door made so that a screen door could be installed if we changed our mind. Luckily for us he did, because we have just ordered one. The installers arrived when they said they would and did an excellent job installing them. They were very efficient and did not waste any time. The clean up after they finished was great. We would certainly use Gem again if we need anything else using their products and would also recommend them to wanting this kind of work done. M. Dickson

Don't believe a word these guys tell you. They have an excuse for everything. My windows were substantially late, delivered to the wrong address and the quality of the brand I ordered was surprisingly poor. Not a good experience at all.

They ordered and installed the wrong door 8 weeks ago. We have not had our phone calls returned as to eta of the new door and not even an apology. Unacceptable.

We are in the midst of a major renovation (gutting the entire home, replacing everything save the exterior brick) and recently had Gem Windows - Armour Series Triple Pane windows installed throughout the home (all casement windows except for one slider).
the process with Spiro and his team was seamless. the information and guidance we received in terms of that makes sense value wise for our windows was fantastic. we have dealt with Gem Windows in the past but only for a couple of windows at a time. for this project we replaced 15 windows - ranging in size from 2 ft wide to almost 9 ft wide windows. Spiros 'held our hands' all the way through the process and made sure we were comfortable with every decision at every step. the value and quality are on par with other quotes we received and may have even been marginally better - to be honest, i forgot all the quotes we received because there's be so many quotes for other things.
the windows were delivered on time, in perfect shape and installed, from what i can see, flawlessly. Joe and his crew did a great job and the windows looks fantastic from outside. i will update this review in the winter and provide some information on window performance - as that will be the true test. i will also add pictures once the outside of the home ceases to resemble a disaster zone.

We checked out several companies before we ordered new windows and a patio door from Jim, who gave us excellent advice. They took 4 weeks to be made, and the installers did a lovely professional job, cleaning up as they worked. The house looks much improved. We'll definitely use Gem for more work in the future.

We had Gem install our front door about ten years ago. Recently the latch broke so we called to see if it was still under warranty. The part that was broken only came with a one year warranty, but Jim from Gem was happy to give me the part I needed for free! Thanks!

We were very happy with the service provided to us by GEM As related to our ground floor windows being replaced.
From the initial visit from Jim to the final cleanup by Ziggy and his helper the work was professional, high quality, and on time.
We are very happy with the look and function of the windows. The installers also did a great job of showing up on time, installing within the estimated 2hrs and and cleaning up the job site. I would definitely recommend GEM if you are looking for reliable service and a quality product.
My only suggestion for improvement would be their payment policy. It was inconvenient that I had to come in and pay the balance owing in cash or via cheque or get hit with a service charge if I chose to pay via credit card over the phone.

Gem window did a great job with my 7 window insulation. Very satisfied with the triple pane windows. Spiros was very informative and no pressure to purchase until I was read. I sleep like a baby with the noise reduction.
