Furnace and Air Conditioner

We are happy to recommend Cozy comfort plus to future customers. Their sales team and installation team worked with us to get the product we want and when we wanted it. After getting several quotes from other companies, although competitive, we went with cozy comfort plus because of their demeanor and non-pushy attitude

Carrier Furnace Service and Repair

Cozy Comfort Plus (CCP) installed Carrier Infinity furnace and A/C at my place in October 2009. I'm glad I followed the sales person's advice to take advantage of the discounted at the time comprehensive (parts & labour) warranty which was approx $400 for the $9K worth equipment.
Every year I received a reminder call from the company about the need for annual maintenance and tune-up. I did not believe it was necessary as my old Lennox furnace had barely ever had anybody looking into it over its 20+ years of service. To CCP credit, I must say they were never pushy at all.
Although I was planning to arrange for the technician's first visit sometime at the beginning of this heating season when my beloved furnace hits its 5-year anniversary, I've almost had to pay for my ignorance and, to some degree, arrogance... When I tried to start the furnace a few days ago, it would run through self-diagnostic and then turn off reporting same error 32 "Low pressure switch open - Fault". I checked for proper airflow in and out and other things within my competence as advised on Internet forums, apparently to no avail. As it was Saturday, I didn't expect much in terms of getting someone from CCP to look into the issue same day and possibly even over the next couple of days, - just wanted to log the problem and make sure there would be a follow-up early next week (thank goodness the temperatures outside were still forgiving). To my surprise, I got an instant response and was told a technician would be in touch with me that very day. At around 4 pm (again, that was Saturday), Raymond was at my door and, after 15-20 min inspection, concluded one of the parts required a replacement. He was rather delicate in explaining that, had the regularly scheduled maintenance been done, the part's failure could have been easily avoided (those were not just words, there was a proof) and that they would do their best to be back following Monday once they get the replacement part.
Indeed - before 10am on Monday, Morteza (the technician who originally did the installation in 2009 - the fact that speaks volumes on its own !) called to confirm availability of the part. Later in the afternoon, as he was going through the puzzle to determine the root cause, on my request he walked me through his investigation process. In the end, it turned out the trapped inside the faulty switch water - by-product of condensation in modern-days high-efficiency furnaces - was caused by the drain blockage. Once drain hoses were cleaned from debris accumulated over the furnace life and the switch replaced, the heating machine came back to life !
Throughout this experience, not only was I very pleased with the level of service and expertise of CCP staff (especially of Morteza - what a nice person and dedicated professional !), but also pleasantly surprised by the company's good will to forgo the charge for replacing the part that failed due to my own negligence ;-)

Napoleon Gas Fireplace

We recently purchased a Napoleon Gas Fireplace from Cozy Comfort. Brian helped us out every step of the way, from choosing the right one to getting it installed, as we did not have a fireplace of any kind at home. The guys who came to install the fireplace at home - Raymond and Amir - were very puctual, polite, knowledgeable and organized. I would like to thank the whole team at Cozy Comfort for a job well done. I will definitely recommend them to our friends and family. Excellent work.

cooling not working

my apartment cooling system stopped working on the hottest day of the summer! called a few companies but Cozy Comfort already had a tech. in my area and they were quick to respond. Technician was very polite and knowledgeable. He spent over 30 minutes to check my unit which was in a very tight spot and finally got my cool back.
I would not hesitate referring Cozy Comfort Plus to any one.
Thanks Cozy!

Ductless A/C not working

I highly suggest you do not hire Cozy Comfort to install anything for you unless they match the labour warranty to the parts warranty. And even then shop around.

I hired Cozy Comfort to install a ductless A/C unit manufactured by Mitsubishi back in June '11. Just this past June it would not turn on (3 years later and with really only 4-6 months total of actually using the unit). Cozy Comfort came to diagnose the problem, which took an unbelievably long time (the Tech blamed being on hold with Mitsubishi for so long). I was told the control board must be replaced. The part is still covered under warranty but they charged me a total of $316.40 to replace it in addition to the $145.77 charged for the initial diagnosis. I was disappointed by these charges considering I already spent $4,000 to have the unit installed. Now they wanted another $400 for a repair on a unit that they highly recommended? I spoke with Javier - no idea what his role at the company is - and asked him not to charge me as clearly the unit was defective and it was now costing much more than I expected to pay. He had no sympathy, said they never have problems with those units and just complained about who would pay the Tech to do that work. Not my problem. I think a company like Cozy Comfort should stand by the products they sell (especially if it’s rare for them to have problems like this) and make it right when it goes wrong. I asked that the initial diagnosis fee be refunded and I would be happy to pay the fee to replace the control board (even though I felt that I shouldn't) and this was not an agreeable compromise for him at all.

Cozy Comfort have lost my business. Especially since they serviced my boiled prior to last winter, told me I needed a part replaced and never came to do so or call to follow up - despite my calls to them.

Actually, I think you should take your business elsewhere. You can see for yourself as they have many poor reviews below and lots of excuses.

We thank all our customers for their reviews, good or bad, they make us more determined to evaluate ourselves and find better means to serve our clients.

However, at times there are situations that may be hard for customer to understand and see it from the service providers perspectives (not excuses).
It is a common fact and practice that Air Conditioning units and Furnaces should be maintained and serviced on an annual basis, this would both prolong the service life of the unit and provide indications of some foreseeable problems.
However, since installation on 07/June/2011, we were never called for the ductless unit under review to be serviced or maintained, so a service call for diagnostic purposes, which is a common practice carried out by every company, would make sense.

Different manufacturers have different procedures for their warranty replacement parts, such as contacting tech support and obtaining case # or diagnostics approval. In doing so it was determined that unit's main board needs to be changed, of course, the board would be under warranty but labour $250.00, pick up and delivery from Mississauga $30.00 + HST was charged.
As has been stated on the invoice, after replacing the board, technician also carried out a complete tune up of the unit at no extra cost, which was not mentioned in the review. The charge for this tune up is $140.00 + HST.
Nevertheless, Javier who was the service manager at the time and he is no longer with Cozy Comfort any more, may not have taken the time to fully explain the situation to customer. Above mentioned points should have been explained to customer, plus the fact that due to recent power failures and surges in Toronto, electronically sensitive parts are more prone to damage/failure.

We sincerely hope that above explanation may cause a change of heart as we consider our customers and clients as a family. As a local HVAC service provider/contractor we also have to follow manufacturers and suppliers certain procedures and protocols yet we strive to provide best services to the best of our ability to all our customers.

Cozy Comfort Installed a Napoleon Ductless for us last month. We have been very satisfied with all aspects of this purchase including sales, installation, and the service. The salesperson, Brian, was very informative for all my questions and concerns. The technicians were courteous and professional. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the end results.

AC repairs

The technician did not make the right decision from the very beginning. First he refilled the refrigerant, then he suggested replacing the board. I insisted to replace only the fan as this was the problem. Verbally they agreed not to charge me for the first visit and the refrigerant but I still got charged. I had to get my visa involved and I was very disappointed because I was really patient with them.

We regret any inconvenience that may have been caused, but it also needs to be mentioned that a special discounted price was give to customer to make up for the inconvenience. This price which included service call, pick up, delivery, labour and charging of the unit, as mentioned by customer, added to $710.00 including tax.
All of above was explained to customer over the phone on
22/July/2014 and she verbally agreed that she would remove her review from homestars.

AC and Furnance Fan Not Working

We had a problem that the fan blower on our AC/furnace stopped working. I was concerned that the fan motor or maybe the circuit board might need to be replaced. Mory at Cozy Comfort Plus was quick to diagnose the problem and found a way to fix the problem for just an hour of labour plus the site visit! Thank you very much, Mory!
