Great service! Joe returned our call within half an hour and was at our house that same afternon. The problem was fixed quickly and for a reasonable price! Very impressive!

Joe was referred to me by a relative several years ago when my dehumidifier broke down and till today, I still call on him whenever an appliance in my household breaks down - whether it the oven range or the refrigerator and he has always been there for me. He is absolutely an amazing person and anyone who has been fortunate enough to have met and dealt with him will agree with me. He is very knowlegeable about all the appliances due to his vast experience in this field. He is one of THE BEST. If something is not worth fixing, he will let you know and his services are reasonably priced. I like him for his honesty and efficiency......People never hesitate to make a complaint when something is not to their satisfaction but when they get such a wonderful service, they should take the time to compliment and thank wonderul people like him for Jobs well done! We were referred to Joe by a colleague and called him yesterday (Jan 2) in the afternoon. He returned our call immediately, and was at our house in Newmarket within an hour. This was shocking actually, as I expected we would have to wait a couple days at least to get an appointment. After a thorough diagnosis, he figured out the issue immediately (the fan had frozen stuck due to ice buildup) and fixed the problem within a couple hours. Apparently this issue is very common with this make and model (confirmed by online Internet research). We found Joe to be engaging, honest, focussed on our problem. And the final bill didn't bust the budget...needless to say we were very impressed and would give him a 10 out of 10 and a highly recommend to anyone:). Thanks Joe...

Joe Called me back within 30 minutes and set an appointment with me the next day. He fixed the problem on the spot and I have not had an issue since. This is my 2nd time calling Joe in the last 3 years He is very honest and his rates are amazing . I would recommend and use Joe again and again for my appliance needs I even just referred him to my neighbor.

My fridge was not cold and I could see that the fan was failing. I probably could have replaced it myself but it was Friday evening and food was spoiling.

I called Control at around 9pm and got a call back around 20 minutes later. Joe came by promptly the next morning (Saturday) at the agreed time and called first to let us know he was on the way. He quickly assessed the situation and replaced the fan from stock in his truck.

Our 5 year old refrigerator broke down just before the weekend including big party planned. It took Sears 5 days to show up for 10 min and diagnose the problem. Broken fan. $120.00 later they said that it would take another full week to get a repair man in which we would pay for again plus parts.
I went to Homestars which is a great website and should have gone here first and then I found Joe. I called at 12:35 and Joe called back within a a half our, said he's with two clients and would be right over within 2 hrs. He arrived around 3:00 with parts and replaced the fan no problem. He unlike the sears service man took his shoes off, started emptying the freezer, engaged in charming conversation while replacing our fan.
Now we are set just in time for the long weekend. We won't have to spend more money every day/night eating out.
Sears service was disappointing and I'm much happier supporting a business man like Joe who knows everything about appliances and customer service.
When are the big corps going to learn from guy's like Joe?

Called company on Friday before a long weekend. Joe appeared less than an hour later and diagnosed the problem as a failed timer. He made several phone calls to locate another or a repair, did so, brought it for repair and returned just as he said he would a couple of hours later. The repaired part works fine. Joe tested the dishwasher cycle several times and left with a smile and a handshake. Great service!

Joe at Control Appliance Service Ltd., has helped me enormously on three occasions so far. The first was to fix my 26-year-old Maytag washing machine, installing a new motor for a very reasonable service charge. The second was to recommend an equally-helpful associate for a repair on a gas appliance, because he is not licensed to work on gas appliances himself. This associate proved to be a huge help, not only to me, but to friends to whom I subsequently recommended him, when their gas oven broke down. The third time Joe came to the rescue was today, when my 28-year-old Maytag dryer broke down. He arrived with a new motor in hand, just in case, efficiently determined that it was, indeed, the problem, and quickly installed it. My washer is still going strong after two years since its repair, and my dryer is also working like a charm now. Joe gives sound and honest advice, finds the best prices on parts and charges a very fair fee for his serivces. Moreover, he seems to be one of those now-rare people who enjoy fixing older appliances, rather than dumping them in favour of newer, but less reliable, ones. He is always prompt and cheerful, and I recommend him highly. Thanks, Joe!

My co worker recommended Joe to me and I called him. He returned my call right away and came by my house the same day. (3 hours later)

The hose to my dishwasher was bent and wasnt draining properly and he fixed in on the spot. He explained the entire process and showed me what was wrong. I felt comfortable and knew he wasnt going to overcharge me.

He even gave me a dishwasher cleaner to clean out my diswasher (3month supply). He explained my dishwashers
