I highly recommend Albern! I had initially signed a contract with a large windows and doors company. The same day, Paul from Albern returned my call and asked me to allow him to come by and show me what his company could offer me, with no pressure to change my mind. Thank goodness Paul came by. In the end, the price wasn't much different, but the small details sure were. The other company suggested I go to Home Depot and buy the locksets for the doors and their installer would install them. As Paul pointed out, it would be my problem if something went wrong. There would be no warranty, except the one from the manufacturer. I had ordered a burgundy front door, and little did I know that the caulking that the other company"s installer would use would be white, not burgundy to match the door. I had also ordered a back entry door as well as a screen door for the back. Paul suggested a steel door with a window that also included a screen. It would allow the air in, allow for privacy, and there would be no need for a acreen door, which would hide the beauty of the door. Because the landing area inside my back door is small, Paul suggested that the door open out. What a terrific idea. There are many more cosmetic details that Paul included that the other company didn't even mention. With Paul's help, I cancelled my contract with the other company and went with Albern. Albern installed 3 entry doors, a garage door and opener, siding on the front of the house, and a railing on my front porch. Everything was installed over 3 days, the installations were very well coordinated, and the installers were terrific. I have only positive things to say about my entire experience with Albern, and I am extremely happy. Paul came by later to take pictures and to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the job they had done. Paul even threw in screens for my basement windows at no charge. My parents were so impressed that they ordered doors from Albern. When their doors were installed, neighbours came down to have a look. About a year ago, the neighbours had new doors installed by "my other company." The first thing the neighbours said was "___ didn't offer me anything like that." They had wished they had seen what Albern had done before they had purchased from the other company. I highly recommend Albern and I would not hesitate to use them again. A wonderful family owned company and everyone made me feel that my happiness and satsfaction was of upmost importance to them. This is certainly difficult to find in this day and age. A definite 10+.

In early 2011 we purchased two doors (one front, on side) as well as a front storm door from Albern. They are located directly across the street from our home, so the ease of convenience and the urgency of our need (we had been broken into so one of our doors was destroyed in the process), were foremost in our minds. The initial dealings with one of their sales reps was awful - terrible customer service etc, but upon making the owner aware, we began dealing with him directly and by the end of our dealings, we were very satisfied with the way in which he had resolved our concerns and the finished product, the doors themselves, were lovely.
Fast forward to 2013 (24 months later) where we began to see the paint on the handle of our storm door chipping away, as well as rust on the hardware of our side door. We contacted Albern on May 3, 2013 and after an initial response from that same sales rep (who told us there was nothing they could do), a call to the owner had him telling us that he would drop by, have a look at the rust issue (the paint only has a 90 day warranty evidently so the best he could do there was to provide us with some touch up), and he'd have his Emtak supplier provide us with new screws since they should not be rusting. Five weeks later, after 3 emails went unanswered, and not one phone call from Albern to inform us that the screws were in, we picked up screws and a cylinder for a deadbolt (which was also discolouring), after making three trips across the street to ascertain what was going on! We installed the new screws and hardware ourselves because after waiting 5 weeks - we were totally fed up and disgusted and just wanted to end our dealings with them!!! So the moral of the story, we would NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for new doors or windows............like alot of places, they loved us initially when they were about to make a sale from us, but after the fact, their customer service for us as former clients of theirs, was appalling at best.

Over the years we have replaced all of our wood frame windows with new ones from Albern. We found them at a home show but kept coming back for competitive prices and excellent personal service. Each time we would need windows they were always our first choice.

We inquired about a screen door for our unique stained glass door and Dave Boyes came to our house at our convenience. He was very polite and honest and helped us through the whole process. I was impressed that they built the screen door, ensured the measurements, disassembled the door, custom painted it to match, and reassembled. The door fit perfect and the solid glass and screen inserts are easy to interchange. I am very pleased with the product for the price and customer service and would recommend this company and salesman to anyone.

Fantastic product. Custom made to fit the space, included all that we wanted--interior blinds,top of the line energy efficient and looks gorgeous! I was most impressed with the suggestions which Albern and their salesperson Dave Boyes made throughout the process, which resulted in a finished product which turned out even better than I had envisioned!

We were very happy with this company, from the initial appointment to find out our options, to the installation of the products. We are very pleased with the beautiful windows, the kitchen patio doors and our new garage door. High quality products, excellent customer service and professional installers.

The company did excellent work. They were very professional with everything.The sales man was excellent. Very informative. They were on time with the install and their work area was clean afterward. And many people love the door that was installed! I would definitely recommend this company to others!

Spending a little extra money to get a far better product was a no brainer. Those who don't do their research will end up with poor quality products. Not many window companies ever mentioned Low E 3 . If the consumer knew Low E 3 was an option, they wouldn't get anything else. It just wouldnt make sence. Do your research!!! It's your biggest investment. YOUR HOME!!!

Albern Windows and doors installed my dining room window and my patio door. I was quoted a price, explanation about the windows, approximate time it would take for them to arrive and be installed. All this was done professionally but with understanding of my needs. The installation was done to perfection. Everything was left clean as if they had not even been there. I highly recommend Albern windows and doors.
